She will be two years old on June 27 and is a Boxer × Hanging Tree mix — which means brains, drive, and heart in one powerful package. Her story began with resilience. She survived a severe back injury after being trapped under a pallet. A veterinarian stepped in, treated the wound, and gave her the second chance she deserved. You’ll see the scar — it’s part of her story, not a limitation. Moon Pie is deeply people-oriented. She believes she is a lap dog. She thrives on connection, attention, and having “her person.” Temperament & Home Needs * Loves people * High energy, working-dog drive * House trained * Spayed (September 11) * Up to date on vaccinations She does well with a small dog in her current home, but she has had conflict with a similarly sized, high-energy dog. For everyone’s safety and success, we are recommending: ✔ An only-dog home, or ✔ A home with a calm, opposite-sex dog after proper introduction ✔ Experienced handler preferred ✔ Secure fencing required ✔ Active lifestyle strongly encouraged This is not a couch-potato dog. Story
Zeus came into my life as a puppy when I needed a best friend the most. The vet thought he’d be 30-50 pounds but got much larger than expected at 80 pounds. My intention was only to foster him but I fell in love with his goofy, smart, loving personality. He began showing signs of anxiety early on, we had one dog training session to begin building confidence and socialization but my health continues to hinder my finances in order to help him. My health has made it difficult to walk him as needed, and my anxiety seems to hinder him when we are able to walk. He’s an amazing boy who needs more than I can give him.
