Story
🐾 Meet Dusk Waller! 🐾 Introducing Dusk Waller, a delightful Cairn Terrier mix puppy who carries an urgent plea for a loving home, being from one of the areas in the US where puppies face the highest risk of euthanasia. Choosing to adopt Dusk saves her life and opens a space for another puppy in dire need. Dusk's personality is a beautiful blend of playfulness, sweetness, curiosity, and cuddliness. She relishes playing with her siblings and indulging in plenty of restful naps. Her life joyfully revolves around the quintessential puppy routine: eat, sleep, play, repeat. To catch a glimpse of her adorable antics and see her in action, check out her video here: https://youtu.be/-Q_Sk0Mlby8?si=3e1JPKPV4tXdkBQL As Dusk is still very young, she needs a family committed to nurturing her growth through consistent training, socialization, and plenty of love. Her new family will need to continue her potty and crate training and give her daily exercise to help her develop into a well-adjusted and happy adult dog. When Dusk is old enough, she will be the perfect companion for neighborhood walks, scenic hikes, or simply strutting her stuff around the community. Adopting Dusk promises not just a pet but a loving companion offering endless affection and puppy kisses in return for your care and attention. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this sweet soul, Dusk Waller is eagerly waiting to start her new life filled with love, play, and lots of cuddles. Are you the forever family that Dusk has been dreaming of? 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6602f9d470847f21d20b8af1 Please email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1000 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comDon Diego is a sweet little 16-year-old Cairn Terrier. He is mostly deaf, and mostly blind-- blind in one eye and not much vision in the other. He gets along fine with his keen sense of smell. As with many older pups, he has some health issues, so he is on a few medications. His foster home also has another dog, as well as 2 cats, and he gets along well with them all. He loves to go for walks, but he has some arthritis, so he can only walk shorter distances. He loves to eat, and he will even snatch food away from you, when you're not looking. When he isn't roaming around the house, motoring, he is usually snoozing.FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON DON DIEGO ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ San Diego, CA in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION. Story
Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comRiver is a very sweet and friendly dog. She is one of the best dogs FH says she ever fostered. It is just unfortunate that she has limited walking capability. She is loving to all people and animals. She is the perfect cuddle buddy for watching movies or shows at home. She would make a great emotional support companion as she is always able to lift your spirits! River was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis and although she can use all fours, she has a very limited distance capacity - hence, the 'lap dog' title.FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON RIVER ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ River is being fostered in Whittier, CA in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION.
