Story
Lola is the sweetest 2-year-old Bull Terrier mix who weighs 32 lbs. She was found wandering the streets of Bakersfield and likely had a litter of puppies prior to being rescued. Her foster Dad was sent a Facebook post from the shelter, which announced her impending euthanization due to lack of public interest (likely due to her breed being hastily labeled as “Pit Bull” at the time). Luckily, Lola was taken in by her foster Dad six hours before her scheduled euthanization. Despite her past, Lola has the most loving and calm temperament, and is the absolute definition of a “Velcro dog”. She quietly shadows her foster Dad wherever he goes, then crawls into his lap when he sits down. Her favorite activities include snuggling, cuddling, and receiving belly rubs! She recently discovered the joy of chasing a ball and will always try to get her foster brothers to join her. Lola bonds to humans and other dogs very quickly, no matter their age, gender, or size, becoming a member of the family within hours! As for obedience, Lola is currently working on minimizing licking, which she often does when excited. However, with some gentle warnings and treats, Lola responds well to training and is a fast learner. She is already fully crate-trained and potty-trained; every foster’s dream! While she does get along with other dogs of all sizes and ages, Lola is not strongly dependent on canine companionship; she would be happy regardless of another dog in the home. She prioritizes snuggling with her family, receiving lots of pets, and eating yummy snacks! MEDICAL HISTORY: Lola does not have a history of medical issues, underlying health problems, or is in need of veterinary care. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. IDEAL HOME: Lola would do best with an individual or family who is moderately active and ready to give her all the snuggles! She gets along with dogs of all sizes and ages (including puppies), as well as humans and young children. We would be open to potential adopters living in an apartment or condo, as long as daily walks are routine. FUN FACTS: - Lola is a relatively calm pup, and would rather cuddle on the couch than roughhouse. - She is usually quite indifferent to other dogs, but will play if initiated! - She has an adorable smiling expression when she is happy or content. - Lola sleeps beside her foster Dad every night. - She always waits for “permission” before jumping on her foster Dad’s lap!

Story
Meet Billie. She is a 2.5-month-old bull terrier who currently weighs about 10 pounds. She is stunning and has the most spirited little personality. Billie is so cute to watch as she romps around playing with her toys and exploring everything around her. She is a confident little muffin who loves being with people and has been very sweet with other dogs. She is doing great sleeping in her pen at night and is already working on her potty training, using both potty pads and going outside. She loves having company and would do really well in a home with another dog to help continue showing her the ropes. Billie is looking for an owner with large breed experience who is ready for all the joys (and learning moments) that come with raising a puppy.

Story
Meet Zero! A spirited two-year-old Bull Terrier currently living in El Cajon, CA, whose tricolor coat is as bold and unforgettable as his personality. With a heart full of loyalty and an energetic spark that lights up every room, Zero is a devoted boy who forms deep bonds and gives his whole heart to his person. Zero is a high-energy companion who thrives on nonstop play and connection. He absolutely loves tug-of-war and fetch, though he sometimes likes to hold onto the toy a little longer just to keep the game interesting! Walks are a favorite adventure, and if there is water nearby, even better! He knows cues like sit, stay, and come, and he is both crate-trained and house-trained. He needs patience and time to build trust, but once he feels secure, his affectionate nature truly shines. Zero currently lives in a home with another dog, but they are kept separate, as he thrives best as the only dog in a structured, calm environment. He bonds closely with his primary caregiver and prefers focused attention. He lives with two children and peacefully coexists with them, though he does not actively engage and instead chooses to stay close to his trusted person. He can feel fearful around unfamiliar men and may tuck his tail and bark if someone approaches too quickly. However, he has made wonderful progress with a man who is now his second caregiver. Though he was initially unsure, he gradually warmed up and now responds to him consistently, showing his ability to build trust with patient, understanding individuals. Zero is extremely affectionate and fully believes he is a lap dog. If his guardian is sitting or lying down, he wants to be right on top of her, soaking up every bit of closeness! When she is standing, he gently nudges for attention or places his head between her legs, asking for connection. He craves reassurance, structure, and positive reinforcement training that helps him feel confident and understood. This playful, loyal boy will flourish in a patient, caring environment where he can continue growing and bonding deeply. Could Zero be the loyal shadow you have been hoping for? Story
At 6 years old, this handsome bulldog mix is the perfect blend of playful spirit and loyal companion. He’s got a big personality, a goofy sense of humor, and a wonky tail wag that could melt any heart. Tennis balls are his absolute favorite—he’ll happily play fetch until your arm gets tired (don’t worry, he’s got plenty of energy to keep going!). Strong and athletic, he’d thrive in a home that can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Because of his size and strength, he’d do best with older kids who can match his energy. He’s also a social pup, getting along great with other dogs, and his silly antics are sure to keep you laughing every day. If you’re looking for a dog who will fill your home with joy, fun, and unconditional love, Hobbs is ready to meet you!   Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation. Story
Barkley is a fantastic puppy. I haven’t seen any signs of fear toward people—in fact, I see very little fear at all. He seems to be a stable, confident, and balanced little guy. I haven’t noticed any separation anxiety outside the normal scope for a young puppy. He may whine a bit in the crate, but he settles quickly and recovers well. It’s not excessive and well within what’s typical for his age. Barkley is very patient during training. He follows a lure beautifully, and it’s easy to shape new behaviors with him. We’re currently working on marker words and leash skills, and he’s picking up the concepts quickly. This is going to be an easy dog to train. He’s also very neutral to loud noises and environmental stimuli, which is a great trait in a puppy. His energy level is mild—not over the top—which makes him a really enjoyable companion. Barkley’s going to make a wonderful dog for just about anyone Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation.
