Story
Ivy is a loving and protective 5-year-old boxer mix. She was raised with two male dogs and two female cats and never showed aggression towards them. She is extremely cuddly and loves to box, as boxers do. She is protective which means she could possibly be aggressive if not introduced to guest. She does make a great guard dog. She is great with kids that are within the age of understanding dogs and their boundaries. She is great with my 10-year-old stepson and sleep with him every night he came to visit. She is an odd dog that LOVES fireworks. She will chase them and try to bite them so need to worry about putting her away on the 4th of July, she'll want to enjoy the fun with you. The only issues she has is her tail being touched or grabbed, and we think this is due to the past owners very small children. I don’t want to get rid of her, but she is not good with my 2-year-old and I believe this is because of her past. Toddlers are spastic and unpredictable. Ivy is amazing!

Story
Posie is a loving, sweet family dog. She is housebroken. She isn’t a chewer. Posie is fantastic with older kids. She is energetic and up for anything. Posie does fight very aggressively with another dog in our home. However, in the five years we have had her, she’s never hurt another dog even though she escapes every now and then. She gets along with our male dog. She also got along with an elderly chihuahua who used to live here, too. To be safe, keep Posie restrained when meeting unfamiliar dogs. This dog is our heart and soul. You will LOvE her. She’s the SWEETEST!

Story
Calling all Boxer lovers....or any dog lover for that matter! Check out sweet Bea. She's got the squishiest face and personality to match. In true Boxer fashion, she's an exuberant wigglebutt with lots of energy, and is quickly learning her leash manners. While Bea adores people, she seems disinterested in other dogs, and would likely do well with school-aged children or older. She passed all parts of her behavior assessment and is ready to find her forever home. PS - As one of our staff mentioned, she has the cutest "butt dimples". You've just got to come meet her!

Story
Brooklyn is a 65lb black and white boxer-pittie mix who loves to be close to her people. In Boxer fashion, she is loyal, affectionate, and smart. She sometimes seems part human, sitting next to you, resting her head on your shoulder, and she'll patiently hover when it's time to go out. Friendly and confident, Brooklyn enjoys smaller dogs and is great with kids, though her size and strong tail might make her a better fit for older, bigger kids. Whether it’s a playful game of chase, prancing excitedly, or settling down for some quality cuddle time, Brooklyn is a sweet companion who loves both adventure and downtime with her human. She rides well in the car though occasionally anxious. Brooklyn would thrive with additional training but is also content relaxing at home with her pack.

Story
Ducky is officially available for adoption. DUCKY is the sweetest boy. He is a fast learner and the biggest cuddle buddy. This little boy has long baby deer legs to match his big ears. He is simply the cutest. Ducky is crate trained and potty trained. His favorite thing to do is snuggle and play. He LOVES both things equally. Ducky is some sort of large mix. We think he is around 6 months old. He is fully vetted and current on vaccines and preventions. Story
Please contact Adoptions (adoptions@thalppc.com) for more information about this pet.  Farina has been waiting for a home for over a year now! We're not even sure why other than she is one of hundreds of dogs in the Chattanooga area rescue system who are also waiting. She is a 2 year old Boxer mix that weighs 50 pounds and, as you can see, she has the most adorable underbite. She was surrendered to a county shelter very pregnant and gave birth to 8 puppies 2 days later. We were happy to give them all a safe place to go so they joined us at PPC when the puppies were only 6 days old. We still have one of her puppies available (Petey) who has also been waiting for a long time.Farina recently went on Local 3 Plus You and showed her lounging personality on the big screen. We'll share the video when it's available, but for now, here is more about this special girl...Farina is a princess and absolutely will not join you on outdoor adventures. So, that means she’d be a fabulous companion to a fellow homebody like herself OR, she’ll snooze while you get your outdoor activities in without her. She loves her stuffy toys and will carry them around in her mouth when she is feeling playful...and when she sleeps, she sleeps hard! You could seriously vacuum around her and it wouldn't disturb her.Farina is insanely friendly. To all humans. LOVES them. Never met a stranger…..for real. She's goofy, charismatic and loves a belly rub. She sits like a human in a chair and can hang and listen to any and all conversations, watch any movie or TV show with you and never complain. She’s truly the nicest person you’ve ever met stuck in a dog body. She does not care for other dogs. Simply keep her home, let her lounge in her own house/ yard and don’t invite your friends dog’s over (but definitely invite your friends over……she’ll welcome them all with open paws!). Farina would truly be one fantastic pal. Hanging with people is her love language. She’s growing weary of life in a kennel (all those other dogs…..bleh) and would love to make you smile every day.  The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter. We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but doing adoptions and meet & greets by appointment only.  If you are seriously interested in adopting please fill our our online application here: https://bit.ly/3HN4Tqq Check out our website at https://www.petplacementcenter.com/    February 10, 2025, 8:52 am
