Story
Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617**Due to Chubbs needing neutered, his adoption will not be finalized until on or after: 7-25-26Could he do well with kids? Yes, with children around 10 years, on a kid-by-kid basis.Could he do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? Unknown. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---What volunteers have to say about this animal:Meet Chubbs – Goofy Charmer, Certified Good Boy, Smiling through It AllChubbs has one of those wonderfully expressive faces that makes people say, `Oh, buddy...` before they`ve even met him. And then they do meet him and discover that behind those soulful eyes is an absolute ray of sunshine. This Boxer-American Bulldog mix is cheerful, curious, and genuinely enjoys being with people. Whether you`re heading out for a walk, sitting down for a cuddle, or asking him to show off one of his commands, Chubbs is happy to be included. What Chubbs Is Like:- Friendly, affectionate, and easy to spend time with- Walks beautifully on leash- Loves being petted and handled- Knows `sit` (and is quite proud of it)Chubbs is currently dealing with some dry, itchy skin, so you`ll occasionally catch him stopping for a good scratch. Thankfully, he`s easily distracted by something much more interesting—namely, you. He checks in often, happily sticks close, and seems to think companionship is the best part of any outing. Toys are fun for a minute or two, but if there`s a person nearby, that`s where his attention naturally lands. He also greeted both new people and other dogs with relaxed curiosity, proving that while he enjoys making acquaintances, he`s perfectly content just hanging out with his favorite human.Chubbs` Ideal Home Looks Like:- Kids around 10+, on a case-by-case basis- Other dogs, pending meet-and-greets- A family looking for an affectionate, well-mannered companion- Plenty of walks, belly rubs, and someone to tell him what a handsome guy he isSome dogs have a way of making you smile without really trying. That`s Chubbs. He doesn`t need to be the loudest dog in the room. He just quietly wins people over with his goofy charm, gentle heart, and unwavering belief that life is better when we`re together.---<

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bo! Bo is a handsome 1-year-old Boxer/Redbone Coonhound mix weighing about 50 pounds, and he's ready to find a family to call his own! This sweet, loyal boy loves being with his people and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. Whether you're heading out for a hike, taking a long walk, or just relaxing at home, Bo is happiest by your side. He walks well on a leash and would make an amazing adventure buddy for an active family committed to giving him the daily exercise he needs. Bo is house-trained and does well when left home alone, as long as he isn't crated. While crates aren't his favorite, he's non-destructive and settles in nicely outside of one. Because he loves his people so much, he can be a little anxious when separated, so he'll thrive in a home that can continue building his confidence and provide him with plenty of companionship. Bo enjoys other dogs a little too much! While he is dog-friendly, his enthusiasm can be overwhelming. At this time, he do best as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention. He is not a good fit for a home with cats. Due to his energetic, bouncy personality, he'd also do best with older, dog-savvy children who can keep up with his playful spirit. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a heart full of love, a zest for adventure, and endless devotion to his people, Bo just might be your perfect match. Bo's Highlights: Bo is ready to give his whole heart to the family willing to give him the love, exercise, and stability he deserves. Could that family be yours? 1 year old Boxer/Redbone Coonhound mix ⚖️ About 50 pounds ✅ House-trained Walks well on a leash Great hiking and adventure companion ❤️ Incredibly loyal and people-oriented Best with older children Dog-friendly but would do best as the only pet No cats Doesn't enjoy being crated but is trustworthy when left loose Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dex is a six year old, reverse brindle AKC registered male Boxer.  He is a real beauty weighing in at 70 pounds of solid muscle.  This handsome guy is a high energy, strong dog that is clean in the house and is not destructive.   Dex has lived with kids, cats, and now is living with dogs.  There is not a mean bone in his body, but he is a dog that doesn’t know his own strength and will require slow introductions to other canines.  He acts like a much younger dog than his age reflects. Dex would benefit greatly from obedience classes and will need someone who is physically able to walk him.  He loves being outdoors and is great on a hike.  Exercise will be an important component of helping him to be successful in his new home.  However, if you are new to a brachycephalic breed (flattened face/nose), please be aware that these funny, happy, energetic dogs overheat easily in the heat of summer and don't make good running partners. One of the nice things about this handsome dog is that he was raised as part of a family since puppyhood.  Dex is being re-homed due to a change in the family’s circumstances and is in no way a fault of his own.   If you think you have the time and energy to help this boy reach his full potential and to become your pride and joy, apply to Haven to Home Canine Rescue to be considered.  He is being fostered in Northumberland, PA. 17857.  Dex is UTD on vaccines, on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, microchipped and neutered.  He is ready to love! Fun Facts:  If you are not careful, Dex will feel free to step into the bathtub with you!  He also loves being squirted with the hose, opening up his big ole’ mug and slurping up the cold water with his extra large tongue.  The same tongue he uses to give anyone and everyone big exuberant kisses!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
Are you one to stop and smell the roses? If so, Rosie is looking for a home with someone who enjoys the finer things in life too! Rosie is a 2 year old, cane corse/boxer mix who was brought to ARC when her previous owners could no longer care for her. We have helped Rosie settled in here at the shelter, but we know she would do so much better somewhere where she can run around and roll in the grass all day. Her zoomies are the best thing about her- and she’d LOVE to show them off for you! She has the biggest smile which means her choppers are perfect at catching things mid air and if its not a toy you`re throwing her way make sure it is a treat because she loves those just as much. Rosie enjoys going for walks and is learning to walk properly on a leash. She has been such a sweet girl to everyone she has met so far and would love to find a home where she can be loved and cared for. Rosie is open to meeting other dogs (a meet and greet would be required at our shelter for any canine siblings, *NO CATS*). Rosie is spayed, microchipped & up to date on all vaccinations. If interested in adopting Rosie, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (it can be located under the ‘adoptable dogs’ section).

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Deitz is an Old American bulldog mix who is true to his breed. He was born in 2013. When he is not playing hard, he just wants to cuddle and warning... he thinks he is a lap dog. He enjoys chewing on bones, deer antlers, and playing with squeaky toys. A fenced yard would be ideal for his energy. If no fence, daily exercise would be a must for him. He rides great in the car and would be a great dog for hikes and long walks. Don't let his age fool you.. this boy still has lots of energy and love to share. He would do best in a calmer home without a lot of people in and out. He does well with medium to large dogs, small dogs we would not recommend. He is not good with cats. Older/considerate kids would be best for him to play with since he is a solid boy. He seems to do best with women and is slow to warm up to men, but once he trusts you, you’re golden. He came to ODAAT after his human Mom passed away in their home. Deitz stayed by her side for days until they were found by family and sadly, the family was unable to keep him. Understandably so, he will be protective of your family. He would never want to lose you. When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are  to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us. Please watch for a welcome email so we can process your application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:55 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Chunk! I am a gorgeous Labradoodle and Boxer mix or as I like to call myself, a Leboxer Doodle! Im a friendly, fun-loving dog with lots of great qualities. I love running, playing, and spending time with my family.   While I can be a little nervous in new situations, especially if I m startled, I warm up quickly once I feel safe. I absolutely adore kids and enjoy being around them! I thrive on affection and praise, and of course, I am a big fan of treats - what good boy isnt ?   Im a big boy with puppy dog eyes that are hard to resist. I also love car rides and enjoy the adventure that comes with them! Plus, I am a pro at walking on a leash, so we can go on all sorts of fun walks together.   If you are looking for a loving, playful companion, I just might be the one for you! Lets make some memories together! Thank you for considering adoption through ODAAT. Our dedication to our animals goes beyond finding them a home; we aim to match them with families where they will thrive and receive the love and care that they so desperately deserve.
