Story
Please contact Adoptions (adoptions@thalppc.com) for more information about this pet.  Farina has been waiting for a home for over a year now! We're not even sure why other than she is one of hundreds of dogs in the Chattanooga area rescue system who are also waiting. She is a 2 year old Boxer mix that weighs 50 pounds and, as you can see, she has the most adorable underbite. She was surrendered to a county shelter very pregnant and gave birth to 8 puppies 2 days later. We were happy to give them all a safe place to go so they joined us at PPC when the puppies were only 6 days old. We still have one of her puppies available (Petey) who has also been waiting for a long time.Farina recently went on Local 3 Plus You and showed her lounging personality on the big screen. We'll share the video when it's available, but for now, here is more about this special girl...Farina is a princess and absolutely will not join you on outdoor adventures. So, that means she’d be a fabulous companion to a fellow homebody like herself OR, she’ll snooze while you get your outdoor activities in without her. She loves her stuffy toys and will carry them around in her mouth when she is feeling playful...and when she sleeps, she sleeps hard! You could seriously vacuum around her and it wouldn't disturb her.Farina is insanely friendly. To all humans. LOVES them. Never met a stranger…..for real. She's goofy, charismatic and loves a belly rub. She sits like a human in a chair and can hang and listen to any and all conversations, watch any movie or TV show with you and never complain. She’s truly the nicest person you’ve ever met stuck in a dog body. She does not care for other dogs. Simply keep her home, let her lounge in her own house/ yard and don’t invite your friends dog’s over (but definitely invite your friends over……she’ll welcome them all with open paws!). Farina would truly be one fantastic pal. Hanging with people is her love language. She’s growing weary of life in a kennel (all those other dogs…..bleh) and would love to make you smile every day.  The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter. We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but doing adoptions and meet & greets by appointment only.  If you are seriously interested in adopting please fill our our online application here: https://bit.ly/3HN4Tqq Check out our website at https://www.petplacementcenter.com/    February 10, 2025, 8:52 am

Story
Meet Casper. A handsome male boxer mix with Catahoula Mountain dog; mostly white with brown coloring and vivid blue eyes, weighting 70 lbs. 1 year and 8 months old with a birthday of 12/12/2022. Casper was returned to Homeward Bound through no fault of his own. His owner was transferred out of state and Casper could not go. Casper had been adopted from Homeward Bound as an 8 week old puppy, always living with the same family. He is neutered and up-to-date on all shots. Casper has a sweet and gentle personality. Meeting strangers takes him a while to warm up, but with patience he gets welcoming. Some males have been warned away. But the one person who has had the best connection to him is a male. If you are interested please go to hbpr.org and fill out and submit an application online. Casper’s adoption counselor will contact you. Adoption fee is $300.00.~~If you are interested in this animal, you can complete the questionnaire found on the available pets page of our website http://hbpr.org. Story
Hi, I'm Abby! Thanks for taking the time to review my bio in consideration of being your newest work from home coworker. I'm the package deal - super sweet, active, and dog friendly. I'll be an excellent office assistant who helps you destress in between Zoom calls and would love to be your accountability partner for runs and exercise. I'm a loving Boxer mix who has all the great qualities of a Boxer, none of the bad ones. I have a blast with my doggy friends at the rescue and hope my new home has a sibling and yard for us to play in. Older kids are pretty cool too, but I get a little too excited when saying hello to the little humans and bump into them. I have excellent house manners, am believed to be house trained. Abby raised a litter of 11 puppies at the rescue, but sadly has not been adopted herself. We believe she was previously kept in a small cage because she tends to run in circles when anxious. She has so much love to give and will melt your heart if given the chance. This sweetheart would be a great family dog as long as she gets lots of attention and exercise. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. A fenced yard is necessary to adopt Abby. (No underground fences) Applications can be submitted at wetnosesanimalrescue.org
