Story
Chester is a super happy, super friendly dog to those you admit to your house, but is always on guard to anyone entering your premises- even YOU. When he discovers it IS you, he will do a HAPPY DANCE, even if you were only gone for a second. We assume this comes from being kept in a hoarder's kennel in the woods. Which explains why he doesn't really understand playing in a yard, with toys. In addition to his pulling strength which can be adjusted by a strong handler and a full body vest with extra handle on the long walks he loves, he has never met the toy he could not destroy- please don't waste your money. However, he is very respectful of people property and food, but gobbles his own food in world record timing. While you are away, he make take advantage of softer seating, not realizing his weight makes a giveaway dent in the cushions or bedding. He still shies away from ANYTHING new, different, sudden, or unusual, particularly that occurs on his normal walk route. We love him.

Story
Arizona is a large chestnut brindle LOVER with extraordinary ears who is so ready to go home with the perfect family for her. Her ideal family is active, loving and experienced with high-energy dogs. Arizona loves walking, running, playing, swimming and go, go, going with her favorite humans. She thrives in a well structured environment with a solid routine. She is sweet, affectionate, a great listener and gives the best kisses. Arizona is the longest resident dog at HES, but in all of her time here she has gotten to learn so many new skills and tricks while she waits for the right family for her. She is now the most classically obedient dog around. She will gladly show off how she can sit, stay, down, heel, go to bed and shake hands. She is amazing on a leash and loves to play with discs and Jolly Balls. She is house broken, does well in a crate and enjoys car rides. She's great at learning new tricks too so we hope you are ready for some fun! This sweet baby girl needs extra training and tlc when meeting new people and controlling her reactivity. She doesn't love strangers and isn't a fan of eye contact from people she doesn't know. She can get vocal when she's scared. Arizona can do great with other dogs, as long as they are the right fit for her fun loving, outspoken, rowdy play style. No cats or children please. To make sure that Arizona's transition to her forever home is smooth sailing Dog Wizard of Chattanooga will offer free training classes for her and her forever family.

Trixie is 6 years old but she has more spunk and energy than a lot of pups half her age. She is always excited about meeting people, making friends, and getting lots of love. She is a strong, energetic girl who would probably enjoy a home where she gets lots of physical and mental exercise.

Peppa is a tad nervous when first meeting new people but she warms up quickly. She seeks out attention and enjoys petting but isn't needy or pushy. Once she's your friend, she will give you hugs and kisses. She likes to run and play chase if you start the game. Peppa is super cute and has the coolest markings.

Story
Boxer Pit 6years old Does well with Cats, small male dogs and is good with children as far as I know. She is Not okay at the dog park Nor on walking trails. She enjoys being active. Right now, She barks a lot, so an Apartment setting or houses in close proximity might not be the best option for her unless your neighbors don’t mind the barking, or you have a solution to the barking? just FYI Razor plays extremely rough with most dogs but has a very loving personality and is a great guard. She will do best in the country. Or anywhere with acreage or large yard space. Razor enjoys road trips and treats.
