Story
We acquired Maverick from a pet adoption agency when he was 9 months old. He is now just a little over 2 years old. He is a fiercely loyal pet to his owners--friendly and seeks a lot of attention. He loves going out in our 5 acre property and running around. He is great at following commands when he is calm (he was placed in a $3000 private training program). However, difficult to get his attention when distracted. A perfect home for Maverick would be with a family with no kids as he gets extremely anxious with loud noise and commotion--particularly around kids and too many guests. The homeowners should be experienced with young, larger dogs and willing to work on behavioral traits such as hyperactivity and overprotectiveness. We love Maverick and only rehoming him because we know it's best for him to be with a family that allows him to be himself without worry about hurting kids.

Story
Diamond is an almost 10 year old Pitbull. She loves her people with every ounce of her being. She loves to cuddle and be tucked into her bed at night. She loves to be exactly where you are and involved in everything you’re doing. If you are someone that likes to garden, so is she. Diamond would be great with a family with older children or adults only house. She has boundary issues with knowing when it’s okay to be in someone’s face, so I’ve never allowed her to be alone or unattended around small children. Just to avoid any possible accidents. Diamond does have a high prey drive so small animals free ranging might not be a good fit, such as cats, small dogs, or chickens. I use to have another pitbull that she got along great with. Diamond is completely house broken and easy to train on where the exits are to alert you when she needs to go outside. She’s very treat motivated. She will sit, lay down and roll over for a snack. In fact, she’ll go anywhere if you say the word “ snack”.

Story
Meet Kimber - if you are looking for a low maintenance dog that loves to watch TV, cuddle, play with toys, and curl up in blankets, and share naps, this is your girl.  She’s so loving!  Kimber is a very sweet female cuddle bug that is a 6 year old bull terrier mix and weighs 51 pounds. She went through the obedience training program at the prison and has learned so much! She loves all people including older kids, is house trained and goes in her crate when her foster is away. She does want to be the only pet in her home and would do best with a fenced-in yard. She will go on walks but doesn't necessarily need them. She loves sleeping in bed or watching TV.  Kimber is a smart girl that loves her human attention and has done great at all events we have taken her to.  She has been great with every single person she's met and her fav person is the mailman since he always brings treats.Kimbers ideal home would be calm and quiet with her people nearby. She would do fine with respectful older children or an adult only house.  Kimber is truly a WONDERFUL dog.  She would be great for someone who wants an easy dog that will keep them company. If you're interested in meeting this loving girl, apply at www.caninecollective.org. She deserves a forever home!  Note: Without a DNA test or direct information about the parents, the breed listed is based on our best guess or from the use of a breed identification app

Story
Meet Henney 🤍If you've ever had a soft spot for Bull Terriers, get ready to fall in love.Henney is a 1–2 year old Bull Terrier weighing 49 pounds, and she has all the charm, personality, and distinctive looks that make the breed so beloved. From her iconic egg-shaped head to her playful expressions, she's impossible not to notice. But what really stands out about Henney isn't her looks—it's how much she loves people.  During her photo session, Henney impressed everyone she met. She was easy to handle, walked nicely on leash, and made it clear that her favorite thing in the world is human attention. Toys? She could take them or leave them. Treats? Sure, they're nice. But pets, cuddles, and quality time with her people? That's where Henney's heart truly lies. In fact, this affectionate girl would happily trade a toy box full of toys for a lap to lean on and a person willing to scratch her ears. She has a sweet, friendly nature and the kind of personality that makes you feel like you've been friends forever.Henney is the type of dog who wants to be part of whatever you're doing—whether that's going for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or simply hanging out together after a long day. She's social, loving, and eager to share her life with a family of her own. Henney should be the only dog in her home as she needs to keep her space to herself. She’ll do well with a family that is familiar with Bull Terriers or similar breeds, comfortable managing her needs, and committed to helping her avoid interactions with unfamiliar dogs. For someone who appreciates the bold, loving personality of a Bull Terrier, Henney has plenty of affection and companionship to offer. If you're looking for a loyal companion who values affection above all else, Henney is ready to meet you.
