Story
Meet Brea Female DOB: June 05, 2025 Weight: 14 lbs Breed: Cairn Terrier / Poodle Mix Spayed (Fixed) Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Brea is a sweet, playful young girl who is full of life and always ready for her next adventure. At 1 year old, she has the perfect balance of puppy-like enthusiasm and growing maturity. She loves spending time with her people, exploring her surroundings, and making every day a little brighter with her cheerful personality. Brea is affectionate, social, and eager to be part of the action. Whether she's playing, going for walks, or cuddling up after a busy day, she enjoys being close to her family and thrives on companionship and attention. As a Cairn Terrier / Poodle Mix, Brea combines the intelligence and trainability of the Poodle with the spirited, confident personality of the Cairn Terrier. This mix is often known for being smart, affectionate, curious, and highly people-oriented. Brea will benefit from both physical exercise and mental stimulation to help keep her happy and engaged. Brea would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and playtime Continued training and guidance Mental stimulation and enrichment Positive socialization experiences Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Young dogs require time, patience, training, supervision, and financial commitment as they continue developing into well-balanced adult companions. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Brea will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Exercise and mental stimulation Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, dogs like Brea blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Brea will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Regular grooming and coat maintenance Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of her Poodle heritage, regular grooming and coat care will be important to keep her comfortable and healthy. Consistent veterinary care, emotional stability, proper nutrition, and daily companionship are all essential to helping Brea thrive in her future home. Brea is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
DINA: Cairn Terrier Mix | Spayed Female | 1 Year Old | 16 lbs Dina is a calm, gentle, and well-mannered little girl with a sweet and sensitive nature. She is obedient, quiet, and not prone to barking or destructive behavior. Dina gets along well with other dogs and enjoys simple pleasures like car rides and peaceful walks in the park. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and loved, her affectionate side truly shines. With a little patience and kindness, Dina forms strong bonds and becomes a loyal, loving companion. Dina was rescued alongside several other female dogs from a group living on the streets, where many were at risk due to being in heat. At first, adjusting to home life was challenging, as she was used to surviving outdoors. But over time, she has learned to feel safe, and now she is thriving and ready for a forever home. If you can offer DINA the loving home she deserves, please contact Reyna: miracledogrescue@gmail.com 323-383-8883

Story
This handsome boy is Eli and he is an approx 9 year old Westie/Cairn Terrier mix that is about 16lbs. Eli came to us when his owner died and the adult children did not want him. He was living with one of the sons and his wife and they said they couldn't keep him, so we very happily took him into our foundation. Eli is an amazing dog! He is calm, quiet, happy, loving, but also independent. He could be your one and only dog as he does not interact with other dogs, not at all. He really seems to prefer people, especially men. Eli is the perfect dog for someone who works from home or is retired. He does love his walks and by no means is he geriatric! He is peppy and full of fun energy! Eli would make a perfect companion and an even more perfect addition to any household that is calm and non chaotic. He is just a great all around dog with so much love to give! Eli is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We only adopt in So California as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial are required. Please contact us at gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020

Story
Please call Lydia at 714-357-8405 to discuss meeting Kimba. He was rescued as a stray, is quiet natured and sociable with other dogs and humans. If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications for he/she. We do not do out-of-state adoptions on highly adoptable dogs; we would only consider out-of-state adoptions for dogs that prove hard-to-place locally. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog on Saturday at Petsmart in Yorba Linda between noon and 3 pm OR on a mutually agreeable day, time and place during the week. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. and they range from $295-$495.

Story
COURTESY POST: CONTACT 818-378-8995 to adopt or foster Hi I’m Romeo, a 3-year-old terrier mix and 20 lbs. of snuggles. Sadly, I was abandoned when a rescue closed and really want to find my forever home. I LOVE toys and playing with other dogs! I’m good with cats too. I’m a little shy though upon first meeting and prefer no small children please, they scare me. Not to brag but I’m super smart. I’m the kind of smart that keeps you on your toes so I need a human who appreciates a dog with brains and will keep my mind as active as my body. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is smart, eager to please and wants to curl up next to you for hours - I’m your guy! I’m house-trained, neutered, have all my shots and ready to be your best friend for life!
