Story
Tybee is a 2-3 year old, 80+ pound, very tall black Boxer. Current on vaccines, neutered, house and crate trained. He is ok with female dogs, but I wouldn't put him with a male dog that is large and would do very slow introductions. He is well housetrained and never messes in his crate. He is well crate trained and goes in without a problem. He does walk well on the leash, but can pull a bit if he wants to get to something. He does know his basic commands of sit, stay and down. He is highly treat motivated and is trained to sit at street crossings. He also does try to sit along the walk to see if he can coax an extra treat or two! As for children, he is great with them, but due to his size, I would recommend older children. Tybee is still working on his mouthing, where he chews on hands and has to be reminded not to do this. We work to not get him overexcited as he can be overstimulated and then mouths a lot and becomes very pushy. He is a sweet, curious boy that wants to be loved. He does need to be monitored when out walking, as he is like a toddler where everything goes in the mouth (frogs, centipedes, worms, acorns, bugs, etc.). He loves to run and jog, and would do great with an active family that would love to get his energy out. He has the entire staff at his Veterinary Office madly in love with him, and his great personality. He does well with both men and woman. He also rides very well in the car in his crate. He has also done well living with rabbits, chincillas, sugar gliders, rats and guinea pigs without even bothering one of them. If interested in adopting Tybee please fill out an adoption application at operationsaveashelterdog.org. Adoption fee $250.

Story
We have had Daisy for 5 years, adopted from our local animal shelter as a pup. She is a very loving and loyal companion who loves those she knows. She is timid towards new people until they warm up to her. Looking for an experienced adopter that will be patient with her. An owner with no other pets would be the best home for her.

Story
Looking for a handsome guy to add to your family? Look no further than Korn Kob! This stunning boy was picked up running loose and unfortunately no one ever came looking for him. This young boxer mix enjoys playing and running around in the yard. He doesn't seem to mind the girls and already knows how to sit. He loves to go on walks with the volunteers and has been good with the dogs he's met (meet and greet required). If you are interested in meeting Korn Kob, don't hesitate to give Hopewell Animal Services a call at 804-541-2204. They'd be more than happy to schedule a meet and greet for you and this handsome boy. Don't miss out on the chance to adopt and give him the loving forever home he deserves! #adopt #adoptdontshop #adoptme #rescueme #handsome

Story
We call Desperado, King Desperado for a good reason. He fiercely protects and defends his foster dad and his domain there in the foster home.  You see Desperado lost his owner to bad times and bad things that his owner decided to do.  5 months ago his owner ended up behind bars and so did King Desperado and his brother end up behind the bars in a small town rural shelter. His brother fell ill in the shelter and passed away.  Miraculously Desperado was spared and there he stayed and languished with no one visiting the shelter to adopt many of the dogs there.  Just at Christmas the shelter was cleaning house.  Taking all the dogs that had been there for a while and putting them on the euthanize list.  Desperado was on the list but Critter Cavalry Rescue had fosters who stepped up to take him out of the shelter and literally save his life.  Desperado is a work in progress but here are some fun facts about him that foster Joshua says you really need to know about this great 2 year old boy dog that weighs 65 pounds. 1: He will kennel with no complaints when you need to leave the house or go to bed, tho he much prefers to occupy the same space as you in bed as opposed to being kenneled. 2: He does not know what personal space is, his favorite thing in the world is giving kisses and snuggling his people. 3: He has med/high energy, but is also very much a couch potato. 4: He plays like a boxer and walks like a hound. We are working on leash etiquette. 5: He is dog reactive on leash, but we have not tested him with other dogs free in the yard. 6: We are working with a trainer to try and curb this reactivity, as well as some basic obedience. 7: A 4 ft fence will keep him contained, and is highly recommended. He will bolt if he gets on an interesting scent. 8: He has liked every human he has met both big and small, tho he may be a bit excitable near little kids, I'd say 8+ is good to go. 9: 100% house broken, and easily learned the bathroom routine in my house. 10: He is EXTREMELY food motivated. 11: He is a bit jumpy but is gentle about it.  It probably comes from spending 5 months in a shelter and not having his confidence built up in his life.  All this can and will change. His foster dad knows that Desperado is going to be an amazing dog with just a little more work and stability in his life.  He only got out of the shelter just before Christmas and boy was that a gift to him!  His foster dad has him in training for the leash reactions which many dogs have.  He adores people…he loves life and you will love Desperado and his devotion to YOU and your family!  We request that you have a fenced yard if you adopt.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  mention where you live please…city and state. We transport all over!!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 10, 2023, 12:25 am

Story
Meet Arlo, an adorable pitbull mix with a goofy face and an infectious zest for life. Arlo is a true bundle of energy and enthusiasm, always ready for the next adventure. With his high toy drive and insatiable hunger for enrichment, he will keep you on your toes and add a whole lot of fun to your life.Arlo is an active and intelligent dog who thrives on mental and physical stimulation. He is always up for a challenge and loves engaging in interactive play. If you're looking for a partner to accompany you on hikes, long walks, or any outdoor activity, Arlo is your ideal companion. While Arlo is an amazing dog with plenty of endearing qualities, he has specific preferences when it comes to his living situation. Due to his resource-guarding tendencies, it is recommended that Arlo be placed in a home without small children. This will allow him to feel secure and prevent any potential conflicts over valuable possessions.Arlo's journey to Heritage Humane Society began as a stray, and he is now eager to find a loving forever home. With a bit of training and consistent positive reinforcement, Arlo is working hard to be a well-behaved companion. He is currently learning to walk politely on a leash and is making great strides in becoming a good boy. He will thrive in a home where he receives regular mental and physical exercise, along with plenty of love and guidance. Arlo's interactions with other dogs and cats are currently unknown, so introductions should be approached with caution and proper guidance.Arlo's zest for life and his infectious happiness will bring joy and laughter to any household. If you're seeking an energetic and loyal companion who will accompany you on countless adventures, Arlo is waiting to meet you. Prepare yourself for long walks, engaging play sessions, and the unwavering devotion of a dog who will always keep you entertained and loved.
