Ace is a former shelter dog that would love to find his way out of boarding as the kennel environment is starting to wear on him after several months. He is 6-7 years old and weighs approximately 62 pounds. Our best guess on his breed is an American pit bull terrier mix of some kind. Ace loves to go on walks and only pulls when he spots a squirrel. He does not enjoy water, but will sit like a good boy during bath time. We suggest that Ace be an only dog and think he would do best with older children. In general, Ace loves cuddling and is usually relaxed. But watch out because Ace likes to keep you on your toes when he has a case of the zoomies. This 6 year old beautiful gentle soul came to us with a torn ACL. She was at a shelter that didn't have the allocated funds to do this surgery and she was in danger of euthansia so we took this girl, raised funds for her surgery, and now she is several weeks out and healing great. She is now ready to move on to her forever home. She is fully housetrained, a very gentle girl, and she gets along with other dogs so far but we definitely suggest a meetup and a slow introduction to seal the deal. She loves snuggling on the couch with her foster mom and has been helping them with a newer foster puppy which says so much about her sweet personality. She has the most stunning coloring and melty eyes. We have no idea on how she does with cats but that can also be tested at a meetup. Let's get Zoey adopted and on to her forever family, she has had a lot going on in the last few months so it will be nice for her to just relax and live her life as a couch potato.

This guy is the ultimate companion, equally happy cuddling up with you for a movie marathon or wrestling with his dog friends for some playtime. Bruegger is a survivor who's putting his rough start in Oklahoma behind him. He's a smart and social dog who loves people and gets along great with other larger dogs. He's also fully housetrained! Bruegger does have a few quirks: he'll bark when you leave, but calms down quickly, and he’ll chew things if they're left out. He's a work in progress, but he gets better every day. Because Bruegger has a strong prey drive, his ideal home must not have any cats or small animals. He was recently returned to us after killing a pet bunny while unsupervised, so this is a non-negotiable for overall safety and happiness. While he is generally wonderful with other dogs, he did have one altercation in a large group setting. However, we do not know what the cause was for this incident, as they were in an enclosed backyard, as they always were so we want to be upfront about this incident. We feel he would do best in a home with older children only and with a meeting, probably just one other dog or as your only dog, but he is a very social dog. We bought Riley 3 years ago in Kansas. Our biggest issues with her is she’s mean towards anyone but my wife. She (wife) mainly does all the feeding and letting her out to go to the bathroom. She’s also not friendly to our much smaller French Bulldog. I have 3 kids and it’s just not worth the hassle. I would STRONGLY recommend 1 or 2 adults only. No other kids or pets. Riley does have a soft side. She loves to play. Fetching and pulling on toys are her favorite. She also loves going for a walk.

Sadie Boxer Spayed female 8 years old, 50 pounds Sweet-natured indoors and game for adventure outside, Sadie is a great fit for a moderately active home -- whether you’re an individual, a couple, or a family, but we do feel she would thrive as the only pet. This Boxer loves couch cuddles, porch snoozes, backyard ball time and neighborhood strolls. Ask if she wants to go outside and she comes alive, spinning in happy circles with a little excited whine. She’s good with kids and has done well with a kindergarten-aged neighbor and her foster’s young teen. She likes a slow hello with new people; give her a moment to settle and, once she feels safe, she’s your buddy. Sadie is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained, though she feels nervous confined in a crate; she has free-roamed for up to four hours with no mischief. Her foster works from home, so she goes outside several times a day. On walks she can be protective and may bark or growl at passersby, but her foster is working to soften that tendency. With some missing teeth, she eats water-softened kibble in three small meals, which has helped her weight. Since she can fixate on squirrels, cats and some dogs, a secure, taller privacy fence is preferred for Sadie to live her best life.
