Champ isn't just his name- it's who he is. This 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix (78lbs) has spent 472 days waiting as of 07/16/26, and through it all, he has never stopped believing that his person is out there. As one of our Diamond Dogs, his adoption fee is just $75- but the loyalty, devotion, and heart he brings are truly priceless. Champ is the kind of dog who forms a deep, unbreakable bond with his person. He is incredibly people-focused and thrives when he has someone to call his own. Once you're in his circle, you're everything to him. He walks beautifully on a leash, is intelligent and eager to learn, and does best with structure, routine, and confident leadership. Champ would do best in a home with older children or adults who are comfortable with a large, strong dog. He is not a match for homes with cats or small animals. He loves going for walks but does not enjoy being in a yard alone. He may do well with a submissive female dog or thrive as the only pet where he can fully focus on his person. After more than a year in the shelter, Champ is more than ready to step into the life he deserves- a life where he is no longer waiting, but finally home. Champ is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative as of 03/27/26.
