Meomi is a resilient 7yo survivor looking for a patient heart. Once she trusts you, she is the ultimate companion- she'll claim your chest or lap as her throne for TV time and sleep right beside you at night. She even gives a gentle morning paw to the face to wake you up!She has been through a lot lately, including the trauma of being trapped and caged. Because of this, she is "spicy" and protective of her space and will give a little hiss if she's feeling overstimulated, wants her personal space and to communicate her boundaries. She isn't mean; she's just a clear communicator who needs to feel secure.Expect a 2 month adjustment period. She needs a quite home (no small kids) with someone who understands that a little sass makes the snuggles more rewarding. And someone who appreciates a cat with a big personality. If you give her time to decompress, she will be your most loyal friend.

I have fostered kitties before, but now one of my own kitties, a 10 year old rescued Calico, needs help. Her healed fractured hip (from a car) was crooked, so she developed Megacolon, which I paid to clear this month. Her blood is normal. I must feed her two to three times daily by syringe with added fiber and laxatives, and she resists. I add gastrointestinal and biome medicated food because what she eats herself won't sustain her. I am willing to pay for her food supplies for life if an experienced foster parent could do the feeding. Please let me know if this is possible. I have her medical records and xrays to provide you as well. At least, I had scheduled an out of town trip for 14 days on the 18th; if a foster parent could help then at least, it would be appreciated. I do have a pet sitter, but I am concerned that 'Calico' not receive adequate care during this time. I prefer to be able to keep in touch with the adoptive parent, thanks.
