Meet Posie! Posie is a Boxer mix that is only around 9 months old and weighs a little over 50 pounds. Posie is a sweet girl and opens up to new friends quickly. Posie is very playful and is very treat motivated! Posie is housebroken and would do best in a home with kids, doesn’t mind the cats and is good with the other dogs. We do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along! Posie is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped & spayed! At Christmas time, holiday tinsel is one of the best ways to spruce up your home with some cheer and festivity; but wouldn't it be great to have some of that same tinsel cheer for the whole year? I'm pretty sure that's where I got the name, because that's exactly what I do! I think it's pretty safe to say we all love the gifting aspect of the holiday season, and I am no exception. As you can see from the video, I love toys! Personally, my favorite aspect of every day, is quality time spent together. I am full of that "in front of the fireplace" warmth that is the highlight of the season...or really any season. Snuggling in the laps of all my friends, giving kisses, joy, and laughs every day of the year would be a dream come true! While I can appreciate some kitty-time snuggles, I am much more apt to be in my person's lap cuddling, but I am happy to share a home with a feline friend. I would be happiest in a home with older children that can handle my occasional puppy-like playstyle (that...and I can be a little vocal and pushy about my need for attention sometimes). I would love to have a doggy playmate, but I do need proper introductions with dogs, as I am dog selective. Being dog selective means that I have made several canine friends, but much like humans, I don't care to be friends with every dog I meet. Any potential fur siblings will get the chance to meet me for a play date before I go home, to make sure we get along as well as ribbons and bows! Cooper is 2.5 years old. He is a very sweet and cuddly boy. He is crate trained but does have anxiety and is on Prozac. He sleeps well over night in his crate if you prefer or in his bed outside of the crate. He has gone thru obedience training thru Bark Busters which is life time guaranteed (there is a transfer fee of $300 if you do wish to obtain the guarantee and need her services). He does get along with other dogs ok, but is very reactive and will do much better in a home with no other pets. He does NOT like cats or other small animals.
