**All dogs are by appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, Rescueme.org or e-mail us directly at shelter@hbpets.org for the dogs questionnaire*** Hi there, I am Saskia, is 2yrs old, Spayed female, Boxer/Pitbull mix. I am a sweet girl, I have a fair amount of energy, but I run it off quickly with daily exercise, I would love an active home, I would make a great running partner, hiking partner and an adventure buddy. My foster family, says I am amazing, loving, I listen pretty well, I love the beach and car rides, I love to snuggle up to my human. No cats for me and I would thrive in a home where I can be the only dog or have a calm dog buddy. My adoption fee is $200

Story
Banjo is a 5 year old American pit bull mixed with boxer. He's a huge cuddler, needs more one on one time. His personality is active, he needs exercised regularly, or have a big yard to run. Hes good with other dogs in the house, he's reactive to dogs outside of the home. Children 10 years or older he seems to be fine with. He knows basic commands plus a little extra. Banjo is usually quiet, he only barks if other dogs bark in the home or if he's playing, otherwise he's quiet throughout the day.

Story
MEET BILLY THE BOXER MIX! If you're looking for a quirky, energetic dog, a ball of energy ready to rumble and roll, Billy is it! He is a fun-loving 1-1/2-year-old Boxer-Shepherd mix who is ready to rock your world. He's just a puppy and could use some leash training, but he's got a lot of good things going for him. First of all, he's unique and funny - he's got big floppy ears, and one is usually up and the other down. Secondly, he's good with other dogs. He was basically raised in an animal shelter so got used to having other pups around. He absolutely needs an active person or people and a yard would be a plus so he could run around, and then take a snooze. It's not mandatory, though, as long as you are active. He is stocky and built like a tank, and weighs about 65 lbs. Can you foster or adopt Billy? Billy is currently in California still, but can be transported to you in Oregon.

Story
HI - I'M RILEY, and I'm looking for a special adopter! ! I'm a 3-year-old Boxer-Shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a California shelter where I was pretty terrified - I sat in the back and looked at people as they walked by. Now, whenever I go someplace new, I'm scared all over again, until I really bond with my person. I have done fine with other dogs so far, but I need someone who can take me in and work with me to help me become confident and secure. I weigh about 50-55 lbs. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Dukota — a handsome Boxer boy with the perfect mix of goofy charm and laid-back companionship! While Boxers are known for their endless energy, Dukota is a little more mellow than most of his breed. He still loves getting out for long walks, playtime, and consistent exercise, but he’s just as happy relaxing by your side afterward. This athletic guy has a playful personality that will keep you smiling, whether he’s making silly faces, showing off his zoomies, or leaning in for affection. Dukota thrives in a calm, predictable home where he can feel comfortable and settled. Because he prefers a quieter environment, he would do best with older children or in an adult-only home.Dukota can be selective with his canine friends and is reactive to some dogs. However, he previously lived successfully with other dogs and did well with them. He would likely do best either as the only dog in the home or with calm, friendly dogs given slow and proper introductions. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a goofy streak and a heart full of love, Dukota may just be your perfect match! If you are interested in meeting Dukota, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am – 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email it to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment.
