Story
FOR ADOPTION: VERO is a stunning 7 month old female looking for a calm and loving home. This girl was trapped on a. Rural property in Smithers along with her sister (#NWASVega), mother and presumed father. They were all quite feral when they were initially caught but thanks to time, loves and lots of tube treats they have come around to the idea of human handling. Vero is a sweet and gentle girl that loves to be gently pet and snuggled. She’s a little more cautious than her sister but just as well. Vero would be happiest in a home with calm energy, mostly like aged 10+. She loves other cats and does tend to be on the submissive side when making new buddies but does like to play once she knows they are safe. Vero has had very few interactions with dogs so far in her life but she is open to the idea of sharing space with a calm and friendly dog. Vero is quite happy indoor only and would love to continue with that lifestyle. Vero is spayed, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control. If you’ve been looking for a young cat that appreciates the quite moments of life, apply today at www.NWAS.ca for a chance to meet VERO. #NWASVero #NWASVFamily

Story
FOR ADOPTION: VEGA is a stunning 7 month old female looking for a loving and understanding family. Vega was born feral in the back yard of one of our board members. Luckily the entire kitty family was trapped and brought indoors once the people returned home from a winter away and realized they were now sharing their property. Vega was quite quick to come around to human handling with the help of lickable tube treats. Now Vega loves to be pet and cuddled and she has a super playful side once’s she’s comfortable in her environment. She’s been quite good with the other cats at the shelter and would love to find a home with one of her family members or another playful and friendly cat. Vega has had limited exposure to dogs so far and would do best with a calm and uninterested canine buddy. She can also be a little overwhelmed by rowdy children and would prefer a calm home environment whatever the age of her family. Vega is very comfortable indoor only or she does have the bush smarts to be indoor/outdoor in a safe rural environment once she is very comfortable in her home. She is spayed, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control. If you’ve been looking for a fun, sweet young cat apply today at www.NWAS.ca for a chance to meet VEGA #NWASVFamiky #NWASVega2

Story
FOR ADOPTION: BEAN is an absolutely stunning 7 year old female that is looking for a very special forever home. This girl came into our care after her loving owner moved into hospice care. Bean is a lady that is set in her ways. She knows what she likes and she really knows what she doesn’t like. Bean is a spicy girl that feels all her emotions in a big way. She’s not afraid to let you know when she’s annoyed or upset but she’s equally not afraid to show when she is happy. Bean’s dream home is as an only pet in a mature household where she can have access to the outdoors either via a secure catio or into a safe environment. Bean has successfully lived with one other, very calm, female cat for her entire life. Their relationship was one of tolerance not friendship, she’s yet to find another feline she likes well enough to put up with. Bean has also been known to be picky about her canine friends and would likely do best without having to live with them. Kids are another thing that Bean is hoping to not have in her forever home. She prefers a calm and predictable environment. Bean does have enough sugar to balance out her spicy side. Man does this lady know how to cuddle! She absolutely loves to be held and pet and would be thrilled if she could find a family that is able to spend quite a bit of time with her. That being said shes capable of relaxing and doing her own thing while her people are busy. Bean is well mannered and clean indoors and will make a very easy companion in that regard. She’s spayed, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control. If you’ve been looking for a pretty cat that is the perfect mix of sugar and spice apply today at www.NWAS.ca #NWASBean

Story
FOR ADOPTION: POM (dilute calico female) and ATLAS (grey male) are a pair of young feral cats looking for a barn or shop type home. These two were trapped in part of a semi feral colony a couple of months ago and, despite our best efforts, they do not want to be tamed. Pom and Atlas Are both young adults, a maximum of two years old. They do not want to be touched and will lash out if you push their limits. If given The opportunity they will avoid humans. They are now spayed and neutered, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control. They would love to find a home together that can provide them with a secure, heated space and lots of kibble and clean water in exchange for rodent control. They will need to be able to be safely confined to their new space for a minimum of a few weeks until they are able to feel safe and comfortable before they start heading outside. As a pair they will have a better chance of avoiding predators and they will have more success ridding your area of rodents. If you’ve been looking for some rodent control specialists that won’t produce a cat colony on your property apply Today at www.NWAS.ca for a chance to meet POM and ATLAS. #NWASBarnCats #NWASPom #NWASAtlas
