Story
Red’s all-time favorite: quiet patio snuggles. Hoping this boy can find his perfect patio partner in a quiet home, own patio chair not required. Hard to image he thinks he’s a guard dog.
Redford is loving life and discovering the puppyhood he never had. Because of this, Red is extremely energetic, curious and loves attention. He will thrive with an experienced adopter who can continue his training and set boundaries. He is so happy he hasnt quite learned his off button.
Due to his background he has issues with resource guarding and should not be around kids. He will need slow introductions to new people and pets in a controlled setting.
Redford loves to run, play, and be outside. He would probably make a good running buddy. He would not do well in an apartment. Although only about 30lbs, his zoomies make him a small wrecking ball.

Another dog starved nearly to death. Adopted from the shelter and returned like this. Individual stated they couldn't afford food.
All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update.
