Story
Zeus is a sweet boy. He truly just wants love but won't ask for it. He likes treats, but doesn't have interest in chewing or playing with toys. He likes going to the river and lake, riding in vehicles and trucks, and hanging out. He may seem grumpy at first, but definitely warms up quickly once he knows he is safe. We got Zeus when he was 6 months old, but he was abused by his previous owners. With that said, I feel his trust issues stem from that part of his life. He does not like fireworks and loud noises. He does deal with kids great because he is so calm and grew up with 2 kids. He likes to have a specific place to sleep that is as big and soft as possible. He's a lover, end of story. I want him to enjoy his last years doing what he loves ❤️ with people who love him

Story
Where do I start with Sebastian? Heis quite a character. Even his crooked smile. Hevery loving and loves to play. He loves squeaky toys & absolutely loves a tether ball. He is 8 months old and is a beautiful brindle. We are wanting to rehome him because he is used to someone being home during the day and that, unfortunately, has disappeared due to me having work in office. He gets severe anxiety from the kennel. We have tried several times and he gets extremely upset so we’d like to see him go to a family that will be able to be home during the day. Currently, we have someone come in and let him out several times a day because he hates the kennel. He does have an occasional accident, but really is potty trained. He knows how to sit, shake, watch me, no jump, and leave it. He loves all people, especially kids. He loves to snuggle. He loves to be nosthrough the windows. He does voice his opinion. We just want him to go to a home that can give him lots of love.

Story
I’ve had Penelope since she was 10 weeks old, she is now 2. Her birthday 9/9/22. She’s fully grown and 48lb. She’s a snuggly bug full of character who keeps us laughing. Penelope is smart and loves to learn, she picks up on training and tricks very quickly. She’s has had basic training classes and is AKC star puppy certified. We have two other dogs and she struggles with guarding toys so she needs a single dog home. She’s also nervous around children. She loves being outside, nose to the ground and exploring. Penelope also loves a good nap and will happily snuggle up in a blanket for a long afternoon snooze. I would say she’s medium-low energy. She likes to talk and will use her voice with grumbles and all kinds of noise to tell you what she’s thinking. To be clear: she’s nervous with kids, not aggressive. She likes other dogs, but deals with guarding so being in a single dog home would be best for her. She’s never seen a cat

Story
Goody is an energetic 3-year-old boxer pitbull mix. He was my brother's dog. My brother passed away recently and I am unable to take care of Goody due to my poor health. He is a good dog and loves to run around and chew on his bones. He is a fabulous companion and will spend hours snuggling with you if you let him. He is fully housebroken. He loves children and is extremely food motivated. He would make a great protector of children and your household. Please consider him for adoption. Thank you

Story
FOSTER UPDATE: Three cheers for foster parents! Welcome to a little "magic moment" of rescue... Nova Lee's foster mom has been working with her on "stay" for some time and we are happy to share that it's been worth every minute. Nova Lee is no longer a door bolter! This smart girl is heading on to her next command "place," so her future family can look forward to a very smart, well-behaved sweetheart that's probably better trained than any teenager in the house... Nova Lee is a fun-loving Boxer Terrier who was born in April of 2016!  Nova Lee is a smart, busy girl who loves playing fetch, long walks, squirrel watching, and yard games; she's also quite the explorer so will need a backyard with a 6' fence to keep her close to home. She is a friendly girl who gets along with all people but she does NOT enjoy sharing her space with other dogs or cats.... as far as Nova's concerned she's the only 4-legged friend you'll need! She knows basic commands like "sit," "shake," and "ball," but her future family might be interested in working on "stay" --  Nova has learned indoor manners and is perfectly content keeping your spot on the couch warm while you're away from home. Because of these good manners she is not kenneled regularly, but on the rare occassion when she is (out of town visits with family, for example) she pouts for a bit but settles down on her own. Nova is 100% housebroken and will whine to indicate that she needs to go outside to potty. Nova is working on her leash manners... she gets excited and pulls but is working through it with her foster family. According to her foster mom, Nova growls when you play tug of war with her but in a playful way; however, due to her high energy and playful personaiity we think that any kids in her future home should be over the age of 15. Recently, her foster mom discovered that Nova has taken a liking to a particular house slipper... she says that Nova doesn't chew on it she just carries it to her bed and sleeps with it like a stuffed animal! This sweetheart is eager to find a family that will give her the attention, love, and all the birthday cake she deserves! NOTICE:  Nova is dog reactive and is working with a trainer on this behavior.  However, she WILL REQUIRE adopter to work with a trainer free of charge to provide a continuity to her training and help her transition to a new home. The suggested adoption donation for Nova Lee is $265. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
