FosterMeet Meadow! 🌸This little sweetheart is about 10 months old and weighs just 10 pounds—she might fill out another pound or two, but she’s likely done growing. With her scruffy coat and teddy bear looks, Meadow could easily be mistaken for a living stuffed animal! We think she’s a Cairn Terrier mix, and she has the charming personality to match.Meadow is incredibly mellow and gentle. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves being around people. She’s currently settling into her new foster home, so we’ll have more updates soon—but so far, she’s proving to be an easy, lovable companion. If you’re looking for a calm and cuddly pup who’s cute as a button, Meadow might be your perfect match! 💕IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This kind and happy girl is BIRDIE.  We are not exactly sure what she is but some sort of terrier mix.  She is 1 1/2 years old and 18 pounds which makes her medium-smallish and still easy to handle.  Her pictures really do not do her justice, she looks wild in these pictures but that is hardly the case.  She has a soft wire-haired coat that will need to be groomed about every 4-5 months as it is slow growing. BIRDIE was owner surrendered because her family could no longer care for her.  She lived in an apartment so she is used to waiting until time to go out to potty.  She knows when you grab the leash that it is her time to shine, she can go for a walk and potty.  She is also totally crate trained and when I announce that I have to run an errand she puts herself in her crate. There are other dogs in the foster home and she gets along very well with everyone including spending time outside playing and enjoying the sun if only for a few minutes.  I do not have a doggy door so she waits until I say the word 'potty' to know that it is time to go out. BIRDIE's personality is kind and happy and very sweet, well mannered and easy to get along with, a non-barker as a plus. If you are interested in adopting BIRDIE please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you for your interest. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         May 25, 2025, 8:49 am

Story
Zoey`s foster family reports: Zoey is a happy goofy bundle of pint sized joy. She is curious and playful. She loves to run around the yard getting lots of sniffs in and eating a little grass. She gets along with both big and small dogs. But she is not a fan of cats. She is crate trained and will settle in on her own without much complaint. She is just the cutest little gal.

Story
Scrappy is cute, sassy and a little complicated. Scrappy ended up back at our shelter after his owner passed away unexpectedly. He’s trying to sort out his new life, and we are here to help. Scrappy is an extremely smart dog with a good base of training. Despite his 8 years of age, he still has lots of energy. He would make an excellent best friend for another dog (or two or three). We’d actually love to see him go to a home with his sibling dog, Billie (also here at the shelter), though that is not a requirement. While he is a friend to all dogs, he is not so enamored with people. He is pretty selective about who he will allow to touch him and he needs an adopter who is willing to go slow getting to know him and give him some space during the process. Scrappy can not be around children. Fortunately, Scrappy is crate trained, muzzle trained, and can learn new rules very quickly. He enjoys walks but really needs a house with a fenced yard where he can run around and expend all his excess energy. He is not an “apartment dog”. He will not do well with cats. If you think you have a good home for Scrappy we would love to hear from you.
