Story
Ford -not a Ferrari! - 2 years old | Emotional Support Human Wanted | Tom Hardy Energy, Mix of Chill and excitement. Hi. I’m Ford. Yeah… like the truck. That’s actually where I was found. Abandoned in a Ford truck in Los Angeles. Another rescue grabbed me and started searching for somewhere safe to land. Freedom said yes. So here I am. Still standing. Still learning. Still trying. Let’s get the honest stuff out first. I’m a great dog. My listening skills? Subpar. My skills with other male dogs? Also subpar. I prefer females. Submissive ones. I don’t know why. It’s just my wiring right now. Males? Not my thing. We’re working on it with training. Because once something rubs me the wrong way, I can black out. It’s fear. It’s insecurity. It’s survival brain. And I need someone who understands that and leads me through it instead of reacting to it. Truthfully? I would absolutely thrive as your one and only. No other dogs. Just you and me. Structure. Boundaries. Calm leadership. The worst thing you could do is toss me in front of your dogs during my first week home. I need the 3-3-3 rule. Decompression. Routine. Space to breathe. If you rush me, I unravel. If you guide me, I lock in. Now let’s talk about the good stuff. I’m basically potty trained. I wear a belly band when I’m floating around the house because when I get excited, I pee a little. And yes, I get excited. I just discovered toys. You think I’m not going to get emotional about that? I had never had a toy before. Now I dump them out, chew bones, roll in my bed rubbing my body all over it like I’m applying expensive cologne. I’m reclaiming a childhood I never had. I love lounging. I love stretching out dramatically. I love scratching my back into a dog bed like I’m leaving my signature scent. When I get excited I do a wiggle jump up, I should have been in Circus Soleil And TV? Elite. Put on Disney Pixar and I am locked in. Animal Planet is good too, but I may yell at the screen. Sometimes my foster mom puts me in her bed alone with cartoons on so I can decompress. I sprawl out like I pay the mortgage. Now let’s address something important. Have you seen my eyes?? Yes. Those big, sad, puppy-dog eyes. I know. They’re powerful. And the one tooth that’s always out? That’s not an accident. That’s branding. I can flex my wrinkly face like it’s a full emotional screenplay. You can read me like a book just by looking at me. I’m expressive. Dramatic. Intensely transparent. Runway model material? Possibly. Heart-on-my-face, one-tooth-out, wrinkly philosopher vibe? Yes. And yes… I scream but only when my foster mom walks in the door, I scream like a baby because I am so excited she came back. It’s joy. It’s relief. It’s “you didn’t leave me forever.” Because abandonment leaves a mark. Here’s the core of me. I have zero confidence. Underneath the bravado, I’m an insecure frat boy in a bulldog body. I guard my foster mom sometimes because I’m scared to lose her. But I also sleep in her bed with three other dogs. Make it make sense. I’m layered like that delicious taco dip. I have never gone after a human in rescue care. I bond hard. Velcro hard. I will attach to you like you are oxygen. But I need a leader. Not chaos. Not coddling. Not emotional energy that feeds mine. I need someone steady. Boundaries without guilt. Structure without drama. Someone who understands that leadership is love. When I mess up, I know it. I pout. I feel bad. I’m not mean. I’m insecure. There’s a difference. Over time, my confidence will build. The fear of being left will fade. And what you’ll get is a loyal, intense, deeply loving dog who just needed someone to believe in him. If you want easy, I am easy but if you have dogs that aren’t submissive keep scrolling. Food- Good lord it is delicious!! I will hurry up, go outside, go pee and then scream to come in!!! That delicious breakfast is calling my name and the drool starts to form…I always have to wait for her to make everyone’s breakfast. If I stop screaming, she knows I am going poop. She makes me wait can you believe that!!! Anyway, I eat raw salmon on top of signature kibble and she puts some CBD in there every morning so it keeps me calm. The treats hell yes!! Toys!! I love them I love to toss them in the air and catch them I also love when humans bounce the ball and I get to jump and try to catch it the attempt is there but I never catch it! You will catch me carrying a ball in my mouth most the time or chewing on a Bam Bone. I need stimulation and these things really help me. If you want real, I’m right here. Bring leadership. I’ll bring heart. And one tooth. If you think you might be my emotional support human — calm, grounded, strong — apply at freedomfrenchierescue.org. Ford is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adoption donation fee is $1100.00 and he is being fostered in Mesa, AZ. *Please Note: All learning and guidance must continue in their new home. A dog’s behavior can change with a new environment and energy, and every family’s dynamic is different. What works or is allowed in one foster home may not be the same in yours, so consistency, patience, and continued training are key to their success.

