Good with dogs,
Story
We found "Grey" wondering the streets. For weeks he would come up to our son at work and he would want love and pets. After a long while we new he needed to get off the streets so he didn't get injured and had shelter. We have been keeping him in our kennel for 2 weeks now and we can't give him the attention he needs due to having other animals and a farm with chickens and duck and goats. We already have 2 rescue pups of our own as well. We would love to see him go to a family who has time for him and likes to cuddle.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.2/24/24 Still available! 2/4/24 *Bonded pair*.  Shortbread (brindle) and Poundcake (brown) are absolutely precious! These little girls are 4 months old. They were surrendered to our rescue by the breeder because they both have Spina Bifida. They have no mobility issues at all- the only symptom is that they are both bladder and bowel incontinent. They will always have to wear diapers. The upside is that you don't have to worry about house training them! These are probably the easiest pups I've ever had. They don't get into things, not big chewers, easy to correct, and they love to snuggle, but if you can't snuggle, they will find a soft spot to snuggle with each other or play together. They are just as sweet as can be, and you have to admit, they are incredibly cute in their little diapers and suspenders! Even though they are still just babies, they are old souls. Despite the diapers, they are very easy to care for. We have them sleep in a crate together, without their diapers, on a grid, so their pee/poop goes under them, and they aren't sitting in it. In the mornings, they eat in their crate, then about 30 min after eating, I put their diapers on them and they come out for the day. I usually only change them one time throughout the day. Then, at night, I remove their diapers and put them back in their crates to eat dinner, and they are perfectly content to go to bed and rest for the remainder of the night. They love to go outside on nice days and explore the yard, but it should be noted that as English Bulldogs, they should never be allowed to stay outside on warm days due to their increased risk for heat stroke. They love being picked up and held or just talked to. They are very affectionate, but not at all demanding. They must be adopted together and stay together. Before applying, please think about whether you will want to deal with diapers on 2 dogs for the next 10+ years. While they are very easy, it is still a major commitment, and I don't want them to ever be separated or booted outside due to their adopter getting frustrated. So please put a lot of thought into whether you are ready for that kind of commitment. They are not free, nor will they be a deeply discounted adoption. Even though they have Spina Bifida, they are still wonderful, and I want them to go to someone who knows their worth and will love them, diapers and all. They are special to me and can stay here with me for however long it takes to find them the perfect home. Please private message for info on the adoption fee. They are up to date on vaccinations and I have had them spayed and microchipped.  Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 3/31/24 Homer What a gem! Homer was in a municipal shelter here in Arkansas, where he had run out of time and was in danger of being euthanized. Thanks to a wonderful foster opening their home, we are able to save this sweet boy in the nick of time, and we are so glad we did! Homer may not look fancy, but he makes up for that with his winning personality. He LOVES going to Doggy daycare and playing with all the other dogs there. He is an affectionate dog, but is not demanding at all. He is thankful for any little pat on the head or kind word. He is smart and very receptive to training, so he quickly house, crate, and leash manners. He is not a high energy dog with his humans at all, but when other dogs initiate higher energy play, he's game! Homer recently underwent heartworm treatment and came through it with flying colors! He is now recovered and is ready to find his forever home! We would love to see him go to a home with another dog companion, or a family who will enroll him in a daycare one or two times a week to keep him social. He is not anxious when left alone, so he would do fine with a family that has a regular work schedule out of the home. He is nit a l loud dog and would be OK for apartment or condo dwellers, as long as they can give him proper exercise and stimulation. We are unsure of Homer's breed, but he is about 60 lbs and we believe he is 3 or 4 years old. This website makes us pick a breed to list him as, he is probably a mix of several breeds. We put Boxer mix because a breed ID app listed Boxer as a potential breed. Who knows! He does have one wonky ear which is probably due to an old hematoma that was left untreated or an old injury. It does not seem to bother him at all and there is nothing to be done for it. If you are looking for a chill, sweet natured dog who is content to just keep you company, Homer is your guy! Please consider giving him a forever home, and if you can't do that, please share his post to help him find a good home. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available.
