Story
Meet Baker, a 55-pound heart-stealer with a personality as sunny as his favorite spot on the grass. At just 2 years old, Baker isn't just a dog; he's a mature soul in a young body, a gentle companion who has perfected the art of snuggling and has become an indispensable member of his foster family, which includes two loving adults, two energetic teenagers, and a sweet St. Bernard named Delilah. Baker's perfect day is simple yet filled with joy: a hearty breakfast (he's a food enthusiast, especially when it comes to meals served in enrichment toys), a playful roll on the grass soaking up the sun, a day filled with engaging toys, delicious dinners, and ending with heartwarming cuddles with his humans. His days are an ideal blend of outdoor adventures, fun tug games, and soaking in all the love and attention a dog could wish for. What sets Baker apart is his remarkable intelligence and eagerness to learn. He's aced house training, mastering it with zero accidents, and he's even learned to use the doggy door to enjoy his beloved sunbathing sessions. Baker knows that the quickest way to his heart is through a tasty treat, making new introductions a breeze, especially when there's food involved. He enjoys the company of other dogs, valuing a gentle introduction to forge lasting friendships. Baker's exemplary behavior has earned him the luxury of sleeping in the bedroom, a testament to his impeccable manners. He's a dream on the leash, exuding confidence especially when accompanied by his foster sister. Car rides? He's all in, making every trip, no matter how mundane, an adventure. But that's not all - Baker's communicative, alerting his family to passersby or the doorbell with a bark, yet always responsive to cues like "TOUCH" to gently redirect his focus. His repertoire of commands is impressive, including SIT, TOUCH, DOWN, DROP IT, STAY, and many more, showcasing his love for learning and eagerness to please. Baker dreams of a forever home where he can share his boundless love and joy. He imagines a home with a canine sibling, older children to play with, no cats, and a yard for his sunbathing and playtime. Despite the warmth and love of his foster family, Baker is ready for his next adventure, hoping to find a forever family that cherishes his affectionate nature, intelligence, and loyal companionship. If Baker sounds like the perfect addition to your family, don't hesitate. He's been waiting patiently for his chance to shine in his forever home, ready to fill your days with laughter, love, and endless cuddles. Could you be the perfect match for this well-behaved, loving, and exceptionally trained companion? Fill out an application today and open your heart to Baker – your very own ray of sunshine. ##1847449##

Story
“Addie” is a staffie mix with a sad backstory looking for her happy ending. This sweet girl is a lover of all humans, particularly kids! Because of her overly social nature she can be very forward in wanting to greet people and dogs alike on her walks (or the vet, or dog park, or anywhere) but she has not shown aggression or any intent to harm! She is highly food motivated and LOVES training (shake is her favorite!), but is also laid back and content to sun herself outside or lay at your feet for a movie night. She is very smart, so you must manage food access, as she will binge as much as you’ll allow! She does require a secure fence as she will use openings to go play with neighbor dogs if given the chance. Because of her size, we do not recommend her placed with small dogs. She can be pushy with insecure dogs, but is well socialized and enjoys the company of most, although another dog in the home is not a must for her. She does have allergies and maintaining daily medication for her is a must to avoid itching and ear infections. She kennels well and has no anxiety or separation issues, and does well in the house as long as she cannot access food! Would love her very own family! Apply via bit.ly/BellesBudsApp

Story
Gypsy is available for either in-state adoption or adoption and transport to another state. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. We would love Gypsy to have a fabulous forever home and we will consider both in-state and out-of-state applications. Her in-state adoption fee is $200. Her out-of-state adoption fee is $450 and includes the cost of ground transport. She can be transported almost anywhere within the continental United States. Gypsy is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this very good girl. Story
Hey there, I'm Remy, your future snuggle partner extraordinaire! At 4.5 years old & 40 lbs, I'm a mix of love and playfulness, and I think I might have some boxer in my DNA. My absolute favorite pastimes include cuddling up in your lap, smothering you with kisses, and having a blast with my foster sister. Oh, and I'm all about soaking up those warm sunbeams and chasing after squirrels – they're just too tempting to resist! I'm a social butterfly, getting along with dogs big and small, although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any cats yet. Now, here's the scoop: I'm still perfecting my manners and learning not to jump on people, so a home without little humans would suit me best. But hey, I'm all about spreading love. Plus, I'm a pro at both crate and house training. Ready to make me your new best friend? Let's make it official – head over to bigloverescue.org and apply to bring me home!
