Story
Scooby is an adorable Boxer mix who was found running in the Town of Lafayette. He is a CRAZY young man with LOTS of energy to burn! But he is very funny and would provide a lot of entertainment for his new family. He would be great in a home with children 8 and older (so he doesn't knock them over)

Story
Winona is about 3 years old, and she weighs… are you ready for it? 101 pounds! This big girl knows how to sit for treats (we may recommend low calorie treats from now on) and she enjoys being around people. Winona must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home, to make sure they get along. Here at the shelter, Winona protects her food from other dogs, so feeding separately would be recommended in a home with multiple animals. * Winona has tested positive for Lyme disease, and is currently being treated with antibiotics * Winona qualifies for the shelter’s Adult Companion Program, for approved adopters aged 50+

Story
Just look at these pleading eyes!  Roman is a sweet, gentle old soul who is about 9 years old but don't let that fool you he loves being outside and active.  He is believed to be a Boxer/Hound mix.  He was a local owner surrender with his sister and son when his owner fell on hard times and could not properly care for them.  Unfortunately, Roman came into rescue underweight and with skin issues.  However, he is doing better in foster care - has gained back his weight and his skin/fur are looking better every day.  Roman loves everyone he meets, even the resident cat.  He bonds quickly to his people - he just wants to please his family and prefers to be near them.  He will need an adopter that is home often.  Roman is potty trained and will howl/whine to let you know he needs to go out.  Roman enjoys cuddling and attention.  He loves to talk and have conversations with his foster parents.  He loves food and is learning he doesn't have to look for food anymore; it will come regular now.  He takes treats very gently.  He will sleep in crate at night as long as he knows his family is near.  Roman is learning it's ok to be in his kennel for a brief time; family will come back soon.  He is not destructive in the home but will search for food items when left alone.  He is doing pretty well walking on leash, but will pull when a squirrel is in sight (and he is pretty strong).  He really enjoys going on hikes with his people then come home and snuggle on the couch with you.    Roman prefers to be the only dog as he wants all of your attention but will share it with a cat.  This boy is so deserving of a home with someone who will love him for the rest of his life!  Roman's adoption fee is $150 which goes towards his vaccines and medical care up to adoption, microchip and costs assosciated with fostering. ##1871837##

Story
Pablo was found and we’ve been taking care of him while looking for a new owner. His previous owner doesn’t want him. We know he is a year and a half and his birthday is august 29th and he is from a breeder but are unsure from where. We are working on getting all of his vaccines. He is not neutered but we’re willing to help with the cost. He is the sweetest boy and loves people and cuddles. He’s young but he sleeps a lot. He very rarely barks and seems to be unreactive towards other dogs and small animals such as squirrels. He is crate trained and house trained. He knows simple commands. Simply one of the kindest boys you’ll ever meet and I’m sad to no longer be able to care for him myself
