Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Beau is the shy little gentleman of his litter, a 11-pound sweetheart who’s quietly collecting confidence one tiny victory at a time. When he first arrived, he wasn’t so sure about this whole “humans” thing — but now he trots over when you call his name, plops himself at your feet like a polite little gentleman, and waits patiently to be scooped up for snuggles. He is, in short, the world’s tiniest Southern gentleman trapped in a Minnesota puppy body. His two bold sisters boss him around like tiny tornadoes, but Beau takes it in stride. He’s a gentle soul who’d rather trot through a pile of leaves, find the perfect stick, and declare himself King of Autumn. If leaf piles were a sport, Beau would be the reigning champion, gold medalist, and undefeated title holder. He loves playing with his golden retriever foster sibling, enjoys gentle belly rubs, and is happy to curl up in your lap once his little adventurer heart is tired out. He’s crate trained, great with dogs, kids, and even cats, and has a sweet, goofy charm that sneaks up on you until suddenly… you’re smitten. Beau is still working on potty training and hasn’t started leash practice yet, so a fenced yard is best while he’s learning the ropes, or a home committed to teaching him! But he’s smart, eager to please, and full of quiet determination — the kind that makes you cheer for him when he masters something new. If you’re looking for a soft, snuggly, leaf-obsessed little buddy who will love you with his whole tiny heart, Beau is ready to be your gentle little shadow. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
COMING SOON TO RESCUE: I'm a breeder release looking for my retirement home. I've been lucky enough to have experienced family life so I'm housetrained. I'm decent on a leash. I'm good with dogs and don't chase the cats that roam around the yard outside. I haven't been crated so I will need training in that. I'm a happy girl!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 7, 2026, 4:14 pm

Story
COMING SOON TO RESCUE: Simplest way to describe me is like Rainman..... so smart, yet a few cards shy of a full deck. I'm playful, happy, calm, fun, and easy to train. If you want to play (tag and boxing my humans are fave games), I'll play. If you want to relax, I'll relax. I like kids, dogs and birds. I'm excellent on leash when it's just us, but get overly excited when I see others and will pull. I'm housetrained, but do occasionally have an accident as I'm water obsessed. I'm from a boxer breeder, I just have wonky ears...I swear I'm full Boxer!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 7, 2026, 3:53 pm

Story
Miller is currently housed at Rochester Animal Control- please apply online and PCHS staff will be in touch to set up an appointmemt to meet him! Meet Miller! He and his brother, Stephan, went on an unauthorized jaunt around town when they were picked up and taken in to Rochester Animal Control. Their owners were located, but ultimatly decided that they were unable to keep them any longer. They were released to Rochester Animal Control and now are on the look out for their forever homes! While these boys do get along, they don`t need to be adopted to the same home. Miller is larger than his brother, and is the more dominant of the two. Stephan and Miller have both lived with other dogs in tehpast, and have done well. Both are goofy and happy boys who would love to find active families to enjoy life with! Miller is around 2 years old and would benefit from getting some basic training to help hone in on his manners, and help him build his confidence. Are you looking for a fun and adorable Boxer to join your family? Apply online! *Applications for adoption can be found on the homepage of the website.**Adoption fee: $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax
