Story
Sweet little Cranberry is thought to be abound 12 yrs old and weighs about 7-8lbs. She came to us with many mammary tumors which have been removed. The ones that were biopsied were benign, however her new family will need to keep watch on any new ones that might form so they can be addressed. Her ideal home would be one with someone home alot, someone who loves snuggling on the furniture and kids over 12 due to her age/size. A yard and another friendly doggie companion to pal around with would also be super! Here is what her fostermom has to say about this special girl: Cranberry may be shy and a little scared at first, but once she trusts you, she becomes your most loyal little companion. She bonds deeply with her person and loves to stay close, whether that means following you from room to room or curling up beside you for a snuggle. Despite her medical journey, Cranberry remains incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happy. She’s a true foodie and is always excited for treats and mealtime. Cranberry is crate trained, house trained, and gets along well with small dogs. She’s very in tune with her environment and tends to take the vibe of the room, looking to her owner for guidance and reassurance. Cranberry would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who’s ready to offer patience, consistency, and lots of love in return for the most devoted companion. If you’re looking for a gentle soul who will choose you as her person, Cranberry might be your girl. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Maple is a 2.5-year-old French Brittany who packs a whole lot of charm into her perfect 25-pound frame. Her foster family lovingly calls her “Meatball,” and honestly…it fits. She’s adorable, goofy, snuggly, and absolutely devoted to her people. Maple LOVES car rides, plush toys, and curling up next to you for belly rubs. She didn’t get much freedom or enrichment in her early life and likely spent most of her time in a kennel, so she came to us needing a refresher on potty training and some basic house habits. She’s made steady progress but still needs a patient family willing to keep her routine consistent. She can be a bit curious and may check out items that aren’t technically “hers,” so keeping tempting things out of reach and offering plenty of dog-safe toys will set her up for success. Maple does well in her kennel when her people are out of the house. She may give a little protest bark at first (she just has to make sure you know she has notes), but she settles down and rests quietly once she realizes she’s safe. Maple is not a dog that can live with or closely interact with other dogs. Through training, she has made progress in calmly seeing dogs at a distance with positive reinforcement, but pushing those interactions too quickly can cause anxiety for her. For her comfort and safety, she must be an only dog, and a fenced-in yard (ideally privacy fenced) would suit her best so she can explore and enjoy the outdoors stress-free. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Maple has mastered “sit", and is working on more tricks, but needs a little patience since she isn’t very food motivated. Maple is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Now she’s just waiting for a family who sees how special she is and can give her the structure, love, and dog-free home she deserves. Maple is currently in foster care in Wisconsin and has an adoption donation fee of $400.  If you are interested in adopting her and have been approved to adopt, let your state coordinator know you are interested in her.  If you haven’t yet done so, please go to: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application to fill out an application.  Your state coordinator will contact you and take you through the approval process.  If your application looks like a possible fit for her, your coordinator will contact Maple’s coordinator and continue the screening process. Maple’s state coordinator is Hallie Barbara. She can be reached at Minnesotabrittany@gmail.com for questions or inquires.   Thank you for considering this sweet girl.  December 15, 2025, 9:27 am

Story
Meet Penny!  She is a very-well bred, very small, French Brittany who is a year and a half old.  This little girl will need a very active owner who understands, appreciates, and has experience with the Brittany breed.  Anyone interested in Penny will also need to have the time to spend with her to make sure her exercise and training needs are met.  Penny becomes neurotic quickly if she does not get immense amounts of exercise and stimulation.  Being locked in a kennel or crate for hours a day is simply not an option.  Penny is a very good girl when she gets miles of exercise per day without exception.   Penny is also a dominant female.  This means that she would not be a candidate for an owner with small children.   She is born to hunt.  No amount of training will change this basic drive.  She does get along with her fosters' other dogs but she can get too physical with dogs who are submissive so this is also something to consider for potential adopters. Penny has an incredible bond to her humans.  She loves to climb in laps and be held and petted and craves attention.  She walks well on a lead and is learning obedience commands quickly.  Smart?  Wow!  Penny is very smart!! Penny is almost potty-trained.   This girl wants to please but she also wants to run free.  For this reason, adopters will need a home with a large yard that is surrounded by a very secure, 6 foot privacy fence. Penny is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $400.00.  If you are interested in making Penny a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  If interested, contact Patti at 801.641.4053 after completing an application.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process. Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.   February 14, 2026, 6:28 pm

Story
Jilly is an energetic, 2.5 year-old, sweet little 35 lbs girl. She is very cuddly and loves being on the couch or just laying down in the same room with you.  She loves having a variety of soft toys to play with and bones to chew on.  She is very friendly towards new people and dogs and would love having a companion pup in her new home to play with. Because she’s a brit, Jilly’s energy can be very high.  When she’s  excited, Jilly jumps up and use her paws to try to play with you.  After exercise, she settles down nicely and sleeps for much of the day.  Jilly will need a home where her exercise needs are met with daily exercise and walks or runs.  She will also need a home with a yard that is secured by a 6-foot fence so she can run zoomies and, hopefully, play with furry sibling.  Jilly is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $400.00.  If you are interested in making Jilly a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  If interested, contact Patti at 801.641.4053 after completing an application.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.
