Story
Meet Miles — a young, scruffy puppy currently estimated to be 3 months old and weighing around 10 pounds. We believe this little one may be a Cairn Terrier mix, but as with many rescue pups, their exact breed blend is unknown. What we can say for sure is that Miles is 100% deserving of a loving home.
Miles is currently thriving and is beginning to explore the world through play, naps, mealtime routines, and gentle socialization.
While he has that adorable, wiry, scruffy coat, his personality is incredibly lovable and chill for a pup his age. Like most puppies, life right now revolves around eating, sleeping, learning, and building bonds with people. Every day brings a new experience, and with it, Miles is developing the foundation for becoming a confident and well-adjusted adult dog.
You can see his sweet personality in action here: https://youtu.be/UpFE-bk0Z5s
We understand that bringing a puppy home is a big decision, and we want to set both you and Miles up for success. Puppies require time, patience, and consistency. Miles will benefit from Crate Training & Structure, helping him feel secure in his own space, continuing to build his relaxed, teaching him important life skills like potty training, leash walking, and basic manners.
It’s important to keep in mind that puppies may grow into active, intelligent dogs who thrive with regular mental and physical stimulation. Even a chill pup like Miles will need adopters who are prepared to meet those needs with training, play, and engagement—not just now, but through adulthood.
If you’re ready to invest in the journey and build a lasting relationship with a sweet, scruffy best friend, Miles might be the perfect match. Apply to adopt today and start the next chapter with your new companion!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
