Please contact Sue (sueblackman@msn.com) for more information about this pet.Honey wants to add a little sweetness to your life! She is a beautiful 10 yr old spayed female purebred Brittany. She is sweet and loves to be with people.  Honey was surrendered to NBRAN because her owners had little humans enter their lives. Even though the little humans did not live there, the owners felt like their grands made Honey nervous and anxious when they visited. Never did Honey snap or bite the grandchildren, she just vocally let everyone know they were not her cup of tea. Honey is fully housetrained, does not prefer a crate and is trustworthy left alone unattended in the house. Although she is not extremely cautious with new acquaintances, she takes a while to warm up to people. When Honey was surrendered, she had a growth on her hind leg quarter. After meeting with the vet, it was decided that it would be best to remove the growth, even though it did not appear to be anything too serious. Once removed, the pathology confirmed it was 100% benign. Because Honey is an extremely active 10-year-old, the toughest part of recovery for her was having to “take it easy” for a few weeks. She has had her stitches removed and she is incredibly happy about being able to run and explore. Honey will tolerate other dogs, but she prefers humans, just not little humans. Because she is so spry, Honey would love a furever home with a fenced back yard where she can have plenty of room to chase birds and get lots of exercise.  At 55 lbs, Honey could stand to lose a few pounds, but the vet has given this beautiful girl a clean bill of health. Honey will walk on a leash in true Brittany style, becoming easily distracted by critters on the ground and in the air. Below is Honey’s wishlist for her furever home: Fenced backyard No extended time left alone Kind humans ( older children only) Warm hugs and lots of love Only dog (will tolerate one other dog reluctantly) A house with NO feline siblings Honey's adoption fee is $250.  She is currently being fostered in West Tennessee but can be transported up to 1400 miles to an approved adopter. (with the adopter being responsible for the last up to 100 miles). Hello, This is a very difficult decision for our family, and not one we take lightly. We recently welcomed our 4th child into the world, and with the demands of a newborn and a full household, we’ve come to the realization that we can no longer give our dog the time, structure, and attention she truly deserves. She is a loving, sweet dog who thrives on attention and activity. She does very well with children and gets along great with other dogs. She has a good heart and wants to be part of the family. That said, she does have some anxiety and needs a consistent routine. She will do best in a home where she can be exercised regularly (at least twice a day) and where someone has the time to work with her and give her the attention she needs. She is not a good fit for a home with xxxx@xxxx.x adopted her in Arizona when she was about 6 months old, and she has been a part of our family since. This is not about giving up on her—it’s about finding her a home where she can truly thrive.

Millie is an extremely loving and affectionate 30-lb, two-year-old, French Brittany who loves snuggles and playing with her toys. She is very attentive and eager to please; with a bit more training she will be an excellent family dog. She is kennel trained and sleeps through the night. Millie has good manners when left unsupervised in the house. She loves to play and matches the energy of the other dogs around her when wrestling or playing chase. She would do great with other dogs in the home, but would also love to be the apple of your eye having your undivided attention. She has also done well around dog-savvy, older children. Millie runs or hikes daily with her foster dad and will need a home where she can stay equally active. She also needs a home with a spacious yard, secured by a 6 foot fence, where she can run zoomies and go on squirrel patrol.    Millie was born with some slight orthopedic issues – she has a minor left luxating patella and mild hip dysplasia.  She received a thorough work up by an orthopedic surgeon and at this point in time, surgery is not required and may never be.  Millie may have some arthritis and reduced mobility in her senior years due to these conditions and she may not. Overall, Millie is an absolute sweetheart who melts the hearts of everyone she meets. If you’re looking for a young girl who will love you to the moon and back, look no further than this. The adoption fee for Millie is $400.  Millie is spayed, current on her vaccinations and microchipped. Hello Brittany lovers… Charlie here and I'm looking for my furever home!  I am an energetic, very sweet 4-year-old who loves running outside as well as snuggling on the couch with my family.   At 50 pounds (down from 61lbs), I'm a big , strong love of a dog! For the first 3 ½ years of my life I was the constant companion to a single owner. When my dad unexpectedly died, I found myself in the shelter in Northern Utah. Luckily for me - the shelter reached out to NBRAN, and I landed in a loving foster home. I have easily settled in with my foster family, getting along very well with the 4 resident springers and adjusting to a more structured lifestyle. I'm very friendly, and love my school-aged, well-mannered foster grandkids as well as all visitors. I have no issues with resource guarding my food or toys, and I know how to use a dog door. I really don't like being in a kennel at all, but I can be left alone in the house for several hours without causing any damage (although I would prefer to go with you!). At night I sleep on a dog bed in my foster parents’ bedroom with one of my foster brothers beside me, but I would love to sleep on the bed with you. I was cat tested at the shelter and did well.  Although I have had no formal training, my foster Mom says that I am an exceptionally quick learner. True to my breed, I love to run and have a high prey drive. Also true to my breed, I love being with my people and am very friendly and loving.  I walk well on leash - unless I see and bird - then I pull hard! I do well playing with my foster siblings in a fenced area.  I will need a home with a good-sized yard that is securely fenced (6 feet height) because if left to my own devices, I will attempt to go on escapades by myself.    Car rides are the best thing since sliced bread - and I love going uptown with my foster Dad! Speaking of sliced bread - don't leave any on the counter! Although I get along well with the resident dogs, I would also do well as an only dog. I love, love, love attention! The adoption fee for Charlie is $400.  Charlie is neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped. These beautiful girls were rescued as strays. They are in the care of my neighbor where they have full and exclusive access a sizable yard and are content to play with each other and their toys. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

04/28/26Want the energy to get through the day? Meet Alani!Alani is a young girl that came to our shelter in early April. When she first came in, she was super scared and shut down. But now she is super excited to meet new people. She used to be terrifed to walk around the shelter and would pancake when it was time to go outside. But how she`s more than egar to get her walk for the day. She does have handling sensitivites when it comes to medical handling and she does have a waiver that explains the details of what we`ve noticed here at the shelter. Alani spends most of her day finding new creative ways to sleep in her kennel; she has even been seen asleep on her back! Although, we know that she would much prefer the comfort of someone`s plush bed. If you be the one to give this sweet girl a new home?
