Story
Frankie is a lovable Boxer with a big heart and a gentle personality. He’s a very sweet dog who enjoys being close to his people and soaking up as much affection as he can. One of his favorite things in the world is getting hugs and enjoying plenty of butt scratches. Frankie has great house manners and is crate trained, but he also loves curling up in bed for snuggles whenever he gets the chance. Frankie does very well with small dogs and enjoys their company. Larger dogs aren’t really his preference, and cats are not a good fit for him. With the right environment, though, he is a wonderful and easygoing companion. He is not aggressive at all and simply wants a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and cared for. Frankie’s sweet nature and affectionate personality make him a joy to be around. He loves attention, companionship, and being part of the family. Anyone who meets him quickly notices how kind and gentle he is. Frankie thrives with love and attention.

Story
Ellie is a 7-year old brindle boxer, is spayed, crate trained, potty trained, and is micro-chipped. She loves to snuggle and has a very sweet and relaxed demeanor. Ellie can be a little shy and unsure at first, but warms up quickly.  She likes to gently paw her people on the leg while they're sitting down to get their attention for affection.  Ellie is also very good about staying off of furniture, couches, etc., except for the occasional misplaced paw for attention.   She's indifferent about water, does get distracted on a leash, and she'll usually follow a ball playing fetch but doesn't always bring it back. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. She takes inexpensive thyroid medication daily. Ellie is good with kids and will likely need to be an only pet.  Her adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to meet her here:  Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Meet Red –  A True Soul Dog and Gentleman “Some dogs come into your life, and some dogs become your life. A soul dog is never just a pet—they are a part of you that finally made it home.” As his foster, I truly believe Red is one of those soul dogs, just looking for his true person. Red has faced challenges in life, but none of this was ever his fault. His previous family struggled to care for him consistently, yet he remained loyal, kind, and always there for them. Now he’s ready for a stable, loving forever home. Red is an 8-year-old, 86-pound Boxer mix with a honey-brown coat, soulful brown eyes, a striking white blaze and chest, and four white socks. He’s a gentle giant—loyal, smart, loving, and full of heart. Red is crate and house trained, walks perfectly on leash, knows sit and shake with both paws, rides beautifully in the car, and has excellent house manners. He is fantastic with kids, other dogs, and cats, he loves snuggles, Netflix marathons, calm walks when the weather is nice, and relaxing indoors on a cozy bed. Red is a true companion who simply loves being near you. Red deserves a home where he will be cherished as a full indoor family member, treated with love, patience, and stability. He is ready to give his whole heart to the family lucky enough to adopt him. About Red: 8 years old Boxer mix Neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines  Heartworm negative House & crate trained Kid-friendly Dog and Cat-friendly Great on leash Loves fetch, car rides, and cuddles Red's adoption fee is $200, covering his neuter, vaccinations, dewormer, first dose of heartworm prevention, and microchip. Story
Wren is a happy-go-lucky boxer. Loving pretty much everything and everyone this sweet girl loves cacoons and dens, hanging out with her buddies (people and dogs), and eating snacks (who doesn't?). She is constant need of attention, but much like the boxer she is, she is very independant.  Wren was in a home, the owner was no longer capable of giving Wren the love and attention she needed. When she arrived here she sprinted around the yard, so excited to run around. She goes out with one buddy at the moment but we expect she does well with most dogs. Previous owner said she does well with dogs, cats, and children. We have not seen her around cats, but we know she does well with little kids.  She is house trained, does well on leash, and is attentive to people. She would do well in homes where she can get attention and plenty of time to be mentally stimulated or room to run!   ##1666551##
