He has shown positive social behaviors while in the presence of other dogs, so with the right introduction, he may do well with another dog in the home. Story
Looking for a Loving Home for My Bull Terrier/Rottweiler Mix I’m looking to find a loving and responsible new home for my black Bull Terrier/Rottweiler mix. He is a very good dog with a loving personality and lots of energy. He is good with kids and good with other dogs, but he does have an issue with smaller dogs, so a home without small dogs would be best. He is very affectionate and loves being around people. He has a ton of energy and would do best with someone who can give him plenty of exercise, attention, and playtime. He absolutely loves treats and is very food-motivated. He knows tricks and is always happy to show them off when there are treats involved! He’s a smart, loving dog who just needs the right home and someone willing to give him the time and attention he deserves. I want to make sure he goes to a good, responsible, and loving home where he will be treated like family. I’m hoping to find someone who understands his energy level.

💙 MEET TOBIAS — A YOUNG DOG WITH SO MUCH POTENTIAL 💙 📍 Upland Animal Shelter — Upland, CA 🐾 Animal ID: IEPA-A-18286 🐕 Breed: Bull Terrier Mix ♂️ Sex: Male 🎂 Age: 2 years, 3 months ⚖️ Weight: 56.8 lbs 📅 At the shelter since: November 16, 2025 Some dogs show you immediately who they are. Others need someone to spend time with them, walk with them, learn their rhythms, and see the dog they are capable of becoming. Tobias is one of those dogs. At just over two years old, Tobias is a young, affectionate, energetic boy who has spent an important part of his young life in the shelter. But one volunteer, Star, has made a point of getting to know him. She tries to walk Tobias every time she comes to the shelter, and over time, something special has developed between them. When asked why Tobias is one of her favorite dogs, Star didn't hesitate: “He's young, and I believe he has a lot of potential to be a great dog.” And perhaps the most beautiful thing she said about him was also the simplest: “I think we kind of understand each other.” 🐾 A WONDERFUL WALKING COMPANION Tobias may have plenty of youthful energy, but put on his harness and head out for a walk, and you'll see another side of him. According to Star, “He walks beautifully. He walks wonderful in a harness.” Daily walks will be important for Tobias. He is an active young dog who needs opportunities to move, explore, play, and use his energy in positive ways. He isn't a dog who should spend his life confined to a crate. He wants to participate in life. Give him exercise, structure, companionship, toys, games of fetch, and adventures, and you'll be giving Tobias exactly the kind of life in which he can thrive. 🎾 SMART, PLAYFUL & READY TO LEARN Tobias loves toys. He loves fetch. He's treat motivated, knows basic commands, enjoys water, and is smart and eager to learn. Because he has spent many months growing up in a shelter environment, Tobias will need someone willing to help him make the transition from shelter dog to family dog. Star believes so strongly in his potential that, if she were adopting him herself, she says she would work with a trainer. Not because Tobias is a “bad dog,” but because she sees how much this intelligent young dog could accomplish with consistent guidance. A patient adopter who combines affection with structure, exercise, positive reinforcement, and perhaps some professional training could help Tobias become the wonderful companion Star already sees inside him. 🏡 TOBIAS'S IDEAL HOME Tobias would do best with an active person or family who understands that young dogs need both exercise and guidance. Because of his youthful enthusiasm and size, children 13 and older would be the best match. He can become excited and jumpy when he has pent-up energy, so younger children could accidentally be knocked over. Tobias should currently be the only dog in the home, although he is not reactive toward other dogs. He has not been formally tested with cats, but he may potentially be cat tolerant. Most importantly, Tobias needs people who will include him in their lives—not simply give him a place to stay. He needs walks. He needs play. He needs boundaries. He needs affection. And he needs someone willing to show him what being part of a family is all about. ❤️ “WOULD YOU ADOPT HIM?” After spending so much time walking Tobias and getting to know him, Star was asked one final question: If you could, would you adopt him? Her answer came immediately: “Yes!” Why? “Because I like him! ... I think we kind of understand each other.” Sometimes the people who spend time with shelter dogs see something the rest of us can easily miss. Star sees a young dog with enormous potential. A dog worth teaching. A dog worth investing in. A dog worth loving. Tobias has been waiting since November 2025. Maybe what he's been waiting for isn't someone looking for a perfect dog. Maybe he's waiting for someone who can look at him and see what Star sees: the wonderful dog he is capable of becoming. 💙🐾

Story
Dante is a chunky male that no doubt shares many of the bull terrier traits and personality we know and love for example he is rambunctious, playful, and loves regular exercise. Unfortunately he does not get along with his siblings at times so we have decided its best to re home him and give him a second chance at finding a home that can give him care specifically for one dog.

Story
I got my English bulldog from a breeder when he was a puppy, and he’s now 7 years old. I’m looking for a new home that understands the calm, low energy nature of bulldogs. A relaxed, indoor environment with people who can give him steady companionship and keep him comfortable. He’s a very calm, lazy, and easygoing dog who enjoys a simple routine and lots of treats.

Story
Meet Cake, a Boxer mix puppy who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be. Rescued alongside her sister Brownie, Cake is now learning what it means to feel safe, cared for, and loved - and she's embracing it with enthusiasm. Cake is the slightly more confident of the two, often taking the lead during playtime, but she's also incredibly affectionate. She loves toys, cuddles, and giving kisses, and she adores being close to her people. She's doing great with potty training, knows how to use potty pads, rides well in the car, and is remarkably well behaved for a young rescue puppy. Cake is friendly with other dogs and eager to keep learning as she grows. She would love to stay with Brownie, but she's also confident enough to thrive in a loving home of her own. Please visit our website www.promise4paws.org to fill out an adoption application to this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Millie is a 3-year-old Boxer-American Staffie mix adult female. She is a Mama who was rescued from a high-kill shelter, along with her six 2-week-old puppies, on the day they were scheduled to be euthanized. Fast forward 8 weeks: Millie is on her own and recovering beautifully after caring for her puppies. Millie weighs 53 pounds and is full of love and sweetness. She’s decompressing in a foster home and getting plenty of TLC. Millie is crate-trained and well-behaved at home. She loves the children she’s met, especially those over 10 years old. She enjoys car rides and yard adventures. Millie walks great on a leash and loves to play with bones and toys. Once she feels better, she will be spayed by our rescue vet and get another wellness exam. She is current on vaccinations, was dewormed, received her comprehensive fecal test, and is microchipped. Millie was protective of other dogs around her puppies, which is normal. Now that Millie is in a foster home away from her puppies, our trainer will assess her and provide the training she deserves for success. She’s an absolute gem—affectionate, playful, silly, grateful, and thankful for the love and support from Doggie Bonez Rescue volunteers. Adopt amazing Millie. If you're interested in adopting Millie, please fill out an application at www.doggiebonez.com. You can also check out our social media pages on Instagram (@Doggie_Bonez_Inc_) and Facebook (Doggie Bonez) to see more of Millie's cuteness. Our dog adoption fee, which includes vaccinations, fecal testing, wellness exams, microchipping, spaying, or neutering, is $500. If adoption isn't feasible, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short or long-term doggie foster families. Doggie Bonez will provide you with everything you need, including dog food, a bed, toys, medical attention (if required), and more. So, if you're interested, please visit www.doggiebonez.com to see all of our available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their forever home and complete the foster application.March 8, 2026, 12:19 am
