Story
Rocky is an amazing, large dog. He is a beautiful Great Dane Shepherd Mix, and he's got all the good qualities too! Rocky is great with children, other dogs, and passed his cat test. He is house broke, does well on a leash, and knows basic commands. Rocky is overall just a keeper! He would make an excellent addition to your family if your looking for a large, cuddly friend!

Story
Qira is a sweet Boxer mix that came to Faithful Friends Animal Advocates as a stray in March 2017, when she was 11 months old. After being at FFAA for whopping 3 years, she was finally adopted and had a home of her own for a couple of years before finding herself being abandoned when her family surrendered her to Animal Control. When Faithful Friends received the call that she was there, we gladly took her back, even though our heart was broken for this poor girl. Unfortunately when she came back to us the second time, she was blind in in her left eye, but she doesn’t let that slow her down!If you count the days Qira was here before being adopted (995 days) and the days she has been here since being brought back (715 + days), she has been here for a combined total of 1,710+ days. She has spent over 5 of her 8 years inside of a shelter, and that is FAR too long. She NEEDS and deserves to get out of this stressful shelter environment and finally have the home she has always dreamed of. She loves her stuffed animals and to play tug of war. She also enjoys going for leisurely walks and is always ready to snuggle up on the couch! With the blindness in her left eye, she is occasionally prone to startling easily. Because of this, she would do best in a home without young children. She is not reactive towards other dogs when she is out and about, but she tends to be selective when meeting them up close--she doesn't like excitable, hyperactive dogs to be in her space.

Story
So, I adopted Echo from a shelter in Rogers, AR when she was around 1 year (they weren’t sure of her exact birthdate) in October 17, 2019. This puts her at around 4.5 years today. This is when we celebrate her birthday. She is extremely sweet and needs a lot of attention. She also needs a lot of exercise. She still struggles with a little bit of separation anxiety but she has been doing so much better! I love her to bits, but I have become crazy busy with work and I feel horrible I can only take her on a couple small walks a day. Again, she needs a lot of exercise. Whether it be hikes (she loves), long walks, having a big back yard or even other dogs to play with, I believe she would do wonderfully. She does have a hit of an aggressive tone at first with new dogs, but she has never bitten anyone or any other animal. She means well, and just needs someone to understand her and love on her. As much as it hurts, I know she would be much happier with someone who can provide more

Story
Culver is a 7 - 9 month old male Boxer mix. He has a high energy level, so he would benefit from an active family with a fenced yard and plenty of space for daily exercise and play. He is loose and wiggly when greeting, and comes when called for snuggles. He also loves to hop up into your lap for hugs and kisses. Culver does moderately pull on a leash, but with basic obedience training, he should be walking like a champ in no time! He is food motivated and knows the command sit. He mixes well with other dogs in a kennel, but is afraid of cats in the shelter environment. Dogs are generally tested with dogs of their own size; and dog meets with the resident dogs are always encouraged. Our cat test should be used as a general-purpose screening only to rule out overt aggression; we always recommend caution when introducing dogs to cats in the home. Recommendation on suitability of placement with children by their ages is based on behavioral observations including energy level and response to body handling. We never recommend leaving young children unsupervised with dogs, and we cannot guarantee the behavior of dogs with children, other pets, or cats. Behavior evaluations should be considered as a snapshot of the behavior of the dog at this point in time; JHS believes all dog families need to be prepared to invest time and energy into training as well as provide common sense management of their new dog. We always encourage family to do some research on the breeds or mixes of breeds prior to adoption as many can have some unique characteristics that may or may not fit into their families. Always remember that the majority of dogs at our shelter have been exposed to or may have kennel cough. Kennel cough is contagious to other dogs, please talk to your vet if you have any questions about kennel cough prior to adoption. Please ask your adoption counselor at time of adoption if you have any unanswered questions regarding illnesses and treatments of the pet that you are adopting. For more information about this dog or any others at our Shelter, please visit www.joplinhumane.org. We are the Joplin Humane Society in Joplin, Missouri. 417-623-3642.

Story
Ritz 6911 Boxer & Terrier Mix Rogers, AR Young Female Medium Petfinder recommends that you should always take reasonable security steps before making online payments. Meet Ritz 6911 It was the first time that Ritz had visited the Humane Society bark park, and she was understandably a bit intimidated by its scents and its openness. Sometimes takes a little while for a canine to acclimate to the shelter environment, especially if their past had limited opportunities for human interaction or a caring home life. 1-year-old Ritz gradually became more comfortable, especially with a female volunteer, but was still a little shy about the experience.

If you kinda miss your grandpa, and need a gruff old boy to go fishin' with, Tank might be your dog! He acts grumpy in his kennel but outside he's just a mellow meatball! Pretty sure he's got some chow-chow somewhere in his linage (black tongue) so we bet that (just like Gpa!) he will be a great protector when he finds his forever family!
