Story
Rex is a lovable, high-energy boxer looking for his forever family! He was born 2-13-2022. This handsome boy is full of personality—playful, affectionate, and always ready for an adventure. Like a true boxer, he’s goofy, loving, and always eager to be by your side. Rex gets along great with kids and other dogs, but because he jumps when excited, we recommend a home with children 5 and up. His ideal family should have experience with the boxer breed and understand their energetic nature. A fenced yard and an active household would be perfect for this bouncy boy! If Rex is the only dog in the home, he’ll need plenty of physical and mental stimulation to keep him happy and engaged. He thrives on playtime, training, and interactive activities that challenge both his body and mind. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who will keep you laughing and moving, Rex is your guy! His ideal home would be one with a securely fenced yard, and if there are kids in the home, over the age of 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Meet lovely Saiga! Born approximately July 26, 2021 she came to us via Tri City Animal Control. We initially treated her for parvo while in the care of animal control-she was lined up to go to a rescue in western WA when her former owners came forward and took her back into their care. Fast forward a bit and she landed back at animal control, we couldn’t let her remain in the shelter and so here she is! Saiga is amazing with people-she has the best kisses and loves human affection. Saiga's only weakness is that she's not good with other animals so will need to be in an only dog home. Even after training she is not safe around other animals so it's very important that she's adopted as an only pet. She will require a secure 6 foot fence - no chain link and no exceptions. Saiga has a lot of love to give and will make a great companion. Her best fit home will be an adult only one. Applications to foster or adopt Saiga can be submitted at www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Daisy is a soft, sweet, and quietly charming young pup with a gentle spirit and so much love to give. She has a dainty presence and an affectionate nature that makes people fall for her quickly. Daisy is the kind of dog who will blossom beautifully in the right home—one that offers guidance, companionship, and a little encouragement as she grows into herself. 💛 HISTORY Daisy’s DOB is listed as 01/17/2026. She was originally adopted from a local shelter by a young couple, but less than a week later, an unexpected emergency required them to travel, and they made the difficult decision to surrender her to us. Daisy is now safe in foster care in Tri-Cities, Eastern Washington, where she’s getting the stability she deserves. We share our dogs in other locations to give them the best chance at finding the right home. Daisy is absolutely worth the trip, and we encourage meet-and-greets for approved adopters. She is listed as a pitbull/lab mix, though she presents more like a lab/collie blend in both looks and demeanor, but as always, breed is our best guess. SOCIALIZATION, TEMPERAMENT AND TRAINING Daisy is a gentle, easygoing puppy who is taking in the world with a soft curiosity. She can be a little on the sensitive side, but in the best way—she’s thoughtful, observant, and bonds deeply with her people. She is dog, cat, and kid friendly, and would truly thrive in a home with another confident, well-adjusted dog who can help show her the ropes and build her confidence. She looks to other dogs for cues and enjoys their companionship. Daisy would do best in an active home that will continue to expose her to new experiences in a positive, supportive way. Walks, playtime, and light training will all help her continue to come out of her shell and grow into a confident adult. She is currently working on both crate training and potty training, and is making great progress with consistency and routine. Like any puppy, she will need continued guidance to fully solidify these skills in her new home. Daisy is still very young and would greatly benefit from puppy classes. These will help her build confidence, learn basic manners, and strengthen her bond with her new family in a structured environment. It’s important to remember: Daisy is a puppy, and PUPPIES ARE HARD WORK! She is still learning how to navigate the world and will need patience, structure, and understanding as she grows. She may have accidents, get into things she shouldn’t, or need reassurance in new situations—that’s all part of puppyhood. Please do not apply to adopt Daisy unless you are ready to invest the time and care it takes to help her become a confident, well-adjusted adult dog. HEALTH STATUS General info Daisy is spayed, up to date on her puppy vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. She appears to be a healthy young puppy and is continuing to grow. ADOPTION The adoption fee for Daisy is $425. Our process starts with an online application and may take a few days to a week to complete. We appreciate your patience while we do our part. To apply to adopt Daisy, please complete our online adoption application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAWA-A-117 or email HearthfireART@gmail.com to request an adoption application form. HART dogs live in foster homes, not in a kennel facility. To respect our fosters’ privacy, we make our dogs available to meet adopters only after an adoption has been approved.
