Meet Darcy Lynn, a one and a half year old Hound/Boxer mix weighing 48 pounds.Darcy Lynn is a sweet girl who has had a lot of change happen all at once. She came into our care after her owner was arrested, and sadly, no one has come forward to take her home. We can only imagine how confusing and frightening that must be for her, especially while she’s missing the person she knew and loved.Darcy is very scared right now and needs a slow, gentle approach. She’s not the kind of dog who will immediately run up and greet you—she needs time to feel safe, build trust, and understand that she’s okay. With patience, consistency, and plenty of TLC, we’re hopeful she’ll begin to come out of her shell.For now, Darcy would do best in a calm home without young children. She is also a flight risk, so her adopters will need to be especially careful with doors, gates, and transitions. Darcy should not be allowed outside without being securely leashed right now.Darcy didn’t ask for any of these changes, and she deserves the chance to decompress and heal from everything she’s been through. She’s looking for someone who will give her the time she needs and never give up on her.If you have a quiet home, a patient heart, and lots of TLC to give, Darcy Lynn may be the girl who needs you most.
