Hi, I’m Vinnie — Your Valentine for Life
(3 years old | ~35 lbs | Professional Lounger & Heart-Stealer)
Hey there. Name’s Vinnie. I’m three years young, about 35 pounds of pure love, and I’m what you’d call a late riser. I don’t do mornings… I do brunch. I sleep in until around 11, wake up handsome, eat, head outside to sniff everything like it’s my job, play with a few toys, and then head right back inside for a long, luxurious nap. I take my routine seriously — consistency is important when you’re this charming.
My Story (AKA How I Became a Rockstar)
I didn’t come to rescue because anyone failed me. Quite the opposite. Some truly incredible humans pulled me from a Southern California shelter when my life was on the line. They saved me knowing they couldn’t keep me — but they could make sure I lived. They got me healthy, cared for, and then brought me to rescue so I could find the very best forever home. When you see my old photos, I was skinny and sick… but look at me now. I’m thriving, glowing, and honestly kind of a rock star. Freedom Frenchie Rescue applauds people like this, and so do I — they are one of a kind.
A Day in the Life of Me
My days are simple and perfectly balanced. I wake up late, enjoy brunch (we’re not calling it breakfast), head outside to take care of business and do some serious sniffing, then I come back inside to relax. I’ll nap until late afternoon, hang out, eat dinner, enjoy a snack in between meals, and spend the rest of the day soaking up the good life. I eat three times a day and believe strongly in snacks — they matter.
Dog Stuff & Social Life
So far, I’ve done great with most dogs and have been out with seven to ten dogs at a time without issues. Sometimes I give a little old-man grumble if another dog gets in my face, but it’s just a polite warning. I don’t have one mean bone in my body. I’m a complete sweetheart who communicates clearly and calmly. I love the ladies and get along with some boy dogs too — I’m still settling in, so we’re learning together. I don’t mind car rides sometimes my stomach gets a little upset but then I am fine and I adore watching the world go by or of course take a nap! Going for walks is so fun but of course I don’t get super far so a wagon is a great suggestion for me!
My Love Language
If you’re wondering how I show love, the answer is closeness. I love sitting next to you on the couch, laying at your feet while you work, following you from room to room, or curling up in my dog bed while keeping one eye on you at all times. You’ll see my eyes moving as I track your every move — I just like knowing where my people are. And treats? Don’t even get me started. Soft steak treats are my weakness, and I will absolutely inhale them.
House Manners & Skills
I’m fully potty trained and incredibly easy to live with. I love sunbathing — but honestly, what bully doesn’t? I’m calm, respectful, and happy to just exist peacefully in a home. I’ve recently moved into a foster home where I get real couch privileges and freedom, because Mo’s house is Basecamp for medical cases. My foster mom loves her bullies, and I have three foster sisters who are completely obsessed with me — and yes, they drool all over this stud.
Mo’s Valentine Note About Me
This guy is freaking awesome. I absolutely adore him. He is a diamond in the rough and has come so far. The people who saved him deserve the biggest hug in the world — they were thorough, honest, and spot-on about his routine, quirks, and personality. Anyone would be lucky to have him. He loves the ladies, likes some boy dogs, and we’re still learning more about him every day. He is medically sound and our vet does not see any underlying medical issues with him. Vinnie is a catch, he stole my heart and I would very much love to keep him!!
My Perfect Match
I’m the bow to the arrow that will steal your heart. I’m part big teddy bear, part frat boy, and part old man — all wrapped into one incredibly easy, loving dog. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to nap, snack, sunbathe, and be near you at all times, I might just be your forever Valentine.
Love,
Vinnie
