Story
Winter (Winnie) is a sweet and loving 10-month-old brit mix (mom is an O&W purebred brit, dad is a black and white border collie/cattle dog mix).  Winter is well-adjusted and socialized.  She loves vigorous walks, water, stuffies, and chasing the ball. She loves all people and is good with respectful and dog-savvy children. Winter is house and crate trained.  She is extremely smart and has rapidly progressed in her training.  She responds well to hand signals for sitting and eating, she waits to be told to eat, is trained to lie down on her mat when her human family is eating, and she is working on recall.  Winter needs a home with a good-sized yard that is enclosed by a 6-foot physical fence so she can run zoomies and watch birds and squirrels.   Importantly, Winter needs an owner who is active, patient, and has the time and desire to provide her with consistent daily exercise and loving attention and plans to continue her obedience/social skills training through positive reinforcement and consistency.  Preference will also be given to a home where someone either works from home or is home most of the time.  Winter would also love to live in a home with another resident canine companion who is friendly, wants to play and is not domineering. The adoption fee for Winter is $350.  She is spayed, current on her vaccinations and microchipped.  If you are interested in making Winter a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process and will be conducted by your local state coordinator.  For further information after you have completed the application (and if you are in transport distance)  you may contact the NV coordinators at doglover95966@yahoo.com or wanbran@comcast.net.  Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Winter can be adopted up to 1400 miles from her present home (Reno NV) to eligible adopters with the adopter driving the last 100 miles. .October 18, 2026, 9:40 am

Story
Ripley is an adorable 4.5-year-old Brittany who is very sweet and loves, loves people.  Ripley is moderately energetic, loves to play fetch, run zoomies and go on long walks.  Once he’s had his exercise, Ripley is happy to lie next to you on the couch to watch a game or movie.  He is very smart and extremely food motivated so training is made easier. Ripley will need a home with a good-sized yard that is enclosed by a 6-foot physical fence so he can run zoomies and watch birds and squirrels.  Ripley will need an owner who is active, patient and dog savvy who can give him lots of attention and understands the exercise needs of a brit.  Ripley is currently in an obedience class and knows stay, come, and walks nicely on a leash.   The ideal adopter/s would have the time and desire to work with Ripley on continuing his obedience and social skills through positive reinforcement and consistent training.  Ripley would do best in a home as an only dog.  While he is fine with other dogs if there is a good introduction first, he thrives on having all the attention.  Ripley is very self-sufficient and can be left alone in his home comfortably, but he would love to have someone who works from home or is home most of the time.     The adoption fee for Ripley is $400.  Ripley is neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped.  If you are interested in making Ripley a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give him, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.  For more information after completing an application, call Patti at 801.841.4053. Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Ripley can be adopted up to 1400 miles from his foster home to eligible adopters.  October 18, 2026, 9:40 am

Story
Hi! My name is Remi and I am a pocket sized (33 lb) orange and white...almost red...roan Brittany and I'm looking for my forever family. Check out my photos! People always tell me I'm SO handsome. I am 4 years old, neutered, up to date on my vaccines, HW negative (just went through HW treatment), microchipped, and I'm fit as a fiddle. Now that the boring stuff has been covered, let me tell you the good stuff about me . I really like to go for walks. Foster mum says I'm pretty good on a leash. Sometimes I will bark or growl at other dogs when on a walk, but I do go to daycare and get along with everyone there. It's a leash thing. I am very good at basic commands and will sit when asked and will wait for you to take off my leash or feed me etc. I am a sensitive little boy and I am looking for a quiet home and someone who likes to snuggle. I will happily curl up on the couch or your bed with you. I do get nervous around smaller kids and don't like loud/sudden noises, so an adult only home or home with older, considerate kids (older teens) would be best. I think I'd be great with an active senior or retired couple who are home a lot so they can hang with me! I don't need another dog in the house and would be okay as your only dog. I may be nervous at first, but with your patience and some snuggles, I'm sure we will be the best of friends. So, if you think you're my new person, please fill out an application on-line at https://nbran.org/adopt/adoptionapplication.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process and will be done by your local provincial/state coordinator. This must be completed before you speak to Remi's foster mum. Remi is located in London, Ontario (115 kms/72 miles) from Port Huron, MI but transportation can be arranged up to 2200 kms (1400 miles) with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 160 kms (100 miles). Story
Nico is a 2-year-old rescue we brought home from a breeder in Mexico. He is truly a gentle giant with lots of energy and a big love for rough play and fun. Nico thrives on activity and enjoys being engaged. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Nico is mostly potty trained, though he is still a work in progress and would benefit from continued consistency. When rescued, we didn’t know his breed or just how big he would grow. Over the past two years, we have done everything we can to give him a loving and fulfilling life while living in apartments.Due to another relocation, we are no longer able to provide the space and environment he truly deserves. This decision breaks our hearts, but our priority is finding whats best for Nico. We are looking for a loving home with a yard where Nico can run, play, and burn off his energy. He would do best with a family or individual who understands large, active dogs and can continue giving him the love, structure and room to grow.

Story
Hello future best friend! My name is Kung Pao (yep, just like the dish—spicy, memorable, and a little bit different!). I’m searching for my forever home, and I think you might be the perfect match! Let me tell you a little bit about my pawsome self. I was picked up as a stray in Gila County back in December, but don’t worry—I’ve bounced back and I’m ready for a new chapter. While I was at animal control, all the staff fell head-over-heels in love with me (not to brag, but I was basically the office favorite). I even went to stay with a family for a while, but I turned out to be a little too big for their tiny toddlers. Oops! If you’re hoping for a companion who’s not bouncing off the walls 24/7, I’m your guy—I’m not one of those high-octane pups who need endless exercise. I’m perfectly content with a few fun romps and some quality playtime, then I’m all about chilling out by your side. I definitely have my playful spurts, but you won’t catch me demanding a marathon every day! Now, I’m looking for a home with someone who appreciates my unique style and silly antics. I’m a very unusual mix—think husky (that’s where I get my dazzling blue eyes!), a splash of brittany spaniel (just look at my soft white-and-tan coat and fancy plume tail!), and maybe a bit of bully breed for my big blocky head and sturdy build. At about 1 ½ years old, I’m just the right age to bring adventure and fun to your life without any of that puppy nonsense. Here are some of my best features: Super sweet personality: I’m friendly, affectionate, and love to make new pals! Staff favorite: Seriously, everyone at Gila County animal control gave me five-paw reviews! Great with other dogs: I love to romp and play with canine buddies. Knows basic commands: Sit, stay, and “look adorable” are all in my repertoire. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped: I’m healthy and ready to roll—no surprises here! A few mysteries about me: No one knows where my name came from, but I can totally learn a new one if you pick something you like better! I haven’t met any cats yet, so the jury’s out on that. Maybe we’ll discover together? If you’re looking for a furry friend with a big heart, soulful eyes, and the fluffiest tail around, I just know we’ll make a great team. Want to meet me and see if we’re a match? Send an email to mike@caaronline.org and set up a playdate—we can’t wait to meet you! Wags and wiggles, Kung Pao   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis.
