🐾 Searching for a Loving Home for Zoe. We are looking for a caring family/individual to rehome our dog Zoe. 🐾 ❤️ This past year has been very challenging for our family, and after much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to rehome my daughter’s dog. It was a decision made with a heavy heart, but we believe it was the best choice for both her and Zoe. ❤️ 🐕**About Zoe** - Breed: Pitbull/Labrador mix - Temperament: Sweet & friendly - Compatibility: Great with dogs that are not Pitbull breed, also great with cats and children - Special Note: She is also allergic to chicken. 🏡**Ideal Home** We are looking for a loving family, who can give Zoe the attention she needs & deserves. Although, Zoe needs to be the only pitbull dog, she is a perfect companion for other dogs, kids, & cats. She would also love a place to run & play. Zoe also loves to cuddle!

ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! Low-Rider Alert! Rosie is a loving and loyal lady. She is highly motivated by treats and making her person happy. She is very trainable and listens to your every word. Rosie is house trained, crate trained. She doesn’t mind her crate and can also be trusted in the house when you’re away not to get into mischief. She loves a good toy to chew on, her favorites are the ones that last a good while. Some treats and food she’s sensitive to, but staying true to her Purina dog food and proven treat options keeps her itchy flare ups at bay. Favorite thing in the whole world? Rosie loves to sleep under the covers with her owners and wiggle her tail and whole body whenever you come into the room Rosie can walk on a leash but can also pull when she sees something, so will benefit from some more training for walks. She loves exploring a fenced yard and will makes sure all the bunnies and squirrels stay on alert. Rosie does not like other dogs but will tolerate a smart cat (one that if she decides to give chase can get away). Rosie can demonstrate bad manners when greeting and may be too much for kids under 10. She has lived in a house with 3 older children (10+) her whole life with no issues. Rosie loves people and has never been aggressive to any human - family or strangers (just sometimes over excitable, jumps, zoomies, etc) Rosie does not like other dogs and can be dominant. Despite being adopted at the same time, she and her “sister” dog can no longer live together because they frequently scuffle and Rosie has some scars to show. She has been well cared for each time and has no physical limitations or lingering health issues. Her family is heartbroken to part with her but finding her a single pet home is the best place for her safety and to thrive. Rosie very much wants to be someone’s companion for many years. Rosie is a Terrier/Pitbull/Basset Hound. She has the low-rider build with big basset paws. She was born approximately 1-1-20 and weighs 60 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given heartworm preventative as well as flea and tick preventative. Adoption fee is $150. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Story
My name is Murphy and I am a gorgeous brindle boy.  Per my DNA test I'm 37% American pitbull terrier, 12% Australian cattle dog and 7% Labrador retriever. I am a good boy, sadly I've been at the shelter for a long time :( and here is what you need to know:  I need a home with a great leader who can continue my current routines, I'm kennel trained and muzzle trained if you live in an area where i need to wear a muzzle to go for walk. I know sit, down, wait, I love walks and hikes, car rides, belly rubs under the sun, eating ice, doing zoomies on the snow, and I love people!  I have a high prey drive so no small dogs or cats for me. I like children but I think it's best that I live with older ones as I might be a little too strong for them. If you think I can come to your house and show you what a good boy I am, please reach out and let's meet!   Thank you!!!  Love, Murphy.  Thanks to our amazing Angel Sponsors, our long term pups now come with reduced adoption fees, alleviating financial road blocks for some, and making it even easier to open your heart and home to a furry friend. The adoption fee is $100 plus tax and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter and a home training session.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission. ##960891##

