Story
Lily is a 2.5 year old loving black beauty with golden eyes. She loves rolling in front of people and flopping down for belly rubs and laying next to your side. She has a very loud purr when she is being petted and getting attention. She enjoys wand toys and a laser light and she likes running water from a faucet so a pet fountain would likely be a nice treat for her. She came into her foster home with her sister Baby (also on Petfinder) and she is more confident than her sister and came out to greet her foster parents pretty quickly. Lily can be adopted separately or with her sister or to a home with other laid back cats with a proper introduction. She has lived with other cats previously and has done just fine. She will be fine with smaller (not hyper) dogs but has been intimidated by larger dogs in the past. In her previous home, there were also some birds and she seemed to think they were something to play with rather than her family members so she will do best in a home without birds or other small animals except other cats. She has done very well with children too. Lily is a quiet cat who has cute little squeaks when she does decide to speak. Her purrs are pretty loud though and we’re sure she is communicating through those. She is very gentle with her claws and will appreciate a scratching post and a cat tree with a cubby hole in her new home.

Story
Baby is a 3 year old very sweet tuxedo girl with a very cute black freckle on her nose. She may be a little shy when she first goes to a new family but once she realizes that she is in a safe place, she will start to blossom and show you her true self. She enjoys playing and is very gentle when she does – some favorite toys are stick/wand toys and cat nip of course. She loves to ride on shoulders if you will let her. She likes to be up high to scope out the world and enjoys boxes too. She likes to roll in a bathtub (without water of course) and is a huge fan of belly rubs and head scratching. She can be pretty vocal when she is ready to eat so if you like a chatty cat, Baby is happy to carry on a conversation with you. Baby has lived with other cats before and also gets along well with dogs and other animals (including birds in her previous home). She is good with children as well. Baby came into her foster home with her sister Lily (also on Petfinder) but she can be adopted separately but she will do well in a home with another laid back cat or with Lily for the family who is willing to add two cats to their home.

Story
Meet handsome Boots with his striking white mittens. We don’t know exactly how old this friendly boy is but we are estimating that he is about 8 years old. It seems that he has lived the majority of his life outside prior to a kind lady bringing him inside. He now has zero desire to go outside again after experiencing the warmth and comforts of indoor living. This is important because all Reuben’s Room cats must be indoor only in their new home. Boots is currently staying in a home with two other cats and he does fine with them but his foster thinks that he may be happier if he is the only cat so that he can get all the attention for himself. He loves cuddling and sitting beside people and on their laps. He is a dedicated, loyal companion who enjoys being petted and if he doesn’t think you are petting him enough, he will happily grab your hand to remind you of your duties. He would enjoy sleeping with you if you allow it. Boots is a huge fan of catnip balls and he also enjoys wand toys as long as you bring it to him rather than him having to chase it. His favorite thing is a cardboard scratcher and he will definitely need several of those in his new home and he uses it nearly every time he gets up from a cat nap. As long as he has his scratchers, he will do fine without messing with furniture. When visitors come, he most likely won’t run and hide but he will stand by and cautiously wait for them to sit down and then check them out to make sure they are safe. It won’t take him long at all to get comfortable especially if it means someone else is wiling to pet him. We don’t know for certain how he would be with dogs but if the dog is laid back and not hyper and doesn’t bark a lot, he may be just fine. He isn’t a fan of some neighbor dogs but they are big barkers and jumpers. He may be fine with children as long as they understand cat boundaries and he’s a pretty laid back boy overall. Boots is a big boy who loves food and may benefit from a little weight loss. He will roll over and flop and enjoys having you rub under his front underarms. He is getting used to having his belly rubbed and with the right person and enough time, he may come to enjoy that too. He can be a little bit of a chirper when he’s watching things outside but mostly he’s a quiet boy. He is okay with being picked up which isn’t always that common with cats. Contact us today for an application for this sweet, beautiful boy who is looking forward to snuggling with you in your toasty warm home.
