At Christmas time, holiday tinsel is one of the best ways to spruce up your home with some cheer and festivity; but wouldn't it be great to have some of that same tinsel cheer for the whole year? I'm pretty sure that's where I got the name, because that's exactly what I do! I think it's pretty safe to say we all love the gifting aspect of the holiday season, and I am no exception. As you can see from the video, I love toys! Personally, my favorite aspect of every day, is quality time spent together. I am full of that "in front of the fireplace" warmth that is the highlight of the season...or really any season. Snuggling in the laps of all my friends, giving kisses, joy, and laughs every day of the year would be a dream come true! While I can appreciate some kitty-time snuggles, I am much more apt to be in my person's lap cuddling, but I am happy to share a home with a feline friend. I would be happiest in a home with older children that can handle my occasional puppy-like playstyle (that...and I can be a little vocal and pushy about my need for attention sometimes). I would love to have a doggy playmate, but I do need proper introductions with dogs, as I am dog selective. Being dog selective means that I have made several canine friends, but much like humans, I don't care to be friends with every dog I meet. Any potential fur siblings will get the chance to meet me for a play date before I go home, to make sure we get along as well as ribbons and bows! Much like Anakin Skywalker, the force is strong with me. For real....I am a beefcake! Don't worry, I have not gone to the dark side, a lot of my beefcakiness is put to use holding my bed down. But anyone who is foolish enough to underestimate my strength and challenge me to a tug game will get a taste of the true chosen one! I am a fun-loving good boy; but it is fair to say there is a bit of puppy escapade inside me at times. Practicing the righteous ways of the Jedi has been an amazing pastime for me to keep me on the light side. I love going for walks through the galaxy (really, it's been the scenic grounds at MAS, but a guy can dream right?). With continued Padawan training from an Obi-Wan Kenobi of my own, we can harness the force to positive outlets for me! Which honestly, I am so treat and reward motivated that with consistency, I am sure I could be a Jedi in no time! I am a fairly sociable guy, I have made some canine friends here at MAS, and when I met a cat I was more interested in playing with my rope toy than befriending it. He’s a true people pleaser who enjoys snuggling on the couch just as much as he loves playing with his toys. Rocky would thrive with an active family that enjoys playtime and including their dog in daily activities. While he wasn’t well socialized with other dogs early on and can lack confidence around them, he will do best with a family that understands his needs and is willing to continue working on building his confidence at his pace. He does well with cats, enjoys kids, and is both house-trained and crate-trained, making him a great fit for a home ready to welcome a loving companion. Story
Tyson is a wonderful, 7-year-old Boxer-Pit Mix we welcomed at 9 months, and he has been a wonderful, obedient pet. He is an incredibly affectionate boy whose favorite things are snuggles and being with his people, though he can be overexcited when greeting. He requires little activity, crates very well (often hanging out in his open crate!), and is trustworthy alone in the house. We are rehoming him because new family dynamics, including a grandbaby, means he is receiving less attention and needs a calm environment to truly thrive. We are seeking a quiet, loving family who can provide him with the focus he craves. He is neutered with no medical issues, is good with small dogs, and is comfortable with both unfenced and invisible yards. Please note he is somewhat protective of his home and barks at visitors/cars. We are confident he will be a devoted companion in a peaceful setting. We desire to see Tyson with his new family by mid-December for Christmas 2025 .
