Story
If you are a 100% Match SUBMIT an APPLICATION at K9Lifeline.com. Curly Sue, what a precious soul she is. All she wants is the perfect owner/family who will love her unconditionally for life 13+ more years, Curly Sue is about 2 years old & 9 pounds. Curly Sue is an Active girl with compliments of mellow, chill, a go with the flow type of dog. She is gentle, affectionate & warmhearted. One of her favorite things to do is curl in your lap for hugs & belly rubs! Curly Sue has Never been mean with humans or dogs even when scared. Curly Sue loves running, playing & chasing other dogs around her size (we do not know how she would react to bigger dogs, normal or scared) Curly Sue plays fetch & tug with her human. On her own she Loves chewing on plush squeaky/krinkley toys but the problem is... She chews the stuffing out of them so you'll need to be prepared to replenish her toy stock on a regular basis. lol She likes chewing on bully sticks as her big treat of the day, she is a tough chewer so she gets the bully about an hour a day (she cannot be given anything that will splinter). Curly Sue is Never left unsupervised with toys or bully sticks because of the above. She has a variety of Nylabones that have tolerated her chewing! She has not chewed on anything other than what's for her. Curly Sue is crated when left home alone & for feedings but she is still fearful with the crate. She is well behaved & house broken. Curly Sue follows the other dogs outside into the fenced yard where they all run together, she absolutely loves it. A PHYSICAL FENCED Yard is REQUIRED to adopt her. Curly Sue likes playing fetch & wrestles with her human. Curly Sue has Not been around cats, we do not have any way to test her with them. She knows her name well. When meeting new people Curly Sue is cautious/reserved & gets spooked by loud unexpected noises, a quieter home with no kids is what she needs. Curly Sue sleeps on the bed at the foot throughout the night. Curly Sue is not a dog who licks your face all the time, she's reserved with her kisses. Cairn Terriers are sensible, independent, and friendly dogs who excel as family companions. Compact and affectionate, these dogs do well in apartments and large homes with novice pet parents and experienced dog lovers, alike. They do, however, have high energy and will need their humans to keep them active with walks and play sessions. Cairn Terriers don’t enjoy being left home alone for long hours during the day, so make sure you can provide them with plenty of love and attention for their well-being if you decide that this is the breed for you. If you are a 100% Match SUBMIT an APPLICATION at K9Lifeline.com. The donation for this dog is 395.00. Adult dogs are MICROCHIPPED and FULLY VETTED for about 1 Year. All Puppies & Adults come with a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection Health Certificate (CVIHC) & are up to date on age appropriate DAPPv Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine, Deworming with Virbantel™ or Interceptor Plus™ & Credelio™ or Simparica™ flea/tick preventative. To APPLY for THIS DOG, go to our website K9Lifeline.com PLEASE, PLEASE be considerate of other families & do NOT submit an application unless you are ready to adopt TOMORROW IF approved (we do NOT hold dogs.) Story
About Me: Name: Hedge Breed (or best guess): Cairn Terrier type mix Approximate Age: Adult Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 14 lb Adoption Fee: $450 Requirements: Loving Family Why In Rescue: Texas Transfer Profile:   Update:  Gemma and Hedge were adopted together but Hedge was returned because he wasn't comfortable with the adopter's adult son.  Hedge can be a little grumbly if he is startled and when he gets woken up.  Because of this we are going to advice an adult only home where he will be allowed his space when he is sleeping. Original: Gemma and Hedge came to us from Texas when they found themselves in need of a new home.  We didn't get a history on them, so don't know if they lived with children or other pets.  They are friendly, happy dogs, who can be adopted together or separately.  They do tend to dart out of their kennels and love to race around, so they would love a fenced yard so they can run and play.  They will also need their family to be careful when opening doors to the outside, as they may squeeze through to get outside.  We were told they were around 2 years old but since they had their teeth cleaned before they came to us, it is hard for us to guesstimate hold old we feel they are.  If interested, please fill out the preadoption application at www.bichonrescues.com.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 24, 2023, 1:25 pm

Story
This scruffy nugget is Bo, a 5 year old, 13 pound Terrier mix! He's a chill guy who ignores other dogs and would probably be fine with respectful children 10+ years old. He's a little nervous and barky when meeting new people, but he warms up fast! Bo walks well on a leash and is very treat motivated so he should be easy to train! He's not a fan of his crate but does better when the crate is near the other dogs than when he's separated. He is potty trained and doesn't need a ton of activity! He'd probably like to be in a quieter neighborhood since he alert barks at noises outside. Bo is a big fan of sitting on the couch next to his foster mom, or laying on her chest if she's laying down. He escorts her everywhere she goes and loves to get lots of pets! He loves to be carried any chance he gets, and if you hold him, he will stare into your eyes with deep affection and love. He's a one ear up, one ear down guy - that right ear just can't hang with the left one! If Bo is the scruff for you, please apply to meet him! Bo's adoption fee is $450.

Story
This adorable, energetic, loving 7-8 month old, 12-14 pound puppy is Camilla, most likely a Cairn Terrier or Border Terrier mix. Camilla is one of the sweetest, most playful and fun pup who loves everybody; she is still quite nippy when she gets excited, so we're recommending households with children over the age of ten. Camilla is a confident pup who lives in a foster home with five other dogs, three of which are large and XL dogs and another that is under 25 pounds; she plays (or tries to play) with every dog in the home. She LOVES other dogs so we are specifically seeking an adoptive home with at least one other friendly, playful, and energetic dog in the home with whom Camilla can buddy and be a play companion.  Camilla needs a fenced in yard and someone home more throughout the day due to her energy level. She will walk on a leash, but she has a hard time going potty while on a leash so she would do best with a fenced yard for bathroom breaks and play space. Camilla is about 90% housebroken and will use potty pads if available. She absolutely loves to sleep in bed with her foster mom. Camilla currently requires crating when her foster parent leaves the home; she is a typical puppy who will put find things to chew. Her foster mom crate trained her and she accepts being crated for several hours. Camilla loves playing with her toys and thankfully doesn’t chew them up. Camilla is learning basic commands with treats. She is motivated and now knows “sit” and “go outside” and is working on “stay” and “leave it”.  She has been respectful of cats. Camilla does sleep through the night, but if her foster mom gets out of bed, Camilla also gets up and asks to go outside for a potty break.   This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided puppies series vaccinations, been tested for parasites and disease, been dewormed, spayed and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE BY REQUEST FROM acaringplace@comcast.net.  The online application is not working; please request a form via email. A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. We are always in search of fosters care providers. If you are one of those special people willing to open your heart and home to an animal in need and would like to receive information on how you can foster an animal, please contact us.     November 20, 2023, 4:21 am
