Story
Meet Jewel! 💎Jewel is a short-legged, strong-willed girl who is just over a year old and a solid 45 pounds of squishy love mixed with lots of puppy energy. She’s a sturdy little brick of affection with a confident personality and a mind of her own—true to her bully breed roots.Jewel knows sit, stay, and drop it (especially when you mean business!) and is currently working on lay down. She is kennel trained and will eat in a kennel. Potty training has been mastered, and she will stand by the door (she has been on a regular schedule, so that helps). She’s also making steady progress with her leash skills, though squirrels, bunnies, and barking dogs can still be very exciting and may cause some pulling. In her foster home, Jewel loves squeaky toys, antlers, and hard chew or rope toys. She enjoys chasing a ball, even if she doesn’t always feel like bringing it back. She plays well with the other dogs in the home and does great with the teenage girl there.Jewel absolutely loves car rides and going along on adventures with her people. Inside the house, she keeps everyone entertained with her goofy personality and a variety of adorable sounds. She’s happy to tumble, roll, and fully enjoy the fun of life.Because of her strength, energy level, and prey drive, cats and small animals are a no-go, and she would do best in a home with older children, as she could accidentally knock little ones over. Once her energy is spent, Jewel settles in for a nap—and rewards you with impressive, loud snores.Jewel is a fun-loving, loyal companion who will thrive with someone who appreciates her spunky personality and is ready to continue her training. If you’re looking for a strong, silly, adventure-loving sidekick, Jewel might be your perfect match. 🐾💙Thank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue.
