Story
Meet Nala. Nala is a sweet playful girl. She loves a good cuddle, but also loves to jump at string and chase her tail. Nala is about 3 years old. Due to no fault of her own she is looking for a new home that will give her the love and opportunity to be the only cat in the house. Nala dose fine with our male cat but after our female cat was found (went missing before we got Nala) and was returned home, Nala has not been pleased with Julie’s return. They don’t fight but Nala is very tense and stressed, sometimes peeing on the floor. As hard as it is to give Nala up, we know it’s not fair for her to live in a home that makes her stressed with another female cat.

Story
Ember is a beautiful calico girl with a shy but incredibly sweet personality. While she may take a little time to feel comfortable, once she does, her gentle and loving side begins to shine through. We've been told that Ember enjoys cuddling as well as playtime. Some of her favorite games include chasing strings and batting at feather wands. She recently allowed pets and quickly started purring, showing that she truly enjoys affection and wants to connect with people. Ember has a calm, quiet demeanor and would likely thrive in a patient home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. Ember has lived with other cats in the past. We've been told that Ember is a bit of a foodie and that some of her favorite treats are temptations mix ups and she loves a little water in her food. With her stunning calico coloring and soft personality, Ember is a special cat who simply needs someone willing to give her a little time, kindness, and understanding.

Story
Ballerina is a beautiful, 1 year old pastel calico with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love. This sweet girl has already overcome more than any cat ever should, but she hasn’t let that dim her joyful outlook on life. After suffering a severe injury to her front leg (likely from being clipped by a car), Ballerina underwent a leg amputation. Despite everything she endured, she bounced back remarkably quickly. Within just two days of surgery, she had regained her balance and was confidently moving around on three legs. She shows no signs of slowing down and doesn’t seem bothered by her amputation at all. Ballerina is incredibly affectionate and absolutely adores attention. She has been described as a dog in a cat’s body because she seeks out people and loves being petted. She’ll even stand up on her back legs to get closer for pets, head bumps, and affection. She welcomes being picked up and carried around like the little princess she is and rewards her favorite people with loud purrs and endless gratitude. She has been an excellent litter box user, adapts beautifully to life as a tripod, and continues to amaze everyone she meets with her resilience and loving nature. All Ballerina needs now is a forever home where she can be cherished and spoiled. Let Ballerina dance her way into your heart and show you just how much love one little tripod can give!

Story
Gigi spends her day exactly how she wants to. She loves having a routine and will let you know if you are late for feedings by meowing, bumping into your legs, swatting the air near you, or simply giving you her stare of death. She does not like to be picked up and will let you know by loudly yelling, this will likely not change. She enjoys sleeping in her bed, but that is HER space. She does not want pets while she is sleeping and cozy. She will occasionally snuggle in a pile under blankets. She also does not want to be pet while she is there. She enjoys to self-play with sparkly pompom balls but does not want to engage in play with you, these are her toys, not yours. Despite not wanting a lot of things, she actually does really love pets and snuggling. But strictly on her terms. Most of the time if you go in her room and sit down, she insists on sitting in your lap. Do not be fooled, this is not an invitation for a hug, you are simply furniture. While she is in your lap she will purr and make biscuits and you CAN pet her here. But don't get too crazy because she may bite you. (It's really just a nibble.) Gigi does not enjoy fast movements, loud noises, or cat carriers. Although, her office mate has been doing really good work on desensitization to carriers and she will go in for a treat! Gigi has a lot of trust issues, but once you earn her trust, it is magical. Gigi's officemate has also been working on her tolerance to children by sacrificing her own child. We have found that if the child is quiet and respectful of Gigi's boundaries, she actually seems to enjoy them! Said child has helped with feeding her and will go in for visits and has been awarded the badge of "Gigi snuggler". Gigi is an amazing cat, but she has been through a lot. If you're looking to adopt a lovable grump, she is the lady for you!

Story
Lola is a one year old black female who is social and tolerant in new places and around new people. She is very affectionate but can sometimes overstimulate during petting, often playfully grabbing your arm or giving gentle play bites. Lola would thrive in a home that can provide regular play sessions, plenty of toys, and enrichment to keep her busy and happy. She has no known history with other pets or children, so introductions should be done carefully. Lola is a playful and loving companion for the right family who can match her energy.

Story
Gilligan is an approximately 12 year old super sweet boy. He was found as a soaking wet kitten abandoned on a stormy night (which sounds a little bit like his namesake’s story). His human brought him in that night and made a loving home for him for these last 12 years until she recently passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago. Gilligan now finds himself looking for another family to share his golden retirement. Gilligan’s foster mom has described him as an absolute sweetheart who gave her head butts within hours of his arrival at his foster home. He can be a little shy initially when he meets a new person but he will gradually come out to see what’s happening and once he knows he can trust you, he’s a lap cat who enjoys being petted. Even though he’s a little bit older, he still enjoys playing particularly with toy mice, wand toys, or chasing a laser pointer. Gilligan is a quiet cat for the most part but he does have a nice purr. He enjoys lounging and taking a nap with his human family member and was a great companion to his previous mom. Gilligan is just as cute as his very fun name. Can you open your heart and home to this sweet and lovable senior boy?
