Meet Evangeline Evangeline is a gorgeous kitty about 1 1/2 years old. She came to us as a tiny kitten and has struggled to be brave in our kitten room. Just recently she is coming out of her shell and has made it known to us that she's ready to find her forever home! If you are willing to take a chance on a quiet girl, Evangeline will love you forever! She would do best with one of her buddies from our kitten room or a sweet kitty already in the home. If you can offer a safe, indoor environment for Evangeline, please submit an application online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. On our home page, please click "How To Adopt." Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has been successfully submitted. If you don’t receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

We had Callie come to live with us appoximatley 2 years ago. Calli is 2-3 years old. She is a sweet loving cat that likes to sit with us. She is currently an indoor/outdoor cat. However we already had another cat at our home when Callie came to llive with us. He does not get along well with her. We tried to make it work but it is very difficlut for us. Therfore it is with heavy hearts that we have to rehome her. She will be a wonderful additon to any cat loving family.

Waffles is 4 years old. We got her from another family that was going to give her to the shelter so we snatched her up. She is very spry for such a large cat. She’s just a chunky girl with lots of love. She’s very sweet and attention hungry with the people she loves. She needs food that isn’t generic brands. We hate to see her go but we must because we have too many cats for the places we are looking at.

Sunshine is a pretty little calico. Her feral mom looks like her. She loves playing with her siblings, Starr and Rocky. Sunshine was rescued with her siblings to enjoy a better indoor loving home. Adoption applications are online at whiskersproject.org.

Such a great kitten, we just rescued it and it's brother from a rough living situation and we're not allowed to have pets where I live and also my wife is pregnant so we just don't have time for a cat
