We "rescued" a 5 month old puppy where he was living outside and in the basement. We believe that he was abused by the Adult Male due to his cowaring away from him . The puppy was unsupervised with their 3 children under 5. We wanted to get him out and safe. We have 2 resident dogs and one has regressed tremendously in her resource guarding since the puppy has been here. My husband's route changed unexpectedly and he will be working longer hours. I know that I won't be able to handle her resource guarding and a puppy. Louie is precious, loving, smart, and loves his people. He is a puppy and everything that comes with having a puppy. He is incredibly smart and eager to please. Does well with a harness and leash, needs to work on manners. The information that was provided was that he was the result of an "accidental litter", his mom belongs to her cousin and is a "genetically tested and verified" American Bully, and dad was either a boxer or pitbull who belonged to a neighbor.

If you are looking for a puppy, Bo is your guy. He’s only 14 weeks old as of this week and he already loves people, other dogs, but maybe not cats so much. A typical Boxer mix, he is energetic, playful, loyal and intelligent. Sometimes Bo gets goofy. If he picks you to be his family he would be good as a watchdog but he might turn friendly if an unknown person arrives at your home. He is developing a muscular build which means he would love regular physical exercise as well as mental stimulation. He’s “always on the go.” Bo won’t be the lounger of the family but more of the socialite. Agility and obedience trials would be perfect for him.

Say hello to Jolie, the sweetest pup around! This little girl is an absolute ray of sunshine, spreading happiness and joy wherever she goes. Jolie is a bright, curious little explorer who’s always up for an adventure and will charm you with her playful and friendly nature. She loves romping around outside, checking out every leave and stick, flopping in the grass and rolling around and greeting anyone she sees. She’s quite the social butterfly and believes everyone she meets is a friend, both human and canine. She enjoys playing with other friendly pups. She’s such a happy go lucky girl. When it’s nap time her first choice is to snuggle up on your lap or right next to you but if she’ll also happily settle for her comfy dog bed. She currently stays in an x-pen when no one is home and sleeps there at night (although she’d love to share your bed!). Jolie is 9 weeks old and weighs 8 lbs. We do not know what breeds are in her genes and breeds are just a guess! All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Meet Hank! He is a large boy looking for a new adventure! Hank came to TCHS as a transfer from another facility. He is housetrained and will bark at the door when he needs to go out. Hank has done very well with children in the past and enjoys letting his goofy personality out around them. His favorite toy is any type of ball (especially footballs!) Hank knows "sit." He isn't trained on any other commands, but he is very food motivated, so training him should be relatively easy! Hanks is extremely adaptable to new environments. He will make himself comfortable in new situations extremely quickly and is friendly and happy to be around anyone! Hank has met other dogs and did not have good experiences with them. He has not met cats or any other animals. For this reason, Hank should be the only animal in his new home. Slow and proper introductions to children is always recommended when bringing home a new pet. Ask a TCHS staff member for tips! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Now his family has to move back and the stress of long distance international travel would be too much on the Gordon. So his family made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him to rescue. Gordon held several championship show titles in the Ukraine. He is absolutely beautiful! Gordon knows Russian but is quickly catching onto English commands. He also knows hand signal commands. He is a very smart and quick learner. Gordon just loves to relax, take naps, get butt scratches and go for walks. He is good with larger animals but tends to chase smaller animals.
