Story
MEET BILLY THE BOXER MIX! If you're looking for a quirky, energetic dog, a ball of energy ready to rumble and roll, Billy is it! He is a fun-loving 1-1/2-year-old Boxer-Shepherd mix who is ready to rock your world. He's just a puppy and could use some leash training, but he's got a lot of good things going for him. First of all, he's unique and funny - he's got big floppy ears, and one is usually up and the other down. Secondly, he's good with other dogs. He was basically raised in an animal shelter so got used to having other pups around. He absolutely needs an active person or people and a yard would be a plus so he could run around, and then take a snooze. It's not mandatory, though, as long as you are active. He is stocky and built like a tank, and weighs about 65 lbs. Can you foster or adopt Billy? Billy is currently in California still, but can be transported to you in Oregon.

Story
HI - I'M RILEY, and I'm looking for a special adopter! ! I'm a 3-year-old Boxer-Shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a California shelter where I was pretty terrified - I sat in the back and looked at people as they walked by. Now, whenever I go someplace new, I'm scared all over again, until I really bond with my person. I have done fine with other dogs so far, but I need someone who can take me in and work with me to help me become confident and secure. I weigh about 50-55 lbs. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Chacha Female DOB: May 22, 2024 Weight: 29 pounds (medium small) Breed: Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Spayed (Fixed) (Spayed during a community campaign — no paperwork available) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Chacha T is a loving, social girl with a happy personality and a wonderful balance of affection and playful energy. She absolutely loves going on walks and enjoys spending time with her people, making her a great companion for someone who enjoys having a dog involved in daily life and activities. She also gets along well with: Dogs Children Chacha T does not do well with cats and would do best in a cat-free home. Some dogs naturally have stronger prey-drive tendencies or become overly focused on smaller animals depending on breed traits, personality, and past experiences. She has beautifully matured beyond the puppy stage while still keeping a fun, playful spirit. Chacha T enjoys companionship, interaction, and being included as part of the family. A Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix is typically a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate companion with a wonderful balance of playful energy and steadfast devotion. This breed mix often combines the Boxer's fun-loving, people-oriented personality with the Black Mouth Cur's confidence, work ethic, and strong loyalty to their family. They are happiest when they are included in everyday life and enjoy being active alongside the people they love. These dogs are eager to learn and respond well to positive reinforcement, making them highly trainable and rewarding companions. They enjoy daily exercise, outdoor adventures, interactive games, and activities that challenge both their mind and body. While they have an energetic side, they are also known for being affectionate and enjoy relaxing with their family after an active day. A Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and outdoor activities Continued positive reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of companionship and family interaction A lifelong commitment to their emotional and physical well-being With love, leadership, and consistency, a Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix grows into a confident, devoted, and well-mannered companion who forms deep bonds with their family and is always ready for the next adventure. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Chacha T will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Daily exercise and mental stimulation Patience during adjustment periods Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Chacha T will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and updated vaccinations Preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because vaccine records are unavailable and vaccines are currently due, adopters should establish veterinary care promptly after adoption to update and maintain her preventative care schedule. Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping her live a healthy and happy life. Chacha T is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Ann Marie is the kind of dog who makes you wonder why anyone ever leaves the couch in the first place. One look at her wiggly little body, her happy piggy-snorts, and her dramatic belly-flop routine and you’ll understand exactly why her foster calls her the absolute sweetest girl ever. Honestly, “Ann Marie” feels a little too formal for a dog whose greatest passions in life are naps, snacks, belly rubs, and aggressively cuddling anyone who dares sit down near her. This girl is basically a professional snuggler. She may not have the trophy to prove it, but she is fully convinced she won first place years ago. Her signature move? The Belly Roll™. The second she senses affection might be available, she’ll dramatically plop onto her back, wiggle-wiggle across the couch, and patiently wait for her spa treatment. Belly rubs are not optional in Ann Marie’s world… they are simply part of the daily schedule. Watch her rolls and wiggles in action here! https://youtu.be/8SoGUl3IYv8 At around 8 years old and 50 pounds, Ann Marie has perfected the art of being the ideal low-maintenance companion. We think she may be a boxer/beagle mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! She’s happy to snooze beside you during a movie marathon, supervise your patio lunch date, join you for a beach day, or accompany you on leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. She’s got enough goofy sparkle left to make you laugh every day, but none of the “chaos gremlin” energy that comes with younger dogs. She is the perfect mix of silly and settled. Her foster says she spends most of her day happily napping on the couch, and honestly? She’s extremely talented at it. Ann Marie absolutely adores people. She lights up around affection and naturally gravitates toward human companionship wherever she goes. She’s lived with a child and done wonderfully, and her foster says she’s been around large groups of people in the home and happily soaked up every ounce of attention. She’s the kind of dog who wants to quietly exist alongside her people, occasionally waddling over for kisses and couch cuddles before returning to her very important nap schedule. When it comes to other dogs, Ann Marie is very much a “thank you, but I already have my people” kind of girl. She’s confident, socially appropriate, and has shown respectful greetings and easy leash manners around other dogs, but she isn’t particularly interested in doggy friendships or chaotic playgroups. Her behavior team described her as more of a roamer who prefers calm energy and personal space. Because of that, Ann Marie would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home where she can fully relax and soak up all the attention. However, with the right match, she may also do well with a calm, confident, lower-energy male dog who respects boundaries and doesn’t try to constantly engage her. If there’s already another dog in the home, her rescue team would want a trainer discussion beforehand to help ensure it’s the right fit for everyone involved. She has also done well around cats, but she would do best with calm, dog-savvy kitties who mostly keep to themselves. Ann Marie isn’t looking for a feline wrestling partner, so playful cats who want to zoom around, swat at her, or constantly get in her face probably wouldn’t be her style. A mellow, respectful cat companion would be much more her speed. She’s house-trained, non-destructive, rides wonderfully in the car, walks beautifully on leash, and doesn’t need much exercise beyond short strolls and sniffy adventures. She would be an amazing apartment dog. And she would be just as content with a yard to sunbathe in. Her ideal home would probably involve comfy furniture, soft blankets, snacks magically appearing on schedule, and humans who appreciate the finer things in life… like afternoon naps and quiet companionship. If you’re an older couple, a retired homebody, or just someone searching for a loving best friend who wants to spend her golden years snuggled up beside you, Ann Marie might genuinely be your perfect match. She’s sweet, easygoing, hilarious in her own little ways, and full of the kind of love that makes a house feel softer and warmer the second she waddles into it. And yes… she still does the happy wiggle-butt thing when treats come out. Some things never change. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
