Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Freddie!! This handsome fellah is ready to wiggle his way right into your family to find a family to grow up with. He has entered our DASH Prison Training Program where he is learning his puppy manners and basic commands. He is working on (& getting pretty good with) sit, stay, down, wait & leave it. Freddie is great on a leash, is (mostly) housebroken in the prison environment but will need continued training & encouragement to get these down while he acclimates to his new home. He will go into his crate but whines if he is left alone because he'd rather be with his person. He likes playing with the other dogs but has not been cat tested. His handler says Freddie is a happy, playful, affectionate, energetic little boy. With all that puppy energy a meet and greet is recommended especially with younger children. He'd love to come home with you, apply today! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2025, 2:35 pm

Story
Looking for an older pup to share your home with? Meet Ricardio! This sweet boy came to us as a stray, and we're not sure why no one came looking for his handsome lad. But Ricardio doesn't let that get him down, he's just as spritely and happy as ever! Ricardio is in good shape for an older middle aged pup, and aside from his handsome salt-and-pepper face you'd never know his age. He is out of all that high energy puppy stage, but more than happy to accompany you for a walk or a lap around the yard. Ricardio is ready to find his retirement home and a family he can give all his love to! If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Ricardio home. If you are interested in meeting Ricardio, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 75 Age: 7yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
ABOUT ME… I am Sage, roughly a 1 year old Boxer-Mix, who just had a litter of 9 boys! I came to my foster home from being rescued by the dog warden. I have learned lots in a short amount of time, and I am very treat driven. I am a very happy, loving pup who listens well. I AM GREAT WITH… Giving cuddles and love. I take treats gently from you. I am potty trained and pee pad trained. I have been crated, but my Foster Mom trusts me to be out of the crate when she is gone or at work. I AM STILL WORKING ON… Sometimes I get curious about what's in the trash or on the counter, but I do listen if you tell me to get down. I am decent at walking on a leash, but I have not been tested with going on walks yet. Also, when I get excited to see you, I jump up to show you joy that you are home, but I do get down when told to. I REQUIRE… To be crated when eating with other animals around. I do growl when another animal gets close to my food, so my Mom has not taken any chances and crates me when I eat. I have not been around kids or cats at my foster home. **All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. Booster shots are included in the adoption fee and will be performed at our clinic, or the adopter can use their own vet at their expense. Adopters must reside within 2 hours of Columbus, OH. No transportation assistance is available.**

Story
We adopted Bailey from a rescue in January 2018. Bailey was part of a litter that was rescued after their mother was hit by a car. Her estimated birthdate is November 2017. She’s been great with our children, both of which she’s been with since they were born. Bailey is a proud protector of her home and family. There was a cat in the home when Bailey was a puppy, which she handled well. However, she has been the only animal in the home for several years now so we don’t know how she would do with other pets. Bailey is potty trained and crate trained, sometimes spending up to 8 hours in the cage during the work day. She’s a high energy dog and it’s unfair for us to keep her confined for so long. Bailey loves to run and would enjoy a fenced in yard. She does have a history of seizures which she is medicated for, and she has not had breakthrough seizure activity with her current medication regimen which she has been on for a year at least. She does well with boarding when we travel.
