Story
Tyson is a wonderful, 8-year-old Boxer-Pit Mix we welcomed at 9 months, and he has been a wonderful, obedient pet. He is an incredibly affectionate boy whose favorite things are snuggles and being with his people, though he can be overexcited when greeting. He requires little activity, crates very well (often hanging out in his open crate!), and is trustworthy alone in the house. We are rehoming him because new family dynamics, including a grand-babies, means he is receiving less attention and needs a calm environment to truly thrive. We are seeking a quiet, loving family who can provide him with the focus he craves. He is neutered with no medical issues, is good with small dogs, and is comfortable with both unfenced and invisible fenced yards. Please note, he is somewhat protective of his home and barks at visitors/cars. We are confident he will be a devoted companion in a peaceful setting.

Story
At Christmas time, holiday tinsel is one of the best ways to spruce up your home with some cheer and festivity; but wouldn't it be great to have some of that same tinsel cheer for the whole year? I'm pretty sure that's where I got the name, because that's exactly what I do! I think it's pretty safe to say we all love the gifting aspect of the holiday season, and I am no exception. As you can see from the video, I love toys! Personally, my favorite aspect of every day, is quality time spent together. I am full of that "in front of the fireplace" warmth that is the highlight of the season...or really any season. Snuggling in the laps of all my friends, giving kisses, joy, and laughs every day of the year would be a dream come true! While I can appreciate some kitty-time snuggles, I am much more apt to be in my person's lap cuddling, but I am happy to share a home with a feline friend. I would be happiest in a home with older children that can handle my occasional puppy-like playstyle (that...and I can be a little vocal and pushy about my need for attention sometimes). I would love to have a doggy playmate, but I do need proper introductions with dogs, as I am dog selective. Being dog selective means that I have made several canine friends, but much like humans, I don't care to be friends with every dog I meet. Any potential fur siblings will get the chance to meet me for a play date before I go home, to make sure we get along as well as ribbons and bows! If you would like a little bit of every-day Christmas magic in your home, submit an adoption application to the website below, and I promise to decorate your heart and home with all my love! DOB: 2/6/2020 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
Daisy is a pitbull boxer mix. She is 1 year old and full of energy! She gets a long great with other dogs but back at home her and our other dog do not see eye to eye. Our other dog is older and more laid back. Daisy would thrive in a home where she is with dogs with the same energy level or as an only pet.

Story
I am looking to find a good home with a nice yard and lots of love! I currently am in a situation where i can not give my full attention to Bambi and provide her with everything she needs. Bambi is a very loving and sweet doggie. She loves anything outside, fluffy toys, tug of war and most of all fetch. Bambi does not know what personal space is, she wants to be in your skin and then some lol :) Bambi is the best cuddler, she loves to sleep by your feet under but under the blankets at all times. She is good with kids but is very hyper so it may seem like too she’s doing too much. She does have a bit of a jumping problem but she knows how to listen, sometimes lol…Overall Bambi is the perfect family dog and loves other animals including cats. She can be a bit skiddish at times but she’ll warm up quick.

Story
**Razzle's Adoption Fee is now sponsored (3/21/26)** Meet Razzle Dazzle! We believe this cutie is about 3-4 years old. He is about 70 pounds. He is such a sweet boy and is a staff favorite here at Mapleview and the rescue! Everyone loves to be greeted by him in the morning and say goodbye to him when they leave for the day.   Razzle is currently in a foster home and is doing amazing. He loves other dogs and does great with all people and dogs.   Razzle loves all people! He does need a cat free home. He likes to play and has a lot of energy! He would benefit from some basic obedience training and he doesn't realize his size and gets so happy to see people!   We have discovered that Razzle has some allergies which is not surprising with his beautiful white coat and his breed. He came to us with some very sore and torn up paw pads and wounds on his legs. He does better with apoquel, a more expensive allergy medication. He also is on a hypoallergenic diet which is helping his skin as well. He is worth it! He is such a good boy and deserves to be comfortable!   An approved adoption application is required. The $250 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; heartworm and tick disease testing; fecal w/ giardia testing, monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention . Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.May 11, 2026, 12:18 am
