Story
Meow, my name is Lillian! I'm an adorable ex-feral cat from northern BC, and it has taken me a long time to adjust to you city folk! It's coming up to my first birthday, and I'd love to find somewhere long term I can settle and feel safe. With my unique white spots under my nose and white whiskers, my sheepy meows, and rather robust waistline you'd be forgiven for mistaking me for a small sheep! I've now learnt just how good it feels to do rolly polies on the rug for some big stretches, head rub my pet human, and roll over frequently for belly rubs. I'm getting more and more chatty and spending more time out of my hiding spots every day. I am very affectionate, gentle, and have never scratched and hardly hiss. I love to play with my toys that jingle and do zoomies around the living room at night time just when my pet human is winding down to sleep. I am hoping to find a quiet, adult-only home with someone who is patient with me and doesn't mind giving me belly rubs once in a while. I might be scared at first, and hide for a while, but after some time I will show buckets of love you've never had before. I will need to be kept safely indoors. My ideal family will have experience with under-socialized cats. I will never get over my fear and dislikes of dogs so please no doggy siblings for me!!!!I'm currently in foster so, if you are interested in meeting her, please fill out an application online and send it to the Vancouver Branch. We look forward to hearing from you!PET ADOPTION: To view available animals and learn more about our adoption process, please visit our website at https://adopt.spca.bc.ca/. Story
I'm Buddy! I was brought into the shelter as a stray by a good samaritan. I'm seeking a relaxing retirement home where I can live the rest of my years in comfort. I would prefer a quiet home without small children where I am the only animal in the house. I'm a little purrr monster and I can't wait to snuggle up with you on a cozy sofa! Come meet me today :)PET ADOPTION: To view available animals and learn more about our adoption process, please visit our website at https://adopt.spca.bc.ca/. Story
Scoots is proof of what patience and kindness can do for a kitty. When he arrived, he was tiny and timid. Now, he is full-sized and curious. Both he and his brother, Tux, will hide when there are strangers about. However, Scoots will be the first one out of hiding. Scoots is also first to the kitchen door at meal times or when he smells something yummy. When he isn't near the kitchen, hoping in vain for a roast chicken to fall from the counter, he enjoys sitting on top of the couch, observing the goings-on in the house. He also enjoys playing with Tux, or just curling up with him for a nap. Scoots does not like to be petted, but there has been some progress on that. If touched, he will now step back a foot and stare disapprovingly at the impertinent human. He used to jump two feet and hide. He will sometimes rub his nose on one of his fosters' foreheads though. That would have been impossible when he arrived. In contrast, Tux will gladly take his share of any pets on offer. Must adopt with Tux.

Story
If you're looking for an affectionate Kitty, Tux is the one for you. When you pet him, he will flop onto his side, exposing his belly. This is a remarkable show of trust for a cat who was so timid upon arrival. In fact, he has grown so fond of pets that, should the human dare leave before he has had enough, the human will receive a gentle tap with a paw. This may be his way of saying, "and where do you think you're going? I haven't finished yet". When he isn't chasing his favourite ball around, Tux enjoys playing or napping with his brother, Scoots. He also likes to bird watch from a window, so please make sure yours have screens. Piles of unfolded laundry will be claimed by Tux quickly, especially towels. Tux is very afraid of strangers, so in-person viewings probably won't work. However, once he is settled in his new home, he will likely come out and be friendly eventually. He likes pets too much to hide forever. Tux is extremely gentle. He loves to rough house with Scoots, but he is gentle enough with people that one of his fosters lets him nuzzle him on the nose. Must adopt with Scoots.

Story
Huey is a sweet boy who craves your attention. He will be the first to greet you at the door and chirp a goodbye when you leave for the day. Anytime you're sitting down, he will happily jump onto your chest and nap around your neck like the softest little scarf. Because Houman can become bored and chew to keep himself occupied, he requires an adopter who has ample time to play with him each day. Huey has a few quirks that make him endearing. He is extremely chatty, plays a mean game of Marco Polo, and will paw at himself when he catches a glimpse through the mirror. One of a kind, Houman gets along well with both guests and other cats. He is bonded to his brother, Kamran, and is fiercely protective of him. As this is the case, the two must be adopted together. Must be adopted with Kamran.

Story
Kamran is shy at first, but when he gets comfortable, he has so much energy and love to give. He is bonded to his brother, Houman, and has taught Houman patience and gentleness while getting his nails trimmed and his teeth brushed. Kam would do well in a household with an experienced adopter who is home often and has a set routine. While he loves guests and his foster siblings, he'll retreat to his safe area when he's left alone for too long. Unfamiliar things may make him uncertain, but once he's comfortable, Kam is a daredevil, jumping from the tallest cat tree onto the bed without fear. Kam develops attachments quickly and will follow you from room to room just to be close. His favourite game is hide-and-seek, although it often turns into tag since he is too excited to wait for you to hide. Being held isn't something that Kam enjoys, but he will snuggle up to you, getting as close as possible. He loves belly rubs so much that he'll somersault onto his back when you start to pet him. If you show him patience, Kamran will give you his whole heart. Must adopt with Houman.

Story
Meet Cicada & Silverfish! * We are open to looking for a foster home if you can't commit to adopting long term, but want to help out some cats in need. These girls would benefit from socializing in a home. If you are interested in fostering these two, please contact the West Vancouver branch. This is a duo where opposites certainly attract. Both girls were under-socialized in their original home, and came to us very scared of people. Cicada (Sick-Kay-Duh) is much more outgoing and interested in making friends with humans than Silverfish is currently. Cicada will purr and happily snack on treats, and is slowly building up how much touch she is comfortable with. We feel with time, effort, and patience Cicada will bond closely with the perfect person. Silverfish is also a very brave girl who has not always had it easy. She is still quite scared of staff and will often hide to feel safe. But boy do these two love each other. We always find them curled up together, spooning, snuggling, or affectionately cleaning each other's faces. We know it's going to take time and a very special home, but we're hopeful a cat-savy person will be what they need to start blossoming and coming out of their shells. If you are interested in meeting these two feel free to stop by from 12-3pm Tuesday to Sundays. You can also fill out an application through the website! Story
Meet little Luna!Luna is a darling deaf senior cat who is looking for a furever home where she can peacefully live out her golden years with you. Luna loves her naps and she could easily spend 98% of her time sleepily snuggled up on your lap. She is in fact quite insistent about this and if her humans are home and not providing a lap for her she will let you know that she disapproves with robust but utterly endearing meows that can't be ignored. She is a vocal girl and has a surprisingly big voice for such a tiny girl. She rarely vocalizes at night, however so her humans can sleep. Luna is completely deaf so she will need to be strictly indoors-only to keep her safe. She is elderly and needs a restful environment so she will need to be the only animal in her new home. Luna is a small cat and she weighs just 2 kg. Her vet tests showed no health issues and she has been putting on weight while in her foster home. She is a finicky eater but we've found food choices that she enjoys and this is helping her to steadily gain weight. If you are interested in adopting a super snuggly senior cat then Luna might be the girl for you. Fill out an application or call the Centre to find out more about her and schedule a meet and greet in her foster home. Primary Color: Black Weight: 2.159 Age: 16yrs 2mths 1wks

Laura being a very under socialized kitten, is seeking a home with another confident feline. This would help build up her trust to human interaction. In the right home and given sufficient time and consideration, she can become a loving and trusting companion.
