Hi, I’m Lara! At first glance, you might think I’m perpetually exhausted. With my mostly white coat, beautiful calico patches, and my signature “I just woke up from a three-day nap” expression, I definitely LOOK like I’m tired all the time. But don’t let my sleepy face fool you—I’ve actually got a pretty good amount of energy and I’m always ready to get into a little something! One of my favorite pastimes is making art… but I have a very specific medium: cardboard! Give me a cardboard box and I’ll turn it into my next masterpiece by biting, chewing, and generally giving it my personal artistic interpretation. I take my craft very seriously, so you may find a few of my original works scattered around your home. But when I’m not busy creating cardboard sculptures, I’m all about the love. I absolutely adore getting pets and snuggling up with my favorite people. So if you’re looking for a beautiful girl with a sleepy face, a playful spirit, a passion for cardboard art, and a whole lot of love to give, I think you’ve found your girl. Come meet me, and I’ll show you just how sweet life with Lara can be!________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved. Tiger – Sweet Kitty Girl for Adoption! Contact dcmcats@yahoo.com Tiger is a big talker! She loves being scratched & petted but does give cat little nips (pinches) while you are petting her or brushing her, LOL! But she isn’t intending to hurt you, just letting you know it tickles. She and Peaches are from the same litter and were born in the shipyard. She is spayed and is approximately 5 years old. Tiger is a Calico with lots of white and lovely markings. She is a bit overweight being in a multi-cat household. We would be happy to recommend some low carb foods so she can loose weight but still get proper nutrition. She gets along well with other cats, but can be adopted solo or with her buddy Peaches. See pic of them cuddling together! Please send an e-mail to dcmcats@yahoo.com for an application and include an introduction about yourself and your household, and a little about your typical daily and weekend schedule and activities is like, if you are interested in meeting Tiger.

Sweet Girl Peaches – Special Needs Kitty Contact dcmcats@yahoo.com Peaches is a sweet cat who craves attention! She was rescued from a shipyard where she was found abandoned with another cat. She is so very sweet and is affectionate, and loving and easy going. She is spayed and is about 5 years old. She is great with other cats and loves to wash one of the rescued feral cats. She just needs some help getting in shape! She is a big Calico with a pretty face and beautiful green eyes. She is a special needs kitty who requires help with grooming until she looses weight, she cannot reach all her parts. Her rescuer is unable to keep her separated from other cats and works long hours, so she has access to food all the time. She requires a home where she can be fed separately and not free fed, so she can be more active. She liked to run on an exercise wheel when she was thinner. Peaches gets along well with other cats, but can be adopted solo or with her buddy Tiger. See pic of them cuddling together. Her rescuer is looking for someone who is experienced with special needs cats or with cats who need to watch their weight. Peaches will need to loose weight gradually so that she does not overtax her liver, or feel deprived. We are happy to recommend some low carb cat foods for her special diet. Please email dcmcats@yahoo.com for an application and include a little about yourself and your household and what your typical daily and weekend schedule is like, so we can help you decide if Peaches is the perfect cat for you! And also please include any experience taking care of a special needs or kitties who need to watch their figures! Or if would like some guidelines.

Beautiful Callie, A Chill Mellow Cat Contact: dcmcats@yahoo.com Callie is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat who showed up and had 3 kittens before she could be spayed. She is a sweet low key girl who likes to chill out and spend her days cuddling in her various cat beds cuddling her stuffed animal toys-her favorite being lamb chop! She does not like to be alone. Callie loves being inside having people and soft beds and plenty to eat. She is fluffy with medium length fur and is very soft. She very much enjoys hanging out with people and being pet and sitting next to her humans, but not sitting on your lap and is not too fond with getting picked up. But Callie is happy to be brushed and pet all day long! She is ok with other mellow cats but doesn’t seek out other kitties. She will play occasionally play with wand toys but really prefers to chill with you. She will watch what you do and is a quiet kitty. Callie would be a great choice for someone as a companion cat for someone or a couple who have a quiet home and like to chill out or for an older person who prefers relaxing to partying. She is a beautiful and healthy cat! Callie had a full blood panel done and is fully vaccinated and tested negative for both Feluk and FIF. She had some surgery on her for an injury when she was rescued but it has healed completely. Please send an email to dcmcats@yahoo.com for an application and include a little about yourself and your household, and what your typical daily and weekend schedule is like, so we can help you decide if Callie is your perfect cat!

Meet Mama Cat, a beautiful 1-year-old with the perfect mix of playful energy and nurturing sweetness. True to her name, she has a caring, gentle nature but still loves to have fun, whether she’s chasing toys or soaking up attention from her favorite people. Mama Cat is a big fan of the simple joys in life, especially sunbathing in a warm spot where she can relax and recharge. She’s wonderfully easygoing and doesn’t mind being carried, happily letting you scoop her up for extra cuddles. And when it comes to mealtime, she’s very enthusiastic! To Mama Cat, a half-full bowl is basically empty, and she won’t hesitate to remind you when it’s time for a refill. She gets along well with other cats and dogs, making her a great addition to a multi-pet household. With her loving personality, playful spirit, and charming quirks, Mama Cat is truly a wonderful companion who’s ready to bring warmth and happiness to her forever home. Rah an incredibly cuddly, friendly, shorthaired tabby cat. He gets along great with other animals catch dogs. He hasn’t been around young kids, but given his demeanor he should be okay. He really just needs a loving home as we are likely moving out of the state soon.
