Story
Winston is a real charmer! He wins the hearts of everyone he meets. He just showed up in a neighborhood looking for someone to love! After taking him to a vet clinic to be scanned for a microchip and posting him all over social media no owner came forward. Now Winston is looking for a new family. He seems to be extremely friendly with everyone he meets however we do not know how he would do with children. The doctor is guessing him to be about 7 - 8 years old. He seems to be house trained and has not been destructive in any way. He very much enjoys going for walks and likes to spend time outside. His biggest love is sitting in laps and giving kisses if he can get away with it! If you think Winston may be a match for you just let us know!

Boo WHO?! A Boo who would love to be with YOU! This sweet boy arrived at SNIPSA with an unknown history but we suspect somewhere along the way he had a spinal injury. He gets around like a champ greeting his fan club with a wagging tail. Boo is social, curious, and wants to join you on the sofa for long siestas. His favorite show is the Golden Girls and his favorite food is a sliver of steak. He does well with other dogs and is well behaved in the house. He isn’t loud or overbearing and is eager to find a pillow just to bed down wherever that may be. The downside is Boo suffers from mild urinary incontinence and his bladder needs to be manually expressed a few times a day. We know we have probably lost our audience at this point, but in reality it’s super easy. Just a little squeeze, he relaxes and the bladder is emptied. He is aware when the bladder is full and more than willing to help with the process. He can wear a belly band if needed for added confidence. With this aside, we know Boo will need that special person willing to step up for that special dog. Yet, we are confident there is a home for every dog so we were willing to take that chance. Mabel is about 7 months old, weighs 10 pounds and is a typical happy, playful puppy! She is very sweet, friendly and as you can see in the video, enjoys exploring and playing. She was rescued with her brother Milo from a flea market where they were being given away near the border of Mexico. We are so happy they are safe with us. We can see Mabel doing well in a home where she can get lots of attention and playtime with her family. She is curious and also enjoys being held. She has a fun personality and in true terrier fashion, she is very smart. She enjoys playing with toys and her brother. She is just a fun-loving puppy who can’t wait to find a home of her own! She would be a wonderful, loyal companion to grow up in just about any family environment. She would benefit from a puppy obedience class and crate training. Mabel is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet can be arranged with an approved application. Mabel is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This kind and happy girl is BIRDIE.  We are not exactly sure what she is but some sort of terrier mix.  She is 1 1/2 years old and 18 pounds which makes her medium-smallish and still easy to handle.  Her pictures really do not do her justice, she looks wild in these pictures but that is hardly the case.  She has a soft wire-haired coat that will need to be groomed about every 4-5 months as it is slow growing. BIRDIE was owner surrendered because her family could no longer care for her.  She lived in an apartment so she is used to waiting until time to go out to potty.  She knows when you grab the leash that it is her time to shine, she can go for a walk and potty.  She is also totally crate trained and when I announce that I have to run an errand she puts herself in her crate. There are other dogs in the foster home and she gets along very well with everyone including spending time outside playing and enjoying the sun if only for a few minutes.  I do not have a doggy door so she waits until I say the word 'potty' to know that it is time to go out. BIRDIE's personality is kind and happy and very sweet, well mannered and easy to get along with, a non-barker as a plus.