Story
We moved into an apartment complex that dont allow her breed as a boxer. Shes the sweetest girl, is super patient with kids, and LOVES cuddles & seriously she practically wants to be in your shirt 😂. She has all her shots and is fixed as well as a chip. She was abandoned so we dont want to make her feel as though we are leaving her behind in a shelter. No fees, we just want a good family or care giver to give her the love she deserves

Story
Hi there, future family! My name is Lafonda, and oh boy, do I have a tail&#226&#128&#145wagging story to tell you. I’ve been waiting a long time to share it with the special humans who will someday call me their own. Maybe—just maybe—that’s you. I’m about four years old, which means I’ve got the perfect mix of youthful pep and grown&#226&#128&#145up charm. Back in June of 2025, I was picked up as a stray in Yuma. I don’t remember much about how I ended up on my own, but I do remember how relieved I was when kind people scooped me up and kept me safe. I spent some time at the pound there, dreaming of the day someone would walk in, point at me, and say, “That’s the one.” It didn’t happen then… but that’s okay, because my journey wasn’t over. Now I’m living my best temporary life at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and let me tell you—I’m soaking up all the love, treats, and playtime I can get. Still, every night when I curl up to sleep, I imagine what it will feel like to finally have a forever home. A place where I can stretch out on a soft bed, chase toys across the yard, and follow my humans around like the loyal shadow I’m destined to be. Let’s talk about the elephant in the room—or rather, the bald spot on my head. Yep, I’ve got one! When I was found, I had a wound there, but it’s all healed up now. The hair just never grew back, so I rock a permanent little shiny patch. Personally, I think it adds character. Some dogs have fancy markings; I have a built&#226&#128&#145in conversation starter. It makes me unique, memorable, and honestly kind of adorable. I’m all up to date on my vaccinations, and I’ve been microchipped so I’ll never get lost again. That part is really important to me. After spending who&#226&#128&#145knows&#226&#128&#145how&#226&#128&#145long wandering alone, the idea of always being connected to my people feels like the warmest, safest hug. Now, let’s get to the fun stuff—my personality. If you’re looking for a couch potato, I’m probably not your girl. I’m an active, playful, goofy, boxer&#226&#128&#145mix bundle of energy. I love to run, jump, wiggle, and especially play fetch. Oh, fetch. My absolute favorite. Throw the ball once, and I’ll think you’re neat. Throw it twice, and I’ll think you’re amazing. Throw it three times, and I’ll love you forever. I adore people. Hanging out with humans is one of my top hobbies. Whether you’re relaxing, working in the yard, or just wandering around the house, I’m happiest when I’m part of the action. I’m loyal, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day with a tail wag or a goofy grin. I do need to mention one thing: I’m not good with cats. I know, I know—they’re cute and fluffy, but something about them just gets me too excited. So a cat&#226&#128&#145free home would be best for everyone involved. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring joy, laughter, and endless enthusiasm into your life, I think we might be a perfect match. I’ve been waiting since last summer for my forever family to find me. Maybe you’re the one who will finally say, “Come on, Lafonda. Let’s go home.” If you’d like to meet me—and I really hope you do—please email mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment. I’ll be here, tail wagging, ready to greet you with all the love I’ve been saving up. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis.