Story
Hi, my name is Sigh and I have been looking for my forever home for over a year. I used to have a home and due to my pawrents separating I found myself at a shelter. I couldn’t understand why, if I had done nothing wrong, why? It was so hard on me, I used to sleep on a comfy bed and leaving my home expose to other dogs and loud noises made me very sad and anxious, that’s why I prefer to be the only fur child but I love kids :) I was taken in for training and that changed my life! I love learning and my favorite sport is agility. I know sit, down, stay, come, “give me paw”, turn around, roll over, “find it”, and during my free time I love sleeping on a warm human lap and giving kisses. Oh! Did I say I’m kennel trained? I know my dream home is out there, I just need you to see the big heart I have, I’d love to play with kids, and could learn to live with cats and I'd need a 6 foot fenced yard…. Or I could live with someone who wants walks and snuggles .. . It’s all up to you!    Thanks to our amazing Angel Sponsors, our long term pups now come with reduced adoption fees, alleviating financial road blocks for some,                                                                       and making it even easier to open your heart and home to a furry friend. Story
LeRoy is a 4 yr American Pit Bull Terrier!  He ended up at the shelter by no fault of his own, his owner unexpectedly passed away.  LeRoy is big on exercise and enjoys his walks, he would be an excellent jogging buddy. His favorite yard activities are playing tug-o-war and fetch with his humans. LeRoy is DTC (Down to cuddle) and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite blankies and stuffies. While he does really good with sit stay shake, LeRoy could use a refresher on his leash manners since he pulls a little but does pretty good with a harnesss leash, but who doesn't have a few rough edges.  With some treats and a whole lot of love, LeRoy will be walking like a pro in no time. Come check out LeRoy and see if he's the pup to complete your family. The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel. Story
Velma is a sweet and cuddly Boxer mix (likely some kind of pitbull), that will be two years old this summer. She is always ready to go wherever her people are going and likes to stay near by. She loves running around in the backyard chasing any animals and starring out the window to see what's going on. Velma has no problems staying in a kennel and is house trained (though she might still have an occasional accident in the house once in a while). She has been great with my 11yo son and his friends. But she and my other dog have been becoming more aggressive towards each other, and she should be in a home without other dogs. Velma has been a great companion, friendly with people, and I'm hoping to find her a good home. The adoption fee is basically for her leash, toys, kennel, bowl, etc. and would be able to go lower on the price if that is not needed. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to meet Velma.

Story
Duncan is a 4 year old, male, Boxer mix. He came to us after being rescued from a house fire where he lost his family (owner and two other dog siblings). He stayed loyal to his owner during the fire and was rescued laying next to his owner. He is a very very sweet boy. Unlike a typical boxer he is a mellow personality. When he gets excited he likes to talk and batt his arm at you and he loves to chase tennis balls. He seems to like to find small spaces like corners to feel safe. We expect this is because he was raised in a smaller home. -Duncan would do best in a home with another dog for companionship or with a retired person who will include him in lots of stuff and give him lots of love. He seeks out cuddles! -He does great with our 4 kids, 3 other dogs, and our bird. We have not had him around any cats. - Fenced yard he can run around in and lounge in. -He has had 2 ACL surgeries a few years ago. He came to us over weight but is now at a healthy weight.

Story
How good, good dogs like Sasha end up on the street we will never understand. Sasha was found as a stray and never reclaimed. Lucky for us, because we get to find her her forever home! We estimate Sasha is 4 years old and she appears to be a boxer mix. At 55 lbs, she's a great size. She is obedient, loves everyone, and is an overall good girl. During the day, Sasha accompanies her foster mom at work where she is happy to lounge and hang out. At night, she sleeps in her little doggy bed. Sasha does not like her kennel and she would love to find a home where she can work with you from home or join you at the office. She is the biggest snuggle bug and anyone will be lucky to add her to their family!  House trained: Yes - can be left out without accidentsLeash trained: Yes - walks great on a leashKennel trained: Hates the kennel - has been left alone for 2-3 hours at a time and does wellRides well in a car: Yes Good with other dogs: Yes - would love other dog companions Good with cats: Yes - fostered with cats Good with young children (under 10): Not fostered with kids but we think she'd do well Shy or confident: Confident Barks: No Apartment qualified: Yes Health concerns or special needs: None We believe Sasha is a Boxer mix and was born around 2-28-2020. She is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $300 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter.
