Story
Meet Mia, a 4-year-old Cairn Terrier with a darling underbite and a heart full of love! Weighing in at just 21 pounds, Mia may be small, but her sweet personality fills a room. This affectionate girl absolutely adores being held and will happily cuddle up in your arms or next to you for some quality time. She enjoys the company of other dogs and loves a good play session, making her a great fit for a home with canine companions. Mia is potty trained and will crate up when needed, though she prefers sleeping close enough to hear her family—it helps her feel safe and secure. She’s still getting used to car rides and tends to be a bit nervous during travel, so a patient adopter willing to help her gain confidence on the road is ideal. Bath time isn’t her favorite, but she’s a trooper and will stand still to get the job done. While she’s full of charm, Mia does have a bit of a mischievous streak—she’s quick to dart out an open door, so a secure home environment and a watchful eye are a must. Mia is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and on monthly preventatives. She’s being fostered in a loving home in Seguin, TX, and is available for adoption only within the state of Texas. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves cuddles, playtime, and being near her people, Mia might just be your perfect match. To apply directly for Mia click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-661 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Kiwi is a uncommon fruit, right?? Not as "common" as bananas or apples... and I am an uncommon girl as well :) Now, unfortunately. I was kind of ordinary in my first "home"... I lived with a gentleman who "hoarded" dogs like me... scared and wild and not spayed...so we had LOTS of puppies and no love or social interactions ;( BUT, once the gentleman who took puppies to a vet to be euthanized the rescuers leapt into action and saved me and so many more!! So just like the great movies.... it seemed hopeless but it was really the turning point for our lives... SO, I am now living in a fantastic foster home. It is fun and I am adjusting to SO MUCH attention (lol) and learning more of the dog's ways. I am learning to go on leisurely walks, on a leash, and in a neighborhood :) My foster mom has a couple of things to tell you about me... "So she’s still very timid. But enjoys walks & sitting outside with her person. She doesn’t like the process of putting on the leash but once she’s outside she walks closely next to you or behind you. Once she’s comfortable with the area she will get excited and walk in front of you." I am smart and picks up on things fairly quickly. I love sleeping behind the couch and I use my crate as a safe space. I am a little nervous with other dogs, and could be great as an only dog. I am looking for a home that is as uncommon as I am!! Hope it is yours :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Welcome Boscoe to CCPAL Rescue. Boscoe is a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with maybe Schnauzer. He is a lower energy and a little shy. His teeth are white and clean as his adult teeth haven’t been in too long. He is good on a leash and bigger than the other two at 15 pounds. He has nice long legs so he would be a great walking companion. He is very content being beside someone and doesn’t have to be in your lap. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. The homeless person had rescued all as strays. A good Samaritan stepped up to help and called CCPAL Rescue. CCPAL took in all the homeless person’s dogs except one she wanted to keep. We will be vaccinating them and spaying them to get them ready for their forever home. This boy is not a shedding dog and is very very affectionate. He would probably look Schnauzer if he had the cut. His coat is a little course and not as soft as the schnauzer coat. He would be fine around kids but I think her best home would be with a home that someone wants a lap dog and a quieter home. He would be a great one or two person dog. He will be great company and will not require too much exercise. A small condo type yard would work for him. He is good in a crate and with other dogs. He is more vocal than his sister Merry. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transportation fee is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
I’ll be a rootin’ tootin’ shootin’ darn fool for you! Howdy, the name’s Cowboy! I’ll bet you’re wonderin’ how I wound up here. Well, darlin’, let me tell ya–it’s been a doozy! I was found roamin’ by San Antonio Animal Care Services and the dolls over at SNIPSA gave me a freedom ride over to their facility. They gave me a little southern hospitality, and I’m fixin’ to pass that forward to a forever family. So, ready to hear me out? I am a quiet, but sweet guy with a manageable energy level and a love for stuffy toys. I like to play easygoin’ games of fetch with you and cuddlin’ up after a long day. I also don’t mind the company of other canines or kiddos! Ready to give me the love I’ve been hankerin’ for? Apply to meet me, y’all!
