Story
Meet Evangeline Evangeline is a gorgeous kitty about 1 1/2 years old. She came to us as a tiny kitten and has struggled to be brave in our kitten room. Just recently she is coming out of her shell and has made it known to us that she's ready to find her forever home! If you are willing to take a chance on a quiet girl, Evangeline will love you forever! She would do best with one of her buddies from our kitten room or a sweet kitty already in the home. If you can offer a safe, indoor environment for Evangeline, please submit an application online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. On our home page, please click "How To Adopt." Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has been successfully submitted. If you don’t receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Story
This unique female calico kitty is looking for a loving forever home She is a special girl wiith unusual markings and a playful personality. Her mommy was brought in out of the cold one evening and was pregnant. She gave birth to three babies. The kind lady that lived in the house cannot keep all, she is in her 80s but she worries that they get a good home. They have been loved on since birth and with their mommy and a couple older cats also. They all enjoy seeing visitors and the grandson is a treat when he comes around.

Story
Female mother cat, seems young, and has four female kittens left. Found her under my house, but I have no space for her and her litter. She doesn't mind my dog or other cats, just keeps to herself and kids, but is friendly with people. Can adopt a kitten too, if its not possible to take them all, just want to find homes for them soon. The kittens are about a month old now.

Story
Aurora is 6 years old. She was adopted by my adult daughter from the county animal shelter during Covid. My daughter gave her to me when she was a year old and she has lived with me since. She’s always lived inside. We have two small dogs and my daughter’s large dog lived with us a while. Along with her two male cats. Aurora is great with other cats and dogs as well. She loves to sit in your lap or lay on the furniture. She also loves to eat! Her favorite flavor is salmon! And she loves temptations treats! She previously used clay litter and now uses pellets and does great with both. My son has stayed sick with allergies for a long time and we recently got him tested and he is very allergic. So we have to rehome Aurora unfortunately. I want her to go to a loving home💗
