Story
Are you one to stop and smell the roses? If so, Rosie is looking for a home with someone who enjoys the finer things in life too! Rosie is a 2 year old, cane corse/boxer mix who was brought to ARC when her previous owners could no longer care for her. We have helped Rosie settled in here at the shelter, but we know she would do so much better somewhere where she can run around and roll in the grass all day. Her zoomies are the best thing about her- and she’d LOVE to show them off for you! She has the biggest smile which means her choppers are perfect at catching things mid air and if its not a toy you`re throwing her way make sure it is a treat because she loves those just as much. Rosie enjoys going for walks and is learning to walk properly on a leash. She has been such a sweet girl to everyone she has met so far and would love to find a home where she can be loved and cared for. Rosie is open to meeting other dogs (a meet and greet would be required at our shelter for any canine siblings, *NO CATS*). Rosie is spayed, microchipped & up to date on all vaccinations. If interested in adopting Rosie, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (it can be located under the ‘adoptable dogs’ section).

Story
Tony is very urgent. He is a really great dog just has high energy and needs more to life than a kennel. He has lived with kids previously and done well but he is so active that he may knock them over. He was found as a stray a couple years ago and now the family couldn't handle him. He needs an active home and to be the only pet.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.❣️Stevie is urgent! She was adopted from us as a puppy and unfortunately finds herself needing a new home. PLEASE SHARE! Key info:•Good with other dogs•Good with cats•4 years old, mixed breed•House trained, crate trained•Very sweet and loving•Loves walks and is great on the leash•She can't live with young children. •Spayed, UTD on vaccines, on preventatives, and heartworm negative. *Her family has had a series of events that have led to Stevie needing a new home. The following is from Stevie's mom and is long but paints the picture of what has transpired in the past year or so. Stevie is a 4 year old 'super' mutt ( per Embark DNA test!) ( pitbull, boxer, german shepherd, bulldog and just overall GREAT DOG) We adopted her through Adopt a Stray when she was only 3 months old. She was found in a well in the rain and she was one of the surviving siblings. Stevie is very sweet and loving- we joke around and say she 'loves so hard,' because she kisses and cuddles with all of her being. She grew up in a home with a very submissive golden retriever. They have been best friends. Stevie likes to wrestle, play fetch, run around and cuddle. When I was pregnant, Stevie was very protective of me. Laying on my belly, crying when I wasn't in the room and jumping on people to get to me. We began behavioral training to address all of these issues. The training unexpectedly came to a stop when I went into labor while visiting another state. I gave birth at only 23 weeks pregnant and my daughter had a 4 month NICU stay. During this time, the dogs were safe and happy with the dog sitter. We were set to return home when we found our house flooded and filled with black mold. The house had to be gutted and the dogs stayed with the sitter for another 9 months while the house was rebuilt. 3 weeks ago, we were finally reunited with Stevie after 13 months apart. She came home to a new house, new furniture, new smells and a brand new human sibling who was about a year old. She has not been herself over the last 3 weeks. She cries around the clock, she paces furiously and just seems to be crawling out of her skin. When the baby cries or we show her attention, Stevie gets upset. We are worried that once the baby starts crawling (any day now) that it will increase her anxiety and we fear for our baby's safety. We have spoken to 3 trainers who all agree that re-homing her is the best option. Stevie has gone back to the dog sitter until a new home can be found. She has been her usual happy self since going back to the sitter. It is possible that Stevie struggled going back with her family due to the new baby, brand new home, and readjusting to being with her people whom she had not lived with in over a year. A lot of changes! She is in great health- no issues. She has a ton of energy and loves to run around the yard. She loves walks and is great on the leash. She truly is a very special dog and it makes us so so sad to think of life without her. If you've gotten this far, thank you for reading and please please share!!
