Story
Baker is a four-year-old Brittany who loves life, his people, other dogs and is affectionate, eager to please, loves to give puppy kisses, and is intelligent.  He enjoys learning new things.   Baker loves his walks but is just as happy to be hanging out on the couch.  He loves playing with dogs and laying outside listening to the birds, hunting in the garden, and enjoying nature. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him.   Baker will do best in a home with active adults who know the Brittany breed and either work from home or are retired.  He does get anxious when his people are not around.  He would also do best in a home with another non-dominant dog to play with.  Baker has a high prey drive and will not be placed in a home with cats, chickens, or rabbits. Baker has a brachial plexus injury which damaged the nerves that control his left front foreleg.  He is able to put weight on his leg for walking and walks with a limp. He runs just fine on 3 legs as he can't put weight on the leg when he runs.  Baker takes oral medication for this injury.  His foster mom also does massage and certain daily exercises on the injured leg to keep it functioning optimally.  Any adopter should expect to continue with this conditioning. Baker needs a home with a yard with a secure 6-foot tall fence.  Baker doesn't know that his left front foreleg doesn't work correctly, therefore it doesn't affect his jumping or running.  He can jump 4' high and runs faster than the other dogs he plays with.  Baker is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm neg, and microchipped. He enjoys his time with the groomer and having his toenails done. Baker knows basic commands: sit, stay, lay down, and floor.  If his foster mom is sitting and Baker puts a foot on her, she tells him floor and he puts his paw back on the floor.  His foster mom is working on heel as he pulls when walking on the leash. His adoption fee is $400.   If you are interested in making Baker a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Baker is eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from WA with the last leg (100 miles) being driver by the adopter.June 9, 2023, 1:42 pm

Story
Is your life feeling a little boring or quiet? Then maybe I'm the guy to help spice it up! My foster mum says she sometimes wonders where I get all my energy from and thinks maybe I'm sneaking some rocket fuel into my diet. My name is Bronson and even though I am almost five years old, I am more like a 2 year old. I love to run, play and be on the go. I do also love to cuddle, I'm told I need to learn something about personal space but I think being as close as possible and making sure the person I'm cuddling with knows I have to be the center of attention. My life before was pretty boring so I would make up my own game of chasing live stock, that got me into trouble so I had to find a new home. I love to run around with the other dogs in my foster mom's home as well as chase any squirrels I see in the trees. I'm described as the kinda dog who just loves life and wants to be involved with everyone and everything. I also love to tell everyone about everything, I'm told I'm quite the chatter box and have much to say! For my new home I am looking for a home where I can run around a yard with a 6ft fence and with a family that are very active. I would be a great hiking buddy, running buddy and I could even try some fun sports like agility. I am very good in the house, I don't potty inside or destroy anything,  But if I'm bored I like to entertain myself by taking random items and then showing you that I have it. My foster mum says I'm not a very good thief because I come show and bring things I find. I can live with another dog but it's recommend the other dog either be very playful or is able to moderate as sometimes I can be a little much when I play. I am good at taking corrections from the other dogs when I am told but sometimes I get a little carried away and don't always know unless the other dog tells me. If you are interested in making Bronson a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org.  His adoption fee is $400 and he is eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from Colorado with the last leg (100 miles) being driven by the adopter.   Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.June 9, 2023, 1:42 pm

Story
This handsome guy is Fergus. He’s a super friendly, 47 lb., 5-1/2 year-old male Brittany who loves to snuggle.  Laying on the couch is his favorite part of the day and nothing is better than when you sit next to him so he can lay his head in your lap.  Fergus is good with other dogs and loves people of all ages.  He likes to play with his canine friends and would be best in a home with another dog to play with.  Fergus also loves older respectful children.  He's very gentle with them and sweet.  He has not been around cats. Fergus needs a home with a good-sized yard that is securely fenced (6 feet in height).  He needs room to run and play daily in a safe environment and he needs an owner who understands that he needs daily exercise.  Fergus’s foster parents are working with him on his leash manners and any new owner will be expected to continue that work.  Fergus is house-trained and doing really well on crate training.  He is very food motivated and VERY eager to please!  He has a cute trick where he stands straight up to get a treat!  He can hold it a long time!  Fergus really just wants a home with lots of love and a soft touch. He can be sensitive and becomes submissive very quickly. A harsh word would shut this sweet boy down. He needs someone to show him lots of love and let him know that he is in a safe, forever home.  His one desire is to love you back and make you happy. Fergus is a joy to have around. Fergus is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Fergus’s adoption fee is $350.00.  If you are interested in making Fergus a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   All our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Fergus is eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from SLC with the last leg 100 miles) being driven by the adopter.  June 9, 2023, 1:42 pm

Story
Reah is a very sweet, maternal, almost 3-year-old, just waiting for her furever home.  Reah has lived her entire life with her parents and two siblings so she will do best in a home with another sweet dog to play with.  While Reah is close to her mom, Juliet - and would love to be adopted with her - she is not good with other female dogs.  Reah is her foster dad’s favorite and he has been working with her training and manners.  Any adopter will be expected to continue with this training.  As with any Brittany, Reah will need daily exercise and play-time with her new family.  Because she is naturally affectionate, Reah needs a home where she will receive lots of attention.  She also needs a home with a reasonable-sized yard with a secure 6-foot physical fence.   Reah is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  She  will do fine in a home without kids, or in a home with older, responsible kids.  She will not be adopted to a home with cats.  Reah’s adoption fee is $400.00.  If you are interested in making Reah a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Juliet is an adorable, affectionate, 4 year-old who has spent her whole life with her biological family.  She is currently hanging out with Peter, the dad, and their three kids - Damian, Francis, and Reah.  She loves to play and run with them.  Because she is used to being with her family, she would do best if she were adopted into a home with another dog to play with.  She either needs a member of her actual family or a male dog.  Juliet could also be adopted with her daughter Reah but otherwise does not do well with other female dogs.   Juliet will need continued training and working on her manners.  She will need daily exercise with her new family as well as lots of love, confidence-building, and attention.  She needs a home with a reasonable-sized yard with a secure 6-foot physical fence.   Juliet is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  She  will do fine in a home without kids, or in a home with older, responsible kids.  She will not be adopted to a home with cats.  Juliet’s adoption fee is $400.00.  If you are interested in making Juliet a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
