Meet Ms Mable the ultimate side kick. Beside you is where she wants to be. Take a step, she'll take a step. Walk anywhere and when you stop she sits down right beside you. Go for a car ride - she's all for it. She loves her chairs and will share yours or sit in her own. She gives the sweetest kisses and the biggest saddest puppy dog eyes ever! Mable was found on a country road. Because she loves to be with a person I can't imagine she ran away. Mable was introduced to the rescue/sanctuary dogs (10 others) and overall did well. The old timers here are not the nicest all the time - that's why they were never adoptable. She did ok until the alpha female challenged her. Everyone was ok just no females to keep it safe. Normally she lowers her head and walks away. She does best with large easy going males or tiny male dogs. She treats the 6lb male chi like her baby. She loves all humans, unsure about cats. Please consider giving her a wonderful home she deserves. I am honest as the day is long about what I know about her. I love this girl and she needs a chance at happiness. He would do best in a home with an older dog that is as relaxed as him. He does pick the dogs he is most comfortable around and he definitely wouldn't enjoy an energetic puppy. If you are interested in meeting Sherman, the first step is to go to our website www.adoggie4you.org and complete an application for him.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4.5-year-old beauty. She is a Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier that weighs about 60 pounds. She is a beautiful grey and tan coat that is shiny and she is not too big of a shedding dog. She is loyal and does get along with dogs. Her preference is smaller male dogs or smaller submissive females. She was adopted as a puppy and returned at 4 years old because she didn’t get along with the other female dog in the home. She loves people and loves kids. She is potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She is very affectionate and slept with her family in the bed at night. She was really nice to all the people she met today at the rescue. She loved cuddles and being petted. We could adopt her locally with other dogs and we can test the dogs out. If she goes outside the state of Texas she would make a great only dog. She would be a great companion dog for someone wanting an outdoor companion on your activities and a dog willing to cuddle when you want to chill and read a book. She is the best of both worlds. She is house trained and goes potty outside. They have worked with trainers so she is skilled as far as training goes and was following direction nicely at the Rescue. She could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. She if fully vetted, healthy and ready for her forever home. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. I am Rubble. I was found on the highway and I'm the only survivor in my family of distemper. I do have twitches from the distemper but I am otherwise healthy and a typical puppy. I will require an active family in an owned home with a securely fenced yard ideally with someone who has Boxer/Retriever mix experience. I would do well with a family with another dog and children.
