Story
Meet lovely friendly Monty! She is a beautiful 8 year old. Monty is house trained and spayed. She has been left in an unfortunate situation where her owner, who got her from a shelter 7 years ago, is now in a seniors home where pets are not allowed. We retrieved Monty from the owners home where she had been hiding. She was afraid while we were trying to retrieve her but when she landed in our arms, she turned out to be very sweet and very friendly. If you believe you are able to give Monty a loving and safe home for life then please apply for adoption here on our website.

Story
Meet Ginja! This confident guy came to us all the way from the Sunshine Coast in hopes of finding his new furrever family. Ginja wasn't settling into the shelter environment so we placed him with a foster family. According to his fosters, he is very active and will require lots of playtime to appropriately expel his extra energy. Ginja is a very intelligent kitty cat and a great conversationalist. He loves hearing about your day. He might even be able to convince you that he understands what you are talking about - especially when it comes to food.It will be in Ginja's best interest to have lots of space and stimulation. While he is charming and friendly with people, he'd prefer to be in a home without any other animals. Ginja might be tolerant of older kids and teenagers who are respectful of animal's boundaries. You can submit an application for me online as I am currently in foster. cats:https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-vancouver/ Primary Color: Ginger Tabby Weight: 6.5 Age: 7yrs 9mths 3wks

Story
Ruby is a lovely girl awaiting her furrever home! Ruby is a quiet and calm girl, slow and a bit shy to start she warms up with lots of love and pets! Some observations from the foster: She still spends the majority of her time tucked away in her box but does seem more comfortable every day. She will even "chat" with me now when I pet her and she has the cutest little meows and chirps. She is really unique looking, very pretty colouring with a copper tint and such a sweet face. I think she will make a wonderful companion for someone with a bit of patience to let her settle in and get comfortable. As she came to us as a stray we are unsure how she would do with other pets, but we think a calm environment would be best suited for this sweet girl. She may do well with another calm cat who would embrace her shy nature. Please submit an application online if I am currently in foster or if you would like to save some time when you come visit. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets have top priority.cats:https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-vancouver/Our visiting hours are:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-4:30Thursday, Public Holidays: closedSaturday, Sunday: 12-4 Primary Color: Torbie Weight: 5.87 Age: 7yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
We are having a big adoption event this Saturday, April 27th with 50% off adoptions and will be closed this Friday, April 26th to get the shelter ready. Online applications will not be considered during this weekend event (April 27th and 28th). Priority will be given to people coming in during visiting hours.Tatum came to us back in January from a large scale animal intake. As you can imagine Tatum, and a lot of the other cats, were severely under socialized and very frightened of human interaction. We have spent a lot of time giving them slow and calm introductions to humans so they can slowly learn to trust us along with medication to help with their anxiety.Tatum told us that she would like to go into a home with calm and patient humans that know how to read cat body language. She is still very nervous but would eventually settle in to a forever home that is able to give her the love and patience she deserves. Tatum has lived with other cats so a slow introduction to any resident cat could be possible. She has a little buddy that she is currently housed with, Mary Moo, who also came from the same large scale animal intake. We have not bonded them but it is an option to adopt them out together. Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets are the only ones that will be considered this weekend.cats:https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-vancouver/Our visiting hours are:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-4:30 (Closed Friday, April 26th)Thursday, Public Holidays: closedSaturday, Sunday: 12-4 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 5.19 Age: 3yrs 2mths 0wks
