Story
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
Lucy is just the cutest white boxer mix. Most of us mistake her for a puppy with her youthful looks but we think she’s about 5 years old. She enjoys her time in the play yard and sniffaris on a walk. She knows ‘sit’ and takes treats gently. She’s ready to blossom in a forever home that showers her with patience and love! Lucy has done well with male dogs but not so well with females and small dogs.

Story
Betty is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, 1 year old female pitty mix who has so much love to give. She is scheduled to be spayed on July 23. To ensure the best possible placement, Betty would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can receive the attention and companionship she thrives on. Betty is crate trained, will run into her kennel once she sees she is rewarded with a treat! She can also sit on command, is great in the car and walks well on the leash. If you would like additional information, photos, veterinary records, or to arrange a meet-and-greet, I am happy to set up. Thank you!

We acquired Donny from a friend who found him roaming the streets with cigarettes burns on his body, someone was abusing him. We took Donny in he was very afraid. We have a dog and cat and he acclimated quickly. Now he is a cute loving snuggly guy. We just had a baby and we weren’t expecting to have 2 dogs and it is a lot for us .

Story
We have had ares since he was about eight weeks old, since then my daughter has been diagnosed with a terminal brain disorder and with her Care and his size it has become difficult. Many home health aids, or nurses will not even come to the home even if he’s in this kennel because of his size, all of our local shelters are full to surrender him. I don’t know any other options other than just giving him away and I don’t trust that situation. We didn’t anticipate things changing in our household, but having a daughter who already has physical limitations now diagnosed with a terminal illness it has posed quite challenging obstacles. We are desperately seeking help. My name is Ares I love playing Fetch, tug-of-war, run around my backyard and I forget my size and love to give you big hugs and try to be a lap dog. I’m silly, I love my belly rubs and I love walks.. my kennel is my safe place. I’m not a picky eater and instead of eating my food all at once I graze throughout the day
