Story
I found these two pups on I-40 in the between Memphis and Franklin, TN (no towns nearby). We cleaned them up, took them to the Collierville vet for chip review (none), all tests and all shots/treatments have been paid. They are two of the most loving dogs, with each other and with my family (2 small kids too). The vet estimates them being 1 year old and siblings. We unfortunately have an alpha rescue dog that will not allow them to home with us and I have a major surgery in 2 weeks. The vet and I believe strongly they should stay together, as they were evidently on the run for a while and only had each other. Please message me if you can foster or adopt them! I can help financially with foster care.

Story
He loves kids, but is too big and he wants to wrestle with kids. An older child (12+) would be fine with him. Edit Sherman is extremely sweet! Even though he’s big, he&rsHe does like to“gum” us, like a baby sucking our fingers. He plays well on a walk or at the dog park. He needs obedience training. He is a giant goober and will be very rambunctious inside. He sleeps in a kennel. He is a moderate chewer. He is highly motivated by food and can’t be left alone with people food. He was found in a deserted bldg as a puppy by a dog foster mom. Then, I took him for a year. I am rehoming him because he is driving my cats crazy. He is not aggressive to them but he wants to play. He licks them with his big tongue and they are very irritated. However, he has not ever been mean to them or hurt them. He is incredibly strong and sometimes hard to walk. He loves kids, but is too big and he wants to wrestle with kids. An older child (12+) would be fine with him.

Story
Hank “Williams” #25121; male; mix breed; estimated age 2 years; approximate weight 55lbs. Hank and several others found themselves on their own when the owners abandoned them without food, water, or shelter. He is currently undergoing slow-kill heartworm treatment. He is neutered and fully vetted. Hank has lots of energy and needs a safe fenced yard where he can run it off! The shelter is a STRESSFUL place and causes a lot of over stimulation in dogs. Hank can be selective with his playmates. Applicants will be required to have a meet and greet with family members and other dogs.

Story
Oreo #26xxx; female; mixed breed. Estimated age 2 years; approximate weight 45#. Oreo was the FIFTEENTH dog dumped at this farm in 2025. This poor guy tries to rehome, keep, surrender, etc. all these dogs. We try to help when possible. This girl right here is a special one! She is very loving and sweet. Her very best buddy is a little chi-wennie (he thinks that is what he looks like) is another drop off from before. They play all day! He has taken Oreo to the vet and had her fully vetted. This includes a heartworm test (NEGATIVE), all shots, a spay, wormer, and a Pro-Heart shot. She has been in his home since November and is the perfect houseguest. We have her records from the local vet.

Story
Sam #24205 aka “Smiling Sam” is a male boxer mix that is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs approximately 60 lbs. He is neutered, up-to-date on shots and heartworm negative. This handsome boy has a ‘history’. He took himself to visit the local nursing home in July 2024. Although he meant well and they loved him, he had to vacate the premises. A very very sweet elderly lady that was there volunteering (yes, volunteering) decided to take him home and find his owner or a home. This sweet lady (89 years of age) had no fenced yard and had not had a dog in decades. She took him to the vet and had him neutered, vaccinated, and all the good stuff. She walked this big boy multiple times a day on a leash. He was housebroken and fantastic on a leash when he came in. In an overcrowded shelter we do not have the ability to provide the needed consistency to reinforce these good habits, and he has slipped a little. He is very food motivated and with a little time, I’m sure he will get right back in line. He plays with others but does have an energetic play style. He will be great with proper introductions. We do not have cats in our shelter and can’t advise on his reaction to them.
